Meridian (Chinese medicine)

The meridian system (simplified Chinese: 经络; traditional Chinese: 經絡; pinyin: jīngluò, also called channel network) is a concept in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) about a path through which the life-energy known as "qi" flows.

Meridians are not real anatomical structures: scientists have found no evidence that supports their existence.

Main concepts
The meridian network is typically divided into 2 categories, the jingmai (經脈) or meridian channels and the luomai (絡脈) or associated vessels (sometimes called "collaterals"). The jingmai contain the 12 tendinomuscular meridians, the 12 divergent meridians, the 12 principal meridians, the 8 extraordinary vessels as well as the Huato channel, a set of bilateral points on the lower back whose discovery is attributed to the ancient physician Hua Tuo. The collaterals contain 15 major arteries that connect the 12 principal meridians in various ways, in addition to the interaction with their associated internal organs and other related internal structures. The collateral system also incorporates a branching expanse of capillary-like vessels which spread throughout the body, namely in the 12 cutaneous regions as well as emanating from each point on the principal meridians. If one counts the number of unique points on each meridian, the total comes to 361, although 365 is usually used since it coincides with the number of days in a year. Note that this method ignores the fact that the bulk of acupoints are bilateral, making the actual total 670.

There are about 400 acupuncture points (not counting bilateral points twice) most of which are situated along the major 20 pathways (i.e. 12 primary and 8 extraordinary channels). However, by the 2nd Century AD, 649 acupuncture points were recognized in China (reckoned by counting bilateral points twice). There are "Twelve Principal Meridians" where each meridian corresponds to either a hollow or solid organ; interacting with it and extending along a particular extremity (i.e. arm or leg). There are also "Eight Extraordinary Channels", two of which have their own sets of points, and the remaining ones connecting points on other channels.

Twelve standard meridians
The twelve standard meridians, also called Principal Meridians, are divided into Yin and Yang groups. The Yin meridians of the arm are Lung, Heart, and Pericardium. The Yang meridians of the arm are Large Intestine, Small Intestine, and Triple Burner. The Yin Meridians of the leg are Spleen, Kidney, and Liver. The Yang meridians of the leg are Stomach, Bladder, and Gall Bladder.

The table below gives a more systematic list of the twelve standard meridians:

Yangming Stomach Channel of Foot (足阳明胃经) or Foot's Yang Supreme Stomach Meridian Yang Bright (yangming, 阳明) Foot (足) Earth (土) Stomach (胃) 辰 [chén] 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Eight extraordinary meridians
The eight extraordinary meridians are of pivotal importance in the study of Qigong, T'ai chi ch'uan and Chinese alchemy.[7] These eight extra meridians are different to the standard twelve organ meridians in that they are considered to be storage vessels or reservoirs of energy and are not associated directly with the Zang Fu, i.e. internal organs. These channels were first systematically referred to in the "Spiritual Axis" chapters 17, 21 and 62, the "Classic of Difficulties" chapters 27, 28 and 29 and the "Study of the 8 Extraordinary vessels" (Qi Jing Ba Mai Kao) by Li Shi Zhen 1578.

The eight extraordinary vessels are (奇經八脈; qí jīng bā mài):

Conception Vessel (Ren Mai) - 任脈 [rèn mài]
Governing Vessel (Du Mai) - 督脈 [dū mài]
Penetrating Vessel (Chong Mai) - 衝脈 [chōng mài]
Girdle Vessel (Dai Mai) - 帶脈 [dài mài]
Yin linking vessel (Yin Wei Mai) - 陰維脈 [yīn wéi mài]
Yang linking vessel (Yang Wei Mai) - 陽維脈 [yáng wéi mài]
Yin Heel Vessel (Yin Qiao Mai) - 陰蹻脈 [yīn qiāo mài]
Yang Heel Vessel (Yang Qiao Mai) - 陽蹻脈 [yáng qiāo mài]
Scientific view of meridian theory[edit]
Meridians do not exist: scientists have found no evidence that supports their existence.

According to Steven Novella, "there is no evidence that the meridians actually exist. At the risk of sounding redundant, they are as made up and fictional as the ether, flogistum, Bigfoot, and unicorns."

The National Council Against Health Fraud concluded that "[t]he meridians are imaginary; their locations do not relate to internal organs, and therefore do not relate to human anatomy."

Why do we tap Faster EFT style?
We are creating a disruption in the mind-body communication system.
It is CLEAN, FAST and EASY.
Stress in the body's reaction to PERCEPTION: it is how we are pursuit and producing it. The key organs that are responsible for the stressors are the bladder (EB), the gallbladder (SE), the stomach (UE), the kidneys (CB), the lungs (TH), the large intestine (IF), the circulation (MF), the heart (RF), and the small intestine (BF).
How do we tap?
The most powerful part of tapping is AIMING.
AIMING is where you are going to get RESULTS.
Where do we tap?
EB (Eyebrow) and say 'let it go'.
SE (Side of the Eye) and say 'let it go'.
UE (Under the Eye) and say 'let it go'.
CB (Collarbone) and say 'let it go'.
Grab the Wrist and take a Deep Breath. Say "Peace" on Exhalation.

"I know a lot of people who write me and say that they can't get something go away. They have been tapping and are looking for the 'magic phrase'. They are of course coming from the Classic EFT style of tapping: 'Even though ..." The problem is if I am an EFT practitioner (which I am not) and you are sitting here on the chair, guess who is going to do the work? The practitioner is expected to do the guess work. In Faster EFT, I don't do that guess work; the client does all the work because it is their world. I am stepping into their world. It is so amazing what comes out of people; I just become quiet and listen. This lady has severe allergies to peanuts; just thinking about peanuts was enough to trigger her. Just by thinking about peanuts, her body started to change. So, it is not the peanut. Rather it is the unconscious and the reaction to the peanut. I started tapping on her and told her to be aware of any memories that show up. She remembers that she is six years old and that she hates her aunt. She started telling her aunt is in a wheelchair and is mean. Her aunt is eating peanuts and is going to hit the client (the younger version) with a rolling pen and the end of the rolling pen looks like a beer. I kept tapping on the client and addressed her physical and emotional reaction to the peanut. She changed as a result. The unconscious mind starts to move its stuff around. Remember when I said that wealth and finances is not really about the money but it is about your relationships: your relationship with God, mother, and yourself. What we want to do is go back inside the mind and figure out what it is that you are doing correctly to produce whatever you are supposed to produce and change what you are currently producing. Tapping is all about AIMING at what is inside the mind. The target could be emotions, pictures in the head, sound, or smell. I close my eyes and notice it. I look at it inside me. I notice whatever it is. I don't have strong visual pictures but I have weird things happen to me. I lay in bed and hear the doorbell ring; I don't have a doorbell. Internally we are doing something correctly and then we aim at THAT: it could be a feeling; it could be a smell; it could be a sensation (it could be a location, tightness, or heaviness); it could be a visual; it could be auditory. AIMING is where you are going to get changes."

Well. the question is not for you but a lot of people get to the point as you well know that tapping is not working and are needing what to do.  Giving them the idea it is not blocked energy but rather inner representations is where you are to aim.

The problem does not lie with the triple warmer but rather within the mind.  Changing the mind changes the body.  Tapping is only one way of addressing the mind.

ADD is an internal way of processing information built from the past.  I have help many to change the idea of ADD which by the way was real in their past but not any more.

Let me explain, ADD is a behavioral pattern noticed by the psychology community based on someone who have trouble focusing, being still, learning and sometimes uncomfortable.  But what is happening is the individual is in a stressed state of not learning or focusing because they have conditioning to do so.  Once you go inside the mind, know what they are doing within, change the emotional dynamics then ADD disappears.  It is not a learning disability but a different program running inside their own minds. Hyper vigilant on one area of life and in other areas they could focus for hours.

I never realized TAPPING could be so much fun and inexpensive.

Spend more time with these videos and you will see it is not about tapping points but a totally different way of addressing how you have problems.

What about the setup to clear psychological reversal which is present in most chronic struggles?
Their is no psychological reversal that  "set up tapping" can change the issue.  You can, however, address the payoffs, the belief system that supports the issue which is after you elicit the mental program of the problem.   It is not an energy issue but rather a whole system of beliefs that keep it alive. You can learn how to change yourself. https://fastereft.com/course/faster-eft-practitioner-level-1-training-online/

I bet intuition plays a vital role in using EFT as well.
Those who learned EFT needed intuitive guessing because they were not taught how the mind works.  They had an idea that it was blocked energy which is not remotely true but rather it is because of life experiences and memories.  Once you understand how the mind works and how it uses memories you then no longer need intuition but rather asking the right questions.  Then change the memories. https://fastereft.com/blog/energy-psychology-compared-faster-eft/
