Peachy Cucumber Cooler

It’s super easy to make with only 3 ingredients – peaches, cucumber, and lemon juice. The peaches add the perfect amount of flavor and sweetness, the cucumber makes this drink ultimately refreshing and satisfying, and the lemon juice adds a hint of tartness to yield a perfectly balanced flavor.

Peaches

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Frozen Sliced Peaches
  • ½    Cucumber
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice

Directions

  • Thaw the frozen peaches for 10 minutes.
  • Add all of the ingredients to your Colossal Cup, and blend until completely smooth.
  • Enjoy!

  • Helps improve blood circulation
  • Helps stimulate digestion
  • Promotes healthy skin
  • Rich source of Vitamin C
  • Rich source of Vitamin A
Juicy, succulent peaches are packed with vitamin C, beta-carotene, and antioxidants. They are quickly joining the ranks of the usually purple antioxidant-rich superfruits. To prepare for extraction, rinse well, cut in half and remove the pit. No need to remove the skin, especially if you choose organic peaches.
The process for choosing peaches and nectarines is almost identical. Buy fresh over frozen or canned if you can, and never buy canned peaches that have been packed in syrup. The best peaches will be fragrant, soft, and free of bruises. Ripe peaches should be eaten as soon as possible.

Cucumbers

  • Aids in protein digestion
  • Helps cleanse the intestines
  • Supports skin health
Cucumber, made up of 96 percent water, is one of the most hydrating fruits you can add to your NutriBlast. Its high water content is excellent for skin health and detoxification, and only recently has the cucumber been studied for it's anti-cancer promoting benefits. Cucmbers contain numerous antioxidants, including vitamin C, beta-carotene and manganese, as well as lignans and a phytonutrient group called cucurbitacins, which help block the pathways necessary for cancer cell development and survival. Fresh cucumber extracts have also been shown to help reduce inflammation in some animal studies.
Though purchasing organic cucumbers is always best, we know it's not always an option, so always look for cucumbers that are bright and evenly colored. They should be firm all the way through to the tips and should not have any dark spots or blemishes. For longer-lasting freshness, store cucumbers in the refrigerator for several days.
