Dear Sir / Madam
We are a group of parents (some of whom are already vaccinated) with concerns on the latest data of side effects from mRNA vaccines on the young population.
On 24 June 2021, it was reported that the CDC (USA) started investigating the death of a 13 year-old male, from heart failure after vaccination with a mRNA vaccine. https://nbc25news.com/news/local/cdc-investigating...https://nbc25news.com/news/local/cdc-investigating...
While the CDC is conducting the investigation, could we please suspend the vaccination of our population under the age of 30, especially 12-15 school going children?
Many of our youths already had their first dose. HSA has claimed that the first dose provides 80% efficacy. Wouldn’t that be enough protection while we await the results of the investigation before we proceed with the second dose?
The moratorium is prudent, to protect our children until more data comes to us from the USA.
Prior to the tragic death of that young child, since April 2021, there have been more than a thousand reports to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) of cases of inflammation of the heart—myocarditis and pericarditis—happening after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination (i.e., Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna) in the United States.

In Israel, there have also been reports of occurrence of 90% of cases of myocarditis after the second vaccination, with a median time of a few days. An incidence up to 20 times higher in the younger age group supports the premise that there is a causal rather than an incidental link. This has led to the Israeli Public Emergency Council for the COVID-19 Crisis (comprising many eminent doctors and scientists) calling for a suspension of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign for population under the age of 30.

As it stands now, there is zero death from covid-19 for our young population. It would be most tragic if we have just one death from the vaccination of our youths which will be one death too many.

There is simply no long term data for the mRNA vaccines. Any scientist/medical professional/politician who claims the vaccines are safe are only making conjectures. Children and youths only suffer mild disease or are mostly asymptomatic when they contract the virus. There is no strong impetus to make them take an experimental vaccine except for self-serving reasons. There is not enough data collected over a time series so this should not be implemented hastily. Many credible Doctors, Scientists, Virologists, mNRA Vaccine Inventor have all already stepped out to speak up. Please kindly give a chance and listen to their presentations. These vaccines are still very new and their longterm effects are yet unknown and will take time to manifest. And the scary thing is one will only know the after effects after one has taken the vaccine and by that time, it will be too late. If any injury, disability and/or death happens to any child/children of any family, it cannot be reversed. It will not just affect the family's financial state but it will affect the child's/children's and the family's overall health and life and cause the utmost heartbreak too...It will be the most difficult for those who have no/ little insurance, no/ little savings, no / little earnings, they won't be able to afford any longterm medical treatments and follow up causing longterm physical, emotional and financial difficulties. I pray you will take into considerations. It is not as simple as you think just to poke a needle into the arm and that is the end....it is not like this at all ..

We know the percentage of side effects is 'rare', is 'low'. However as a parent, no matter how rare it is, there is still a risk. How do I convince myself to let my healthy children to take chances to see if they are the unlucky one? Please, let parents decide. Let us think about it, do not make it mandatory.

As a professional Counsellor I fully appreciate & subscribe to the ethical principle of “do no harm” in the care of my clients similar to the medical profession of the Hippocratic Oath. Therefore, I wholeheartedly support this petition. Prudence is of first importance not to put such massive numbers of youths in our schools & campuses to the real risk of harm for a new experimental injection. As a citizen who trusts the PAP government that has done so much for SG, I expect our capable ministers to have the foresight to protect our youths that represent the future of SG100 from unnecessary mRNA vaccine injuries & deaths. So please stop this vaccination of youths & children till more robust long term data on safety & effectiveness are established.

PMM: And so here's a question, somebody said 'have all your patients fully recovered? And and any cases of long COVID?'
SC: Okay. I need to divide my clientele up to answer that question. Every patient that presented in those first 7 days and was educated about the hypersensitivity reaction on 8th day and presented promptly for treatment which which is the majority of the patients that are treated, recovered timelessly and had no long-term consequences. I've never had a case of long COVID, neither have I had a case of Covid sequela coming back after a few months. I have not (patients) had diabetes, yes, I had patients who have had severe illness which took a while to settle. And they had some long injury due to that illness which presented and needed to be controlled there in after. But I have never had a patient fully recovered and come back with new symptoms.

PMM: Wow, so that is, that's tremendous, you know. And so this is, this is why I'm saying what you have been speaking here is so critical for the world to be able to hear because what you're doing is working whether or not people agree how you do it, at the end of the day as a clinician, I say, listen, if you make patients better, I don't care what you do as long as you make them better. And this is what you are doing. So, it then raises a question about what would your view be, after treating 4000 patients of which none have died, none have needed oxygen, would you vaccinate them?
SC: I'm in a unique position. None of my patients have died. None of them have had any long-term side effects from Covid, so I think a vaccine salesman will have some lofty goals to beat. Even one death or one side effect is one too many by my clientele. So, I would say that vaccination has its place, it might, if it, if instituted correctly, prevent us getting coronavirus, but as long as we have any deaths or side effects from the vaccine, I think my treatment has stood up to the test of time far better than the vaccine would.
PMM: And so, well, why is it that you are not getting more attention with regards to this work. What, what is, I mean, I'm thinking to myself, I, I was not, you were highlighted to me, you know, by someone else. Why is this work not getting the attention that it should?
SC: Uh, look, there but I think I, I would put it down, not my opinion. But I will put it down to the way medicine is taught around the world. There are countries where medicine is very regulated and people are taught to follow protocols and not to step outside the box. And so they got to wait patiently for governing bodies to set up protocols before they treat anyone. In India, we are taught to think outside the box and to try anything, uh, the paucity of testing and all the ancillary services that would give us direction to diagnosis are not available. So, we were taught to diagnose the patient on our clinical skills and only use further diagnostics tests to confirm our diagnosis or clarify it. Never testing to come to a diagnosis. I treat patients, not test results. So, uh, I've got, I, I've got to use my clinical skill to treat all these patients. And I think that plays a very big part in how we respond to our clientele. I think a lot of it as well comes down to arrogance and snobberry. Uh, it's difficult to convince someone of something when they are closed in the way that they are managed with people. A lot of patients made a comment to me, to say, you seem to have curtailed the mortality and the mobility that goes with coronavirus. But unfortunately, I might have impacted on the profitability as well. And I think that plays a part in people listening to what I have to say.
PMM : Oh, absolutely right.
