World religion is the story of man seeking after God. 世界宗教是人寻求上帝的故事。Shìjiè zōngjiào shì rén xúnqiú shàngdì de gùshì.
The Beatitudes is the story of God outreaching after man, bringing him to the place where he recognizes his bankruptcy, inability and total need for God and then taking that empty vessel and filling him so full that he overflows in blessing to others. 八福是关于上帝向人伸出援手的故事，把他带到一个地方，在那里他认识到自己的破产、无能和对上帝的完全需要，然后把那个空容器装满他，使他满溢祝福他人。Bā fú shì guānyú shàngdì xiàng rén shēn chū yuánshǒu de gùshì, bǎ tā dài dào yīgè dìfāng, zài nàlǐ tā rènshí dào zìjǐ de pòchǎn, wúnéng hé duì shàngdì de wánquán xūyào, ránhòu bǎ nàgè kōng róngqì zhuāng mǎn tā, shǐ tā mǎn yì zhùfú tārén.
If we would have a kingdom living that avoids legalism and drudgery, then we must start with emptiness and move to fullness, we must start with inability and weakness so that God's strength might be made perfect, we must start with our relationship with God and then being properly realigned move to our relationship with man, we must start with a changed character and only then be fit for right conduct. 如果我们要过一个国度生活，避免律法主义和苦差事，那么我们必须从空虚开始走向丰满，我们必须从无能和软弱开始，使神的力量得以成全，我们必须从我们与神的关系开始，然后 被适当地重新调整到我们与人的关系，我们必须从改变的性格开始，然后才适合正确的行为。Rúguǒ wǒmen yàoguò yīgè guódù shēnghuó, bìmiǎn lǜ fǎ zhǔyì hé kǔchāi shì, nàme wǒmen bìxū cóng kōngxū kāishǐ zǒuxiàng fēngmǎn, wǒmen bìxū cóng wúnéng hé ruǎnruò kāishǐ, shǐ shén de lì liáng déyǐ chéngquán, wǒmen bìxū cóng wǒmen yǔ shén de guānxì kāishǐ, ránhòu bèi shìdàng dì chóngxīn tiáozhěng dào wǒmen yǔ rén de guānxì, wǒmen bìxū cóng gǎibiàn dì xìnggé kāishǐ, ránhòu cái shìhé zhèngquè de xíngwéi.
How you start every day shows whether you are a legalist, a Sadducee, an Essene, or a zealot. 你每天如何开始表明你是一个律法主义者、撒都该人、爱色尼派还是狂热者。Nǐ měitiān rúhé kāishǐ biǎomíng nǐ shì yīgè lǜ fǎ zhǔyì zhě, sā dōu gāi rén, ài sè ní pài háishì kuángrè zhě.
What they all have in common is that they think they can do something without God's help. 他们的共同点是，他们认为自己可以在没有上帝帮助的情况下做一些事情。Tāmen de gòngtóng diǎn shì, tāmen rènwéi zìjǐ kěyǐ zài méiyǒu shàngdì bāngzhù de qíngkuàng xià zuò yīxiē shìqíng.
Do you start your day as an empty vessel in dependence upon God to fill you and give you grace to live that day to His glory? 你是否以一个空容器开始你的一天，依靠上帝来充满你并赐予你恩典，让你在那天过得荣耀祂？Nǐ shìfǒu yǐ yīgè kōng róngqì kāishǐ nǐ de yītiān, yīkào shàngdì lái chōngmǎn nǐ bìng cìyǔ nǐ ēndiǎn, ràng nǐ zài nèitiānguò dé róngyào tā?
Too many of us don't. 我们中有太多人没有。Wǒmen zhōng yǒu tài duō rén méiyǒu.
Why? Because we think we can do it on our own. 为什么？ 因为我们认为我们可以自己做。Wèishéme? Yīnwèi wǒmen rènwéi wǒmen kěyǐ zìjǐ zuò.
The beatitudes are a convincing testimony that we cannot do it on our own. 八福是一个令人信服的见证，证明我们无法靠自己做到。Bā fú shì yīgè lìng rén xìnfú de jiànzhèng, zhèngmíng wǒmen wúfǎ kào zìjǐ zuò dào.

Now it is true that the gate to happiness is misery. 现在，幸福之门确实是痛苦。 Xiànzài, xìngfú zhī mén quèshí shì tòngkǔ.
But if the gate to happiness is misery, and if the road of happiness is holiness, then the destination of happiness is fellowship with God. 但如果幸福之门是苦难，如果幸福之路是圣洁，那么幸福的终点就是与神相交。 Dàn rúguǒ xìngfú zhī mén shì kǔnàn, rúguǒ xìngfú zhī lù shì shèngjié, nàme xìngfú de zhōngdiǎn jiùshì yǔ shén xiàngjiāo.
All you have to do is look at the blessings that are listed in each of the beatitudes and you will see that kingdom living is intended to be rich and fulfilling. 你所要做的就是看看每一个八福中列出的祝福，你就会看到王国生活是为了丰富和充实。 Nǐ suǒyào zuò de jiùshì kàn kàn měi yīgè bā fú zhōng liè chū de zhùfú, nǐ jiù huì kàn dào wángguó shēnghuó shì wèile fēngfù hé chōngshí.
It is the best life. 这是最好的生活。 Zhè shì zuì hǎo de shēnghuó.
It is the most joyful life. 这是最快乐的生活。 Zhè shì zuì kuàilè de shēnghuó.
It is supposed to be a life that is enviable (as one translation of "blessed" puts it). 它应该是一种令人羡慕的生活（正如“有福”的一种翻译所说）。 Tā yīnggāi shì yī zhǒng lìng rén xiànmù de shēnghuó (zhèngrú “yǒufú” de yī zhǒng fānyì suǒ shuō).
So if you don't have a life that others will think is enviable, then it means that you still need to be pressing into the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 所以如果你没有别人认为令人羡慕的生活，那么这意味着你仍然需要努力进入上帝在基督耶稣里向上的呼召。 Suǒyǐ rúguǒ nǐ méiyǒu biérén rènwéi lìng rén xiànmù de shēnghuó, nàme zhè yìwèizhe nǐ réngrán xūyào nǔlì jìnrù shàngdì zài jīdū yēsū lǐ xiàngshàng de hū zhào.
