Salt Prevents Nausea:

I have always been a water drinker, and sometimes I've been made fun of for it, but I didn't always drink 8-10 glasses a day. When I was growing up, the other kids would drink pop almost every day, but I was allowed to only on occasion. Back in the late 50s I started caring for older folk that were to be on salt-free diets. Thinking it would be better for me, I went on one too. In November of 1993 I got your book Your Body's Many Cries for Water, and I started to drink at least 10 glasses of water a day. Your suggestion of drinking two(2) glasses at a time helps. A month later I was nauseated with emesis. Then I started to put one-quarter teaspoon of salt in the water each day, and I must say I noticed a great improvement in how I feel.


It has been over five years since I had a cold. Thank you for your efforts.

Thank you for your response. I am a Registered Nurse. I have been trained to think in terms of drugs for a long time. Drugs reps are frequent visitors and educators with CEU info. I have also for over ten(10) years had to take Zantac, Prilose, Prevacid, Maalox, and Gaviscon on a daily basis. I read your book ,ABC of Asthma, Allergies, and Lupus and have to admit I was very skeptical. However, the thing that intrigued me was that there couldn't possibly be any monetary reason to shift someone into a water regimen.

There is just no money in it. I also was getting a bit desperate, since, in spite of everything, the medication wasn't working. My doctor was talking of a surgery that would cut nerves in my stomach to reduce the acid production. I am not thrilled with this type of permanent mutilation. I decided to give water a try.

It has been nearly two weeks since I decided to give it a try. I have not had any drug since. As a bonus, my fall allergies have gone away. I am absolutely stunned. I also am sharing it with my patients. I also used to find it difficult to stick to a diet and have had a lot of trouble losing weight. Not any more. I have lost 5 pounds in 10 days and feel it much easier to say no to snacks. I just wish more people knew about this.

Age determine our arteries:

Think about that for a moment.

When we're young, our arteries are nice and flexible, without any blockage.
As we age, the arteries stiffen and become blocked by plaque deposits, both of which limit the flow of blood. Add to that, is the weakening of thirst signal in an aging body, and unintentional dehydration always happened to aged folks. Use water-cure protocol formula to reverse the dehydration effects.

Kids can play games and sports that get their hearts beating like crazy, forcing blood through soft, elastic arteries to the muscles that need more oxygen, all without risk. But if an adult overexerts himself/herself or experiences extreme stress, the blocked and hardened arteries can't get oxygenated blood through to the muscles of the heart or to the brain. And sometimes plaques ruptures, spilling its contents into the bloodstream where a clot forms.

Small clots can travel through even narrowed arteries, but large clots can get stuck, stopping the blood flow. The result is a heart attack or a "brain attack" - that is, a stroke.

Here's how we tie these seemingly unrelated concepts together. Over the course of a lifetime, the endothelium, the lining of the artery, is subjected to a series of tiny injuries that cause damage.

Innocently enough, the human body tries to heal itself, to repair those little rips in the endothelium. It does so by bringing in blood cells, Low-Density-Lipids(LDL), and muscles cells to form a kind of seal. It is the misunderstanding of the mainstream of the function of LDL, and named it 'bad cholesterol' which started the drug-abused industry going today. In reality, there is nothing bad about LDL, but it is there to do its designed functions to repaired damaged cells. And water shortage in daily basis will also cause cellular damaged,hence the increase of LDL found in the blood test.

Over a period of time that seal grows larger and larger and the plaque inside the walls of the artery bulges outward into the lumen, slowing the flow of the blood. At the same time, as we age, our arteries stiffen and are no longer capable of stretching like new rubber bands to expand and allow extra blood flow when needed. Blood pressure gradually increases, sometimes to the point of hypertension.

Remember that all cells need daily re servicing, and water is the main ingredient. During dehydration stage, the body will not be able to use its normal pressure of diffusion to re service them , and hence, automatically kick in the hypertension phase in order to re service the cells. And we call this phenomenal, high blood pressure. All just because we choose not to drink sufficient water daily. Sad, but many of us are suffering needlessly under the present ignorant health care institutions. We are getting a better look at the picture of cardiovascular disease than we've ever had before.

In the late 1980s, researchers stumbled upon one puzzle piece in the picture of a healthy endothelium. They realized that the endothelium itself released some sort of substance that promoted compliance, the medical word for elasticity and flexibility, of the artery. Whatever it was, it was released, performed its action, and disappeared in a fraction of a second. trying to identify that mysterious substance was like grabbing a handful of smoke. The Smoking Gun. Even before identifying it, though, investigators began to study the manner in which it kept the artery healthy.
Rather than referring to it as "it," they came up with the term EDRF, standing for endothelium-derived relaxation factor. EDRF was discovered to be a gas, nitric oxide (NO). This discovery earned 3 doctors the Nobel Prize in medicine in 1998.

Motivation & Commitment

are the two most important ingredients which can only be found in your own heart and soul, to take the High Pressure off your heart, in order to live a joyful and strong life . Your loved family members or close friends are and will be your motivation and the source of your continued commitment through the years, from hence forth and onwards.

Wow! you never expected to live healthily strong this long? You can, everyone can, and all the ingredients for that simple healthy longevity are found in your own heart's motivation and commitment.

But now I've gotten greedy!
Life has never been better or sweeter. I love my dear wife, and we're looking forward to growing older with wisdom together and enjoying some of the rewards of decades of hard work, such as travel, and savouring the simple joys of reading books, watching sunsets, and marveling at the beauty of a flower or a bird or a mountain. We went to Nepal. Our son still like to ask advice on personal matters. And I want to be around for the day when my first grandchild is born and I get to hold that cute baby in my arms, to witness again all those wonderful stages of childhood, and dole out the love I have in my heart. Lord God, how I wish my daddy had that chance. sadly he did not, but I do. The realization for those hope and dreams in the future, sharing life with my wonderful family, remain my motivation and commitment.
But enough about me!
How about you? Honorable and respected reader, what are the reasons for your motivation and commitment to health? What are your reasons for taking the pressure off your heart by lowering your hype-high blood pressure? What will inspire you to take that brisk walk outdoor when you rather sit in front the computer/ watch senseless TV movies? To make food choices based on other than taste alone? Being in my 69th year, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diverticulitis have for years spurred me to be more thoughtful of diet, exercise,and what I permit my thinking to include. My father passed away on December 5, 1969, from a massive heart attack. Hypertension was one of the major factors contributing to the disease that claimed his life and took him away from us forever. Testimony: Thank you for your book Your Body's Many Cries for Water. It was recommended to my husband and me ,so my husband bought it and after a brief look at it, decided it wasn't what we needed. He was about to return it, but I felt God wanted us to read it. I'm so glad we kept it.

I am very ill with lupus (SLE). How do I began to thank you for saving my mother's life? Had we not spoken on the phone and had you not expanded on the data in your book, I firmly believe my mother would be dead. When her sodium was 108 (140 is normal) your directions brought her up to 127, in effect rescuing her from the edge of death. DIETARY RECOMMENDATIONS

FOR LIVER AILMENTS

When the human liver is under any kind of stress/distress, and especially during specific liver disease, such as cirrhosis or hepatitis, it is IMPORTANT to watch the diet closely. Always pay close attention to the amount of water intake, daily, use the water-cure protocol formula found in this blog. Without water or water deficiency, the liver will not be able to metabolize fat and toxin into water solubles to be excreted from the human body. Too much oil and fat, especially when processed or cooked, is hard on the human liver. The best oil is olive oil - avoid margarine and animal fat.

Red meat is also hard on the human liver, as are drugs of any sort, alcohol, and cigarette smoking.
Avoid processed foods in general, and focus instead on whole, fresh vegetable (lightly steamed), whole grains, and slightly sprouted, cooked legumes (such as aduki beans). condition in which the abdomen becomes water-logged from inside and build up "an ocean" around the organs in the abdominal cavity.

Testimony: A couple of years ago I read your book Your Body's Many Cries for Water and I wrote to you asking how I could drink so much water and not swell up? ( I explained to you about my liver disorder of cavernous transformation of the portal vein with portal hypertension and my trouble with ascites and swelling of my abdomen from time to time.) You responded personally and told me how to drink the water and avoid this problem. I am happy to report that to my surprise my body did get acclimated to the extra water and it now swells up when I don;t drink it. I just wanted to let you know you were correct and I later came across maladies in the book Honey, Mud, Maggots and Other Medical Marvels by Robert Root-Bernstein.

Note: Ascites is a condition in which the abdomen becomes water-logged from inside and build up "an ocean" around the organs in the abdominal cavity. You hear it splashing when the body moves. It occurs with severe liver damage from liver infections, alcoholic fibrosis of the liver, or secondary growths of cancer in its terminal stages. It is my opinion that ascites could also occur with severe edema of dehydration, when the human body is in overdrive to retain water for use in its reverse-osmosis program of filtering and injecting load-free water into vital cells. Drinking clear and clean water by itself will always siphon out stagnant edema, which is water that contains much dissolved materials and toxins.

Bee Sting :

I am a seventy-six-year (76) retired teacher and former combat marine (World War2 & Korea). Our gated community has swimming pool and spa near our residence. W use them almost daily.

A year ago, while climbing out of the pool, I grasped the rail to help myself climb up the stairs. I felt a sharp pain in the palm of my hand and immediately recognised a bee falling off my hand. (When I was a child I had an allergy regarding bee stings but had not been bothered by the problem for many years.) Soon. my hand began to swell and the pain increased severely. I recalled a comment I heard an M.D. make on a recent TV program about the necessity to drink lots of water in order to flood the system and wash toxins out of the body. I quickly determined to so-operate with my own need. I left the pool area and headed for home.

At home I chug-a-lugged a 12-ounce glass of water. Every 15 minutes I chug-a-lugged another full glass of water. An hour and a half later I had drunk six 12-ounce glasses of water - and at that times the pain ceased suddenly and the swelling went down. It is a lesson I will never ever forget.

Now, I drink five or six glasses of water a day - whether I have a problem or not. can water be patented? HA!

How water cured my OBESITY:

I had a very good friend who pushed me nightly for three months straight to go with him to the gym and eat the right foods at the right times. Most importantly drink a lot of water. I mean a lot of water. I hated water, but I knew if I really wanted to lose weight I needed to do the right thing and stop playing games. At this time for the first time in my life I was confident about myself and knew I had it in me to lose any amount of weight I needed to. I met a wonderful woman at about the same time I began my journey to become healthy and hopefully thin.

My friend pushed me harder and was always there for me not to give up. I made up my mind to give up all liquids besides water and and a popular diet drink. It helped me a lot. I would wake up every morning and have a diet drink and drink a 24 oz glass of water. I would drink three(3) more 24 oz glasses of water before lunch, have another diet drink and continue with my regimen of water until dinner. I would drink a 24 oz glass of water leading up to dinner to help me feel full and not want to eat as much.

I became very drastic with my eating habits and food. I would never eat past six o'clock at night and again only water to help me feel full. Let me tell you I went to the bathroom all the time. I gave up all breads, pasta, and potatoes, everything that had carbohydrate in it. Most importantly I gave up all soda, even diet decaffeinated. My carbohydrate intake was about twenty(20) grams a day and my saturated fat intake was about two to three grams a day. I know you're saying that your body needs fat to survive. You are absolutely right. I was prepared during my weigh loss in what is healthy and what isn't while dieting. I read and read multiple books on vitamins and supplements to make sure I wasn't depriving my body of what it needed. I also saw a doctor regularly. I began taking daily essential fatty acids in pill form along with a multi-vitamin, a vitamin B complex 150, calcium, vitamin C and a sublingual vitamin B12. All of which I learned help with energy metabolism and the breakdown of stored fat, carbohydrates and sugar.

A great person, and now great friend, who owned a local fitness store, broke it down for me honestly and helped me with my supplement regiment. My nightly cardiovascular and weight routine began to get easier as I began losing weight fast. I was almost losing a pound of weight a day. people were getting worried but I remained true to eating the right foods and drinking the huge amounts of water. My doctor continued to monitor me and was not too concerned with my rapid weight loss. My blood pressure was getting better along with my resting heart rate lowering and, thank God, no problems with sugar diabetes.

I guess you are wondering what I was eating. Well, i was eating large amounts of canned tuna and canned chicken. protein, protein and protein, as much as I could get, lots of salad with no dressing, turkey burgers, vegetable burgers and again lots and lots of chicken and tuna. Yes, i was sick of eating the same thing all the time. However, I kept reminding myself the diet and exercise was working and I was losing weight. I encouraged myself to believe that pasta, pizza, soda, cheese-burgers and other junk weren't more important to me than my life. Oh yes, let me tell you of the wonderful woman I mentioned briefly earlier on. I continued to see her and her two beautiful boys. This was more motivation to continue than anything anyone could imagine. I was in love and most importantly someone was in love with me. Yes, she fell in love with the fat me, which makes her even more special to me.

As the months went on, I continued ever diligently on my exercise and water regimen. I never felt sick and I never again had any problems with the veins in my legs. People were beginning to notice the change that was occurring. it was getting drastic. My waistline was falling along with my shirt size. In case you forgot I weighed 525 lbs. At the end of the first year of my dieting, January 21st 2002, I weighed 250 lbs.

I lost 275 lbs working very hard with friends and on my own. My current weight today, as of the New year 2003, is 225 lbs. I found that this is a very good weight for me. I have put on good muscle and shrunk down to a large shirt and a 38 waist comfortably. I do have a lot of skin, but hope to eventually get surgery to have it removed. A lot of skin from a lot of fat is a good trade off to me.

Keeping the weight off is easy to me now that I have tons of energy, can get around and running on the treadmill up to three miles at a time surely helps a lot. Yes, I currently eat all the foods I used to eat.
It's all about one word, moderation.
Never ever again I will drink soda. Water ... Water....Water...(Ok, diet green tea and diet drinks.)
Is all the weight loss real to me? I still don't believe it sometimes. When I look into a mirror, there are times I don't believe it's me.

The first real time I knew I was actually thin and not fat is when I walked in front of a group pf little kids going to school. None of them stared at me, or laughed, or made a fat comment. I had just passed the little kids' test. During my years of being fat I knew that kids were the toughest and most honest.

My life today is everything I had dreamed about. Well, it's no longer a dream. I have married the woman I spoke about and became a father to her two wonderful boys. Today, we live a beautiful life in a beautiful home with a very happy and healthy life. if there is anything I can say to help anyone who reads this story : it is to never give up. Dreams can be reality. Follow good advice and do it for you. There is a famous quote that i kept in y wallet through my dieting and it still remains there today. martin Luther King stated, "We must accept finite difficulties, but we must never lose infinite hope."

Naturally, the quality of drinking water is most important to health. Water should be water and not just any drink. Asthmatics should observe this instruction to the letter. Water should be free of chemicals, particularly caffeine and alcohol. Please bear in mind that caffeine and alcohol are toxic chemicals addictive drugs as far as the cells of the human body are concerned. It is true that the manufacturers of these agents have unrestricted permission to contaminate good drinking water with these toxic chemicals and to sell them to the public, but, sooner or later, their detrimental impact on society will also become the focus of attention like the tobacco industry presently is.

It is my sincere belief that many of our society's problems of ill health can be blamed on the marketing tactics and unceasing pushes of the beverage industry. They tend to cultivate the palates of younger people toward the selection and use of their products in preference to the water that young bodies need to develop naturally and normally. Once teenagers - the target of the industry became addicted to caffeine, the industry has converted them to cash machines for the rest of their shortened lives! The unfortunate outcome of addiction to caffeine is the 'Upgraded' effect that forces some children to experiment with harder drugs.

Caffeine is a natural diuretic. It forces more water out of the body than is contained in the caffeinated beverage. Caffeine also acts directly on the brain cells and forces them to use some of their critical energy reserves on trivial actions and whims. It lowers the threshold for triggering an action from cells that would otherwise remain quiet until a more serious engagement is deemed necessary. The effect of caffeine on the brain is energy depletion. Caffeine, if taken repeatedly, eventually exhausts the brain. When the brain needs energy reserves to cope with a crisis, it will be far less effective because it is energy-depleted and depressed. The energy-reserve-depleting effect of caffeine on the brain is one of the primary causes of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).

Caffeine has another detrimental effect on the brain that should be considered as the second main impact that pushes the brain in the direction of reaching an ADD status. The brain maintains its energy reserves to use for new confrontations, experiences, dangers, and exciting, fresh ideas. This is how it learns selectively and from new experiences. Caffeine not only depletes the stored energy pools in the brain, it also inhibits the enzyme system initiated by PD (phospho-diesterase). PD activity is a vital step in "memory making" by the brain cells.



All seeds that are designed to create the next generation of a plant contain in their covering shell one or other chemical to deter food scavengers, such as ants and beetles, from eating the protein-rich seeds before they sprout. If this were not so, these plants would become extinct. Legumes such as lentils, peas and green beans possess a chemical called CCK (chol-e-cysto-kinin), a digestive enzyme inhibitor that causes a form of indigestion in the systems of critters that eat the seeds. It causes gas formation in humans who eat lentils without soaking them well and discarding the skin, or boiling them briefly first, washing them well, and then boiling them a second time until cooked. This is the way to "de-gas" legumes that would normally produce indigestion. Get rid of the CCK.



Caffeine is naturally designed to produce stupefaction of the brain. Caffeine is used by a number of plants as a nerve warfare chemical against their predators. The coffee plant produces caffeine in its seeds to defend itself. Caffeine inhibits the nervous system and the memory mechanisms in its "food-chain" predators in such a way that they lose their "wit" and their art of camouflage. They become less alert and less reactive, and thus less able to protect themselves. They become much easier prey for their predators.



This is why the coffee plant is plagued by fewer bugs than most other plants during its growth period. Bugs know better than to eat it. But we humans take the caffeine-containing coffee beans, brew them to our desired concentration, and consume the plants chemical poison as a pleasure-inducing beverage. High soda consumption, in my opinion, is the reason so many kids in American school have reading and learning problems. Despite all the money that is spent on their education, their average standard is far below children in less- privileged societies, whose access to caffeine-containing beverages is much more limited.

The beverage industry grows and thrives on the addictive properties of caffeine. A report published in the magazine, The Nation, April 27, 1998, states: "The most conservative estimates have children and teens guzzling more than sixty-four gallons of soda a year an amount that has tripled for teens since 1998, doubled for the 6-11 set and increased by a quarter for under-5 tots (from a 1994 survey by the Agriculture Department)."
This finding confirms what I published several years ago in my book, Your Body's Many Cries for Water, on pages 104-113. It is also interesting to note that the increased consumption of sodas by infants under five years is most probably why the rate of asthma occurrence in that age group tripled in the years between 1980 and 1994.



The beverage industry's recent name selection of new brands Surge, Zapped, Full Speed, Outburst, Josta, laced with caffeine and the pick-me-up herb guarana, that hypes 'raw primal power' is designed to attract children and teenagers to consume more and more sodas. The 12-oz cans of soda that contains high amounts of caffeine include Jolt with 72 mg., XTC with 70 mg., and Pepsi-Cola's Surge with 51 mg. And you get near double dose when you buy the 20-oz bottles.



At schools, the kids often take sodas in place of milk and the schools profit from the sale of these addictive beverages. They serve the regular 12-oz cans of soda, with Mountain Dew containing 55 mg. Of caffeine per can, Coke containing 45 mg., Sunkist with 40 mg., and Pepsi with 37 mg.



Grown-ups consume so much coffee that coffee bars are growing like mushrooms. It is said that a regular 12-oz cup of regular Starbucks coffee contains 190 mg. of caffeine.

In my professional opinion that caffeine by itself has all the detrimental effects on the brain cells to produce the type of brain physiology that dislocates the brain from stimuli received from outside. In addition, the dehydration caused by extensive caffeine intake produces different health problems, devastatingly and early. Among the symptoms are asthma and allergies. Thus, my protocol for the treatment of asthma excludes any form of caffeine-containing beverage until the body has recovered from caffeine's unhealthy side effects, particularly on the brain and its nervous system. After that, wisdom will have to take over.

I used water to cure OBESITY:

In November of 2000, I weighed 525 lbs. (2.2 lbs=1 kilogram)
Now, January of 2003, I weigh 225 lbs. Here is how I did it.

My story is simple. For thirty-two(32) years of my life I continued to eat all the wrong foods and drink every unhealthy drink imaginable. My life for 32 years was a happy one. I had lots of friends, good jobs and a wonderful, but sickly mother. I got around pretty well for someone of my size. I was active, playing sports and competing in karate, all such activities that would promote a healthy lifestyle or weight loss. I however ate everything that was bad for you in large amounts, at the wrong times and would follow it up by drinking liters of soda or alcohol.

I look back now and could honestly say without any reservation that there were times of up to a month that I would not have any water. water never tasted good for me, and as far as I could remember, it would always give me a stomachache. maybe it did. maybe it was psychological, because I really didn't need to drink water. I loved soda and could easily sit and drink to two(2)-liter bottle with one meal. One meal could be a large pizza with everything and chicken wings, 10:30 at night.
I could recall two to three times a week I would order from a local pizza place a large cheese steak with extra cheese and a meatball with extra cheese and eat both with a two-liter soda, again very late at night. The times I remember eating the most was when I was alone at night or just getting home from work late at night, not tired and would eat. Even at times when I wasn't really hungry. It became routine for me to do this regularly.

My mornings weren't the best either. I made daily stops to the local McDonald's on my way to work to order two to three breakfast sandwiches for one person and again my favorite soda. Looking back now I realized this routine went on for years to the point I couldn't say honestly when I started this massive destruction of my body. It didn't help to have a few friends who were also big people, another word for obese, who ate a lot. My friends and i would regularly hit every buffet in the city. It got to the point where we were recognized and our names called out like Norm on "Cheers." Not something to be proud of. earlier on I stated I was a very happy person and had many wonderful friends. However I was very lonely, I had no one to share myself with.

Just about all my friends were married, in love and had beautiful companions to come home to. Everything I always wanted for myself but was not realistic at my size. Losing weight was not believable to me. My mother was very ill, in and out of the hospital multiple times with lung disease. A few times she almost didn't make it. I was very scared and again found another excuse to eat and eat a lot. My mother did eventually get a little better and didn't need me there all the time.

In November of 2000, at the age of thirty, I started seriously considering stomach stapling to help me lose weight, if I wanted to honestly live. At that weight the chances of living much longer wouldn't be too good. I was feeling the stress of my massive weight on all my joints was getting ill more often and was hospitalized multiple times with deep vein thrombosis. I was very sacred and very alone. I knew it was time to get serious about losing weight or die. I guess you're wondering how much I weighed. I weighed a whopping 525 lbs. I wore a six-extra-large shirt and had a waist line of seventy-two(72) inches. On January 21st of 2001, I started my very long journey to a new life.

It Is Better to wet Your Pants than Live with Chronic Pain

I couldn't walk across the floor for a hundred dollars a step when I first got up in the morning. My left ankle that I injured hurt so bad that I would nearly pass out if I put weight on it. Then after hopping around on one foot for a while I was able to hobble through the day. The thing that made my injury even more distressing is that I am a pain specialist who had stopped the pain in more than 9000 patients and I couldn't help myself.

My regular morning runs that I had been doing faithfully for 26 years came to an end. The goal of running like my acquaintance Larry Lewis (who at 103 years of age ran six miles every morning before going to work) was now impossible.

I had my foot X-rayed. There were no fractures or broken bones. I tried my own treatments, Bioelectric and Auricular Therapy. It did nothing for the pain. I had orthotics made, had my ankle taped, did all of the exercises given to me by a podiatrist, injected my foot with vitamin B-6 and B-12, injected all of the trigger points with procaine. I took vitamins and minerals of all kinds, tried glucosamine sulfate, glucosamine hydrochloride, phenylalanine, blue-green algae, cod-liver oil, flaxseed oil and non-fat yogurt, pygnoginal, etc.

When all of the natural stuff failed , I tried aspirin, Tylenol and a number of non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs. Some of these made the pain a little more bearable but when I stopped taking them the pain came back with a vengeance. I was obviously just masking the pain and making myself vulnerable for further injury. For nine months I tried everything ever heard of for pain, short of narcotics. By now I was getting desperate. My goal and dream of running till I was 100 years old was now just that, only a dream. people were coming to me from all over the world to stop their pain and I couldn't help myself.

I read the book Your Body's Many Cries for Water by F.Batmanghelidj, M.D. that I highly recommend. I started drinking more water, or at least thought i was, but I wasn't consistent enough to help and my pain continued.

A patient of mine who was an engineer developed a water softener/purification system that used potassium chloride instead of sodium chloride. They came to our house to test the water and do a demonstration. The demonstration included filling a bowl full of water and showing how much chlorine was in it. I then was instructed to immerse my hand in the water, it was again again tested and the chlorine was all gone. I was told that the chlorine was absorbed by my hand and this is the reason I needed a whole house water conditioning system, not just the drinking water - because the chlorine which is a toxic poison would be absorbed into the body while taking a shower or a bath.

I told Dr.Remington with whom I work about the demonstration and he said, "Some of the chlorine may have been absorbed but most of it evaporated. That is why, you have to keep putting chlorine in a swimming pool, because it evaporates."
He then added, "If you want to solve the problem, let your drinking water sit overnight without a lid on it and all the chlorine will evaporate."

I started doing this and at the end of the day I could see how much water I did not drink. This routine reminded me to consistently drink more water. Lo and behold the painful foot that stopped me from running and crippled me for none months got better.

Now each morning I can again go running like I did before the injury. Through the experience, I learned as much about stopping pain as I did in a lifetime of study.
Dr Batmanghelidj is right, when we are in pain our bodies are "crying for water."
Besides having the pain in my foot go away, another interesting change came to my life, several times a day I have to run for the bathroom like a little child, something I haven't done for more than fifty years. One of these days I'm not going to make it, but it will be worth it.

I knew better. One of my father's favourite sayings was, "The extra water you drink when you take a pill does more good than the pill."

WHAT,THEN, are the diseases

that can be treated with success by using Chinese needle therapy, Chen-Chiu in clinical practice?

Someone faced with that question who has long been a physician practising Chen-Chiu would probably say that it is formulated rather clumsily. The reason for this is that it proceeds from typical Western notions.

In Chinese needle Chen-Chiu therapy, there is no concern with the elimination of established patterns of disease, but rather with regulating and normalizing the sick person as a whole.

The Chinese medicine medicine system is a means of stimulating and regulating the blood and ch'i, the patient's bio-plasma," or "vital energy," or whatever one would like to call it.

Consequently, adequate reservoirs of blood and ch'i in patients are an important prerequisite in curing them. At this point, then, it is better not to ask what illness can be cured by applying Chinese medicine, but rather what kind of patients have a chance of being cure by it.

'CORRECT WAY OF COOKING NOODLES'
The correct way to cook instant noodles without harming our bodies and health. `Normally, how we cook the instant noodles is to put the noodles
into a pot with water, throw in the powder and let it cook for around 3 minutes and then it's ready to eat.

This is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles.

By doing this, when we actually boil the ingredients in the powder, normally with MSG, it will change the molecular structures of the MSG
causing it to be toxic.

The other thing that you may or may not realize is that, the noodles are coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days for the body to
excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles.

CORRECT METHOD :

1. boil the noodles in a pot with water.
2. once the noodles is cooked, take out the noodles, and throw away the water which contains wax.
3.. boil another pot of water till boiling and put the noodles into the hot boiling water and then shut the fire.
4. only at this stage when the fire is off, and while the water is very hot, put the ingredient with the powder into the water, to make noodle
soup.
5. however, if you need dry noodles, take out the noodles and add the ingredient with the powder and toss it to get dry noodles.

Dietician's Note: If you buy plain Hakka noodles which you make initially need to boil in water and discard the water. This will soften
the noodles but to prevent it from sticking we need to add a tbsp of oil and also the noodles are deep fried partially to make it crunchy and
then dusted with flour to prevent it from sticking while boiling. Hence when you buy the noodles they are already made unhealthy and this
is the type we use to make stir fry noodles and the regular Maggi too is made the same way plus they add MSG/ ajinomoto and other chemical
preservatives.



A large number of patient with the ages ranging from 18-24 years are ending up with pancreatitis either as a swelling or infection of the
pancreas due to regular consumption of instant noodles..... If the frequency is more than 3 times a week, then it is very hazardous...

Being is

The present state of medical science had been reassessed, and on this basis the present healthy Wealth blog can initiate public discussion. No. 1 Cancer Killer in Singapore !

SINGAPORE: Colon cancer, the No. 1 cancer killer in Singapore, used to affect those over 50 years old, but doctors are reporting an increasing trend of younger people diagnosed with the disease.


26—year—old Alan Jeff Lim started to experience problematic bowel movements last April. It wasn’t till three months later that doctors figured out what was wrong.

"They initially ruled out cancer because of my age. I just went for a lot of tests like urine, stool and blood tests," said Lim.

An endoscopy finally revealed that he had Stage 4 colorectal cancer and needed to have his entire colon removed.

Lim, who is recovering well, is not alone. Doctors estimate that one in every 20 patients who suffer from colon cancer is below the age of 40.

Dr Ang Peng Tiam, medical director, Parkway Cancer Centre, said: "We understand that colon cancer is related to diet. In the more affluent countries where there is a higher fat and meat content, and low fibre content, these groups of people are more prone to developing colorectal cancer.

"It is difficult to understand why the young are also getting it. We seem to see a higher number of younger individuals with colorectal cancer."

Doctors said the lack of exercise and stress, which lowers the immune system, could be contributing factors. Warning signs include blood in stools or a change in bowel habits.

Every year, about 1,400 Singaporeans are diagnosed with colon cancer, making it the most common cancer here. To encourage more to come forward for early detection, the Singapore Cancer Society is offering free screening tests to 30,000 people.

Similarly, the Parkway Cancer Centre plans to give out free test kits and screen about 1,000 people at Raffles Place next week. Based on the response, it will then determine the number of kits to give out at Singapore Post Centre and VivoCity.

Doctors generally recommend that those above 50 years old should go for regular screening as they are in the high—risk group.

Human body asking for

RAW or LIVING foods to sustain itself, but alas, our civilization has deviate far from the first principle.

Raw or living foods are those that have not been exposed to temperature above 105 degree Fahrenheit, thus maintaining their natural enzymatic and nutritional properties. These two factors in natural foods are very sensitive to heat. And it is by chemistry reaction that the human body process the digestion and assimilation and excretion.

Raw fresh foods always come with raw water.

Organic food is, in general, food that is grown in the wilderness without the use or application of artificial pesticides (derivatives from petroleum-base), herbicides, and genetically modified organism (GMOs).

Why do you eat raw foods?
Because I choose to eat only uncooked vegetables, herbs, fruit, nuts, and seeds. Because that's one sure way to grow healthy and wealthy together.

I had always loved to eat watermelon, but experiencing the depth of the flovaour was now almost a moving experience; it was unbelievable that something could taste so good. In general , one's life here is an interplay between the spirit, mind and body.
These three elements need the right kind and amount of 'food', daily.

When you change your diet, you really become a different person, and your world seems to become a different place. Synchronicities begin to happen more and more often, which may be a sign from the universe that you are on the right path, often, which take a while to be comfortable and desire to stay in.

Animals will begin to interact with you in a different way, as they are no longer afraid that you may eat them. Your outlook on the day - not to mention the state of the world and society - will shift. You may find yourself being drawn to an orange or yellow shirt, even though you have always hated those colors. Your choice for color will steadily include the full spectrum of the light.

Your body is your temple. Once your temple is clean and pure, there is space for divinity, insight, and virtue to reside. Rejoice! A temple-body so full/filled of waste is unreceptive to the subtleties of the human body's divine wisdom, and is therefore unreceptive to the subtleties of existence itself.

Cleanliness internally is next to godliness, and the control of one's appetite is a true hallmark of enlightenment and immortality. Metamorphosis from glory to glory!

The way that you deal with your family, friends, and colleagues will also evolve. You may find that you are becoming more compassionate, thoughtful, considerate, understanding, and empathetic. Others will notice these changes in you as well.

You can clear the mental fog that poor eating habits create and think much more clearly. the fatigue and lethargy caused by a poor diet is replaced with energy and vigour.

Your temperament may change for the better. If you have been timid, you may find and begin to take more risks. if you have been reckless, you may recognize the value of this wonderful existence and slow down a little.

The raw food that I ate as a kid was modest at best. Fruit consisted of the occasional spotted banana, a fistful of green grapes, or a soft apple. Even carrot and celery sticks were really just a vehicle for ranch dressing. Like most families, we also had our share of meat, cheese, bread, milk,cookies, cereal, and potato chips.

Looking back, it's hard for me to believe that was my lifestyle. I have since discovered these foods are quite difficult to digest, contribute little nutritionally, and are even linked to diseases plaguing modern society.

These days I am more likely to be eating a creamy cherimoya, or a little yellow honey mango, or a perfectly ripe peach.

It all started one July morning. I was driving home after the night shift at a factory where I molded plastic parts for automobiles. I tuned the radio on my '82 Cutlass Supreme to the Howard Stern show, as I usually did. The first thing I heard was a guest on the show describing the harmful effects of cooked food on one's sexual health.

My ears perked up! It made sense, too. eat heavy, highly processed foods that hamper circulation and blood flow, and soon you're not half the man(or woman) you used to be.

BASIC CONSIDERATIONS:

ORDER IN THE HUMAN ORGANISM

In true medicine, a principle of order similar to that for the body also applies to the mental and spiritual functions.

There are four(4) basic qualities that are material as well as spiritual :

essence (ching),

the mental-spiritual (shen),

the pure soul(hun),

and the bodily soul (p'o).

Universal medicine regards the five treasury organs as the seat of body essence (ching), the mind (shen), the pure soul (hun), the body soul (p'o) and at the same time the storage for blood and ch'i.

Added to this, these inner organs guarantee the free movement of all parts of the human body.

The function of the six hollow organs, on the other hand, concerns the intake and digestion of food as well as the transport of fluids through the human body.

The founders of a systematic, Occidental method of healing took the six rules of "dietetics" into their medical program, which until the 19th century remained valid :
1.) light and air;
2.) work and rest;
3.) sleeping and waking;
4.) food and drink;
5.) the removal of waste-products; and
6.) control of the passions.

Only when they were not able to reestablish order within the organism by referring to these six(6) simple conditions for healthy life did doctors in the West/Western medicine trained resort to drastic measures such as the prescription of medicines/drugs or surgery.

Read: Blood, ch'i, ching (essence, the ability to reproduce) and shen (mental-spiritual) work together in the human body and mutually support one another.
They spread out together throughout the whole of the organism and maintain life and provide the basic elements for human existence.
The pathways of vessels have the task of allowing the blood and ch'i to flow within the body.
They nourish yin and yang,(male and female essence) keep the bones and the tendons supple and provide that the joints articulate properly.
The ch'i of resistance (wei) moistens the skin and keeps the muscles strong. Here is where the water-cure protocol plays the major role in human health.
In addition, it is responsible for the opening and closing of the skin's pores by which the skin remain elastic.
Human will (chih) and the power to imagine control the mind (shen) and the essence (ching).
Moreover, the will concentrates the pure soul (hun) and the body soul (p'o).
Will and imagination can adopt suitable measures so that the human organism does not suffer from the harmful affects of the weather.
As far as the body's interior is concerned, will and imagination can set up a balance between the friendly mood and rage or anger.
In the same way will and imagination can contribute to balancing blood and ch'i so that ch'i flow along the vessels of the meridians without hindrance and guarantees the elasticity of thebones and tendons.
Then the movements of the human being are light and full of vigor.

The health-care industry has been criticized profusely in the West; there are many demands for changes in medical care and health policy. Consequently, Western medicine has often attempted to play down the effects of Far Eastern Medicine and Needle Treatment and banish it to the realm of "nothing" to which, paradoxically speaking, it probably belongs.

Even today, the success of Chen-Chiu or that of "acupuncture" is regarded in official circles as either "imaginary" or "not provable" because it belongs to a dimension to which modern medicine has so far been blind. nevertheless, there is no doubt about the effectiveness of this dimension, as you,respected reader will discover.

In the future, the West may be obliged to acknowledge that mere material achievement does not constitute genuine progress. Perhaps, then, Western medicine and its trainees will begin to reexamine its standpoints. If, scientifically speaking, it is then to be taken seriously, it will have to summon enough courage to review its previous notions and results, assess them as an intermediate stage in the course of development, and reevaluate its position. In order to judge the true healing worth of Chen-Chiu, which has survived for thousands of years in Asia, it is not enough to apply the yardstick of recognized modern medical theory because that may soon be outdated.

Point to be noted: That the human being, viewed purely in terms of natural science, is such a complicated system that exact recognition of the body's interrelated functions after the patterns of atomic physics or molecular genetics is something which is quite inconceivable in today's world of natural science.

If this is true, then it follows that all attempts to turn medicine into a science have been failures when considered in the light of contemporary physics.

Chen-Chiu is based on a holistic method of healing.

The good doctor will always attend to his/her patient (the pronoun "his/her" denote ownership) before the disease has broken out. The good doctor will treat the patient with Chen-Chiu needles before the patient's ch'i (vital energy) has been too weakened by disease and the power of disruptive ch'i has become too great.
Only the bad doctor uses his/her treatment when the disruptive energy has reached its zenith, that is, when the illness has just reached its critical stage.

Each man/woman MUST first be responsible for his/her own health.

Just as the case today, a considerable number of Citizens/Netizens lived wrongly and were not sensible as far as health was concerned. Healthy Wealth is an ongoing mission in one's own life.

Rich people in high positions in general eat well and abundantly, are supercilious and proud, will not be told anything and do what they like. If one gives them rules of conduct, they will not obey them. If a good doctor gives them advice contrary to their desires, they will not follow it. Drink water in according to your personal body weight as a reference. But I prefer coffee, beer, beverages, coke, sodas, etc.
But if these people are allowed to do what they want their complaints grow worse. How can the good doctor solve such a problem and what methods should this good doctor use to assist such people?

Can We resolve The Debate:

ADULT VERSUS EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS

At the most basic level, the promise or presume-promise that stem cells hold is also the source of the controversy over them.

The idea that replacement parts/spare parts for our human bodies might one day be as easy to create as ordering prescription medication from the local drugstore is breathtaking(if one is still breathing by then). But if these same cells can only work their magic through the destruction of human embryos, then cure and curse will be one and the same to many people.

To those who see a human being's life as starting from the moment of fertilization, regenerative medicine via stem cells is nothing more than high-tech cannibalism.

Adult Stem Cells (ASCs) is an alternative, imperfect though it may be. Similar kinds of cells can be found outside the holy sphere of the human embryo's blastocyst. These "adult" stem cells can be found in the blood, the pockets of our bone marrow, the umbilical cord, under the dermis of the skin, and , just perhaps, buried deep in the brain.

Adult stem cells (ASCs) have their pros and cons. This technology of choice among those who morally object to the use of embryonic stem cells. Stem cells from bone marrow and umbilical cord blood are classic examples of ASCs.

"With the right policies and the right techniques, we can pursue scientific progress while still fulfilling our moral duties," said former US President Bush.
One question, but is this the case, or is it wishful thinking? As with many complex subjects, there is no clear-cut answer.

The right technique and right policy for mankind is just follow the nature law to exist, eat natural, drink natural water, breath natural fresh air along the nature park, grow and procreate naturally as we all know is right, without doubt.

The degree to which ASCs can be put to use often depends on who is being interviewed. However, if one sticks as closely as possible to what has been reliably reproduced in multiple laboratories over time, some hard facts do become available. That is, at least as "hard" as the facts can be, before the technology advances yet further and changes reality yet again.

Adult stem cells have something of a trade-off in their makeup. They simply do not have the pluripotent ability to morph into any kinds of cell. However, this one-track orientation allows them to be admirably well-suited building blocks for a limited nember of therapies. For example, blood-specific illnesses such as leukemia stand to benefit from the use of ADSs collected from bone marow !

A major limitation of ADCs that their boosters fail to mention is that being a full-grown cell, the biological markers of an individual have matured. This means that an ADC is more likely to cause a dangerous immune reaction if transplanted into another person. To avoid this, ADC transplants could only be carried out using a patient's own cells.

Until positive results are replicated in many other labs, it is difiicult to evaluate whether this can be done in a systematic way, today. Let's admit there is no hard answers yet.
The more conservative thing to say is that each human organ probably has a specific stem cell system behing it, and there probably isn't a lot of 'cross-talk' between them.

The research field is not as advanced as many outside the scientific community woulf think. the bottom line is that we haven't learned much from studying human stem cells. Most of what we know comes from studying mice, fish, and flies.

To that end, dult stem cells are harder to study in some ways. because they do not renew themselves indefinitely in thelab, as embryonic stem cells do, they must constantly be replenished if they are to be studied.

On the other hand, embryonic srem cells come with their own price tag in sweat and hard work, and scandals too. In order to keep renewing themselves indefinitely, constant feeding and attention must be performed, or the relatively fragile embryonic stem cells will either die off or twist themselves into a grotesque teratomatic growth in the petri dish.

The word tumor can be frightening to hear, but in medical terminology it simply refers to a swelling or lump of tissue.

Through popular usage, this term had been irrevocably linked in the public's mind to the malignant (cancerous) or benign (non-cancerous) growth of tissue.

We are interested here in a specific type of tumor that derives from pluripotent germ cells; it's known as a teratoma, which comes from Greek for "monster tumor."

Teratomas arise only in certain types of cellular tissue: the male testes or the female ovaries. Teratomas make up an incredibly small fraction of all tumors.

The majority are benign, and found in the female ovaries - perhaps remnants of eggs that failed to develop beyond a certain stage and so never were properly expelled into the fallopian tubes and onward.

A few are found in the male testes, where they can develop into fatal testicular cancer.
