Chapter 8: Number 7: "My Peace I Give to You" — The Unshakeable Peace the World Cannot Take Away
...the unshakable peace the world cannot take away.
When Jesus spoke of peace, he wasn't talking about the fragile kind.
The world offers peace that depends on circumstances, on good news, on predictable days, on everything working the way you hoped.
He was not speaking about a temporary sense of calm that fades the moment trouble shows up.
He was offering something deeper, something unbreakable, something the world has no power to destroy.
My peace I give to you.
His peace.
The peace that carried him through storms.
The peace that kept him steady when crowds hated him.
The peace that held him while he prayed in Gethsemane.
The peace that stayed with him even as he faced the cross.
A supernatural, divine, unshaken peace.
Jesus did not promise a life without storms.
He promised peace inside the storm.
He did not promise a path without pain.
He promised his presence in the pain.
He did not promise that everything would always make sense.
He promised peace even when nothing makes sense.
This peace is not earned.
It is not achieved.
It is not developed by human strength.
It is received.
Jesus gives his peace as a gift.
Not because you always feel strong.
Not because your faith is always perfect, but because he knows how fragile the human heart can be.
He knows how deeply fear can grip you.
He knows how easily life can shake your confidence.
So he places his peace inside you like an anchor.
Something that holds you steady when the waves rise higher than your comfort.
When life shifts without warning, when the future feels uncertain, this peace does not ignore your struggle.
It holds you through it.
It does not silence your emotions.
It steadies them.
It does not erase reality.
It transforms how you walk through it.
My peace l give to you.
That means you never face your battles without divine calm surrounding your soul.
You never walk into the unknown without the strength of heaven inside you.
You never stand alone when fear tries to take control.
There is a peace that belongs to Jesus and he chose to place it in you.
This peace stands firm when anxiety presses in.
This peace whispers truth when lies get loud.
This peace protects your mind, guards your heart, and steadies your spirit.
And then Jesus adds something so comforting, so personal that it feels like a warm hand on your shoulder.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
He is repeating the message from the beginning of the chapter 14 of John, reminding you that everything he promised, every word of comfort, every assurance, every truth was meant to give you peace.
Not a distant peace.
Not an occasional peace, but a daily living present peace.
A peace that circumstances cannot steal.
A peace that darkness cannot shake.
A peace that lives in you because he lives in you.
Wherever you are, whatever you are facing, whatever has left your spirit unsettled, Jesus offers you a peace stronger than the storm, deeper than the fear, and more enduring than the night.
His peace is yours.
Hold it close.
Let it steady you.
Let it breathe life into your tired heart.
Because when his peace fills your spirit, nothing in this world can break you.
Peace .
