What Is Five Point Touch Therapy or Psycho-Bio-Acupressure (PBA)

14+What Is Five Point Touch Therapy or Psycho-Bio-Acupressure (PBA)

In the beginning, I was inspired by a "five point acupuncture" technique, which is taught in Australia and in different parts of the world. In France, Doctor Patrick Veret was a precursor in this field. Rather than considering the energy of an isolated acupuncture point, the initial reasoning was to to stimulate five points at the same time, so as to produce a printed circuit on the human body. Derived from the original energy that circulates within the meridians, a specific energy would start flowing within the circuit. Each specific circuit ( constituted of five points) was seen to correspond to a particular issue.

I was taught this particular technique about eighteen years ago (i.e.,since 1995) , and I decided to use it in my practice. I learned certain circuits through Dr. Veret's writings and others from other sources. My purpose at that time was to use the circuits in order to deal with physical disorders such as hypertension, sinusitis, or sciatica.

Hypertension (HTN or HT), also known as high blood pressure (HBP), is a long term medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is persistently elevated.High blood pressure usually does not cause symptoms. Long term high blood pressure, however, is a major risk factor for coronary artery disease, stroke, heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, vision loss, and chronic kidney disease. Sinusitis or sinus infection is inflammation of the air cavities within the passages of the nose. Sciatica describes leg pain, numbness or weakness that starts in the low back and travels down the sciatic nerve in the leg causing sciatica pain.

However, the results I obtained were a bit surprising. My patients did not seem to draw any benefit from the circuits, at least not on the physical level. Unexpectedly , their psychological reactions proved unanimous: they reported feeling better, more relaxed, with their usual stress gone.

After giving this a lot of thought, I carefully experimented for a long time. Eventually I could not help but draw the unanticipated yet crystal-clear conclusion that those circuits produced an unknown psychological impact. Let me now try to explain it to you in simple terms and by using a comparison. Certain aspects of our human brain and of our human body (which depends on our brain) share similarities with a computer; if the computer is not connected to the right voltage, or if its battery is low, certain programs just stop working. The same happens with our human brain: as soon as it ceases to be correctly fed, certain "programs"stop working, making us unable to handle the situations at hand that come our way. This comparison with a computer is obviously just a useful metaphor ( for the human brain is not a moronic-machine, but is a very intelligent organism), but this metaphor makes the whole process easy to understand.

The energy that goes to our brain and feeds it originates in large part from our thoughts. Thought is pure energy: the full meaning of this concept as well as its implications is very important to understanding five point touch therapy or psycho-bio-acupressure. Thought is an energetic phenomenon and its impact is not to be underestimated. This is a concept made familiar by quantum physics.

Quantum physics is  the branch of physics concerned with quantum theory. "quantum physics allows for particles to be in two states at the same time". Quantum mechanics (QM; also known as quantum physics or quantum theory), including quantum field theory, is a branch of physics which is the fundamental theory of nature at small scales and low energy levels of atoms and subatomic particles.

Of course, we receive energies from our metabolism (hence the importance of trace elements), as well as from our cosmic and telluric environment. A telluric current (from Latin tellūs, "earth"), or Earth current, is an electric current which moves underground or through the sea. Telluric currents result from both natural causes and human activity, and the discrete currents interact in a complex pattern. However, the thought-induced energies are the ones that have a major impact on our human brain ( and are liable to disturb it), This is also an observable reality. Each of us experience a glimpse of this every day.

Just observing the way we feel when we are speaking with an angry person makes us aware that we are dealing with fields of energy: whatever efforts that person makes to conceal his strong feelings of anger, we just know it, we feel the energy that emanates from that angry person; that energy originates from his/her thoughts and radiates powerfully. However hard the angry person endeavors to appear collected, we pick up on that energy of anger. On the contrary, the energy of love coming from a person in love with you is warm, powerful, and beautiful.

Unsurprisingly, each time we charge our brain with negativity, our "voltage" decreases, and this is what makes us unable to cope with our challenges. The more we are charged with negative energies, the more we disturb the way we function, util we finally switch to different energetic systems, which can be systems of depression or panic. The particular incident that triggers our destructive emotion might be so unbearable that it makes us lose control or "blow our fuses," and this is how a "scar" is produced in our energetic system. Such "scars" have enduring effects on our future.

To come back to our comparison with electricity, let us just say that if a number of fuses, which have blown in your home, are not fixed, the small appliances that correspond tot hem fuses will just stop working.  This situation will last forever if nothing is done. This much is very clear. The same process occurs with our human brain. However, just as we can repair the electrical blown fuses in our homes, we have the possibility of restoring balance to our energies.

This is where five point touch therapy comes in. By stimulating certain specific Psycho-Bio-Acupressure(PBA) circuits, an energy antidote will start flowing ; in a matter of minutes, our energy will be restored; relief will be  instantaneous.

Application Technique.
Let's suppose, for example, that you want to stimulate point 4 of the circuit against depression.

Separate you left thumb from your left index finger. Place you right thumb right into the angle that has been produced. Press firmly. Slowly rotate clockwise till you hit a more sensitive zone: here is the acupressure point you want. Remember this special sensitivity: this is what you will be looking from when searching for any of the other acupressure points detailed in this blog.

Nonetheless, if you don't find this sensitive zone, do not worry
too much, as it is possible that this specific area does not feel particularly special on you. Just press your finger on the point as shown on the diagram and apply a firm pressure. You can't go wrong because the surface of your finger largely covers the area you want to target.

Don't forget that a firm pressure does not mean a painful one: press firmly, dig deep to make sure you find this special sensitivity; the elasticity of your skin allows you to do that. It is of the utmost important that, after you have pressed upon the five points and closed your eyes to mentally check on them, you still feel the pressure lingering in each of the five points: the five points have to remain activated together for a few seconds for the circuit to start working and become effective.

Also do not forget to remove your watch (because of the batteries) and to empty your pockets of items such as mobile phones, remote controls, and magnetic bracelets or necklaces, as these objects could interfere with the action of PBA.  In the same way, if you are working , doing PBA on somebody else, ensure that they remove all such items, too.

When you are working on someone else it is also important to mentally build a "mental shield", see the Fourth Golden Rule, to protect yourself against negative energies, and to wash your hands carefully once the session is over. It does not serve anyone if you become charged with energies that are not your own. Click here to learn Fourth Golden Rule for Retaining Energy Balance and continue learning.

2. EFT (Tapping) Intro by Gary Craig, EFT Founder. (Click Here to watch the video)

What you are about to see are real results with real people. They represent the possibilities if EFT is skillfully applied. Please consult qualified health practitioners regarding your use of EFT tapping.
Pain was in every these people for many years.
Celia Kane has chronic pain.
Hank Hadley has multiple sclerosis.
Pat Mason has 80 allergies.
and many, many more people with various kinds of pain and diseases....

EFT
A UNIVERSAL HEALING AID

" EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques,  Gary Craig, Founder- Emotional Freedom Techniques explains, and it's an emotional version of acupuncture except we don't use needles. Instead we address emotional issues. The emotional contributor to disease and ailment and physical things is far greater than the emphasis that's been given to it to date.

We all know intuitively that if we we're carrying angers and griefs and guilts and traumas, it shows up physically. If somebody is really angry, their stomach is tight, their veins stand out (look at the stiff neck), their blood pressure goes up. Emotions cause physical things. If you keep that in your body for a long time, now you are looking at diseases.

Dr. Eric B. Robins , M.D., UROLOGIST, says " In my case I got tired of giving medications which would just treat the symptoms and didn't address the underlying problem."

Gary Craig say, " EFT on the other hand zeroes right in on it . And I think that's why it works where nothing else will."

Dr. Eric B. Robins, " It's possible to clear emotional issues at a deep enough level that physical healing results."

Acupuncture works with the subtle energies that run throughout the human body in canals called meridians. If they do not flow well , the body's health doesn't do well. What I found was something very stunning. If we stimulate these meridians by tapping on them with our fingertips, it tends to balance things out and when people have an intense emotional issue, it would just fade. Sometimes it would happen in minutes.

Once you take care of these emotional issues, and doing it correctly and really resolving them, physical things starts to subside as well.

Colleen Barrett, Sales Rep - Nutraceuticals, says, " Immediately I could control my pain level. "

Susan Phillips, Management Consultant, says, " My migraine was gone in 10 minutes."

Robin Alexander, EFT Client, says, "I don't have diabetes anymore. I don't have to check my blood any more.  I gave my blood meter to my sister whose cat is diabetic due to overweight. Hahaha! "

What we've done is take a very ancient, very well established process, the ancient Chinese way of healing. We just dusted it off, and we've added an innovation or two, and this is the new forefront to me. We're on the ground floor of this new healing high rise.

Hank Hadley, EFT Client, testified, "When I was 10 years old, I fell down a 25 foot hay chute and I landed in a sitting position on a concrete landing, compressing my spine and i had my first back operation in 1971, the second in 1972, a third in 1979, a forth in 1984, a fifth one in 1992, and a sixth in 2002. With each surgery, the pain just got worse. I lived in pain my entire life. I lived on Tylenol with Codeine 4 , I took them like candy. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which was another devastating blow and my response to that was : God, how much can I take?
I was totally wheelchair bound for 5 years. EFT got me out of the wheelchair and put me on arm crutches which my doctor said would never happen. I went from arm crutches to giving up social disability and returning to work. I'm 54 and I'm doing jumping jacks now."

Gary Craig says, " I'm not saying by that we cure everything in a minute or two, or a session or two and so on and some things take a lot longer than others, but we get astonishing results often."

Dr. Patricia Felici, C.N. M.D.A., Doctor Of Clinical Nutrition, says," So, what we 're going to do today, is take a drop of blood at the finger tip , from a few different people and going to take a look at it under a dark film microscope. And actually look at what their live blood looks like. A person that's healthy, their live blood will look like a clean flowing river, and a sick person, their live blood will look clumping and just a murky swamp."

"Of those six people, three had a blood picture that looks like there was an health issues that should be addressed.  So, we had those three people go through about 5 minutes of EFT. "

Doing EFT Tapping with Gary Craig, "This Anger. All this resentment ..."

Dr. Patricia Felici continues, "We drew their blood again at their fingertips and looked at it. And saw totally different blood pictures. No sign of clumping. I was speechless. When I could finally think again, I thought I'm going to go home and take my certificates and my degrees that took me years to get, just tear them up and learn about this EFT. "
Talking to one of the three volunteers who did EFT tapping, "Normally as a nutritionist, I would have put you on 2 or 3 months of mineral supplementation but with EFT, 5 minutes. "

Dr. Eric B. Robins says,  "People on the outside see some of the things we do as miracles but I'm not a miracle worker at all, you know, it's just the body will heal itself if its energies are allowed to flow. The biggest or main thing that blocks the flow of energy is how  emotional issues and past traumas are held in the body."

USE EFT FOR EVERYTHING

"So, we're getting to the core. That's why you can use it (EFT) for everything."

Addiction issues, Shame issues, Vision issues, Chronic fatigue, Fear of flying, Atrial fibrillation, Cravings, Diabetes, Diverticulitis, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Abundance, Public Speaking, Insomnia, Performing In Any Capacity.
For the first time I can probably say, I truly and genuinely like myself, love myself, have acceptance.

"People ask me what kind of antidepressants I am on, and I say EFT, you know. (Laughter)." - Hank Hadley

Carol Look, LCSW, DCH, EFT Practitioner, says, "I do believe anything is possible now, because I have seen it."(LCSW)   (LCSW=The 'Licensed Clinical Social Worker'.Usually requiring a minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work.)(DCH=Diploma in Child Health, ) One that was really fun to do was the vision experiment I did. 75% had an improvement in their vision, after EFT Tapping.  I keep getting e-mails from people."By the way Carol, I'm not using my glasses to look at the piano music anymore."

"It's the best thing I've found, hands down." -- Dr. Eric B. Robins.

"One of the great things about EFT is that it's easy to learn by anyone." -- Gary Craig, Founder-EFT.

" I thought, I don't know if I believe this, but what if I just suspended my disbelief. " -- Colleen Barrett, Sales Rep - Nutraceuticals.

ACUPUNCTURE: ANCIENT THERAPEUTICS FOR STROKE

In China, there is less incidence of stroke than in Western countries, and greater recovery of function after a stroke. This is not because Chinese people are physically different from Americans, but because of differences in diet, lifestyle, and post-stroke treatment.

Chinese medicine theory recognizes four main pathological factors (agents) of stroke: Wind, Fire, Phlegm, and Stasis. There are also considered to be four leading contributing factors to stroke, related to lifestyle: emotional stress, overwork, poor diet, and excessive sexual activity.

Because there are a number of contributing factors to stroke, because these contributing factors tend to play out over a long period of time, and because the stroke itself can manifest in a number of ways, it can be difficult to assess the exact cause of a stroke. But remember that strokes don’t "just happen" for "no reason." Any of the following lifestyle factors, experienced over a period of years, could eventually result in a stroke: working long hours under stressful conditions without adequate rest; physical overwork, including excessive, strenuous sports activities; emotional strain; irregular eating habits; excessive consumption of fats, dairy products, greasy or fried foods, sugar, or alcohol; excessive sexual activity (what constitutes "excessive" sexual activity depends on the age and general physical condition of the individual).

The internal organs most likely to be weakened by these factors are the Kidney and the Spleen, causing deficiencies of Chi, Blood, and Yin. Deficiencies of Chi, Blood, or Yin permit the body to be overwhelmed by the pathological factors of Wind, Phlegm, Fire, and Stasis, resulting in such stroke-related patterns as Liver Yang Rising, Stasis of Chi or Blood, Phlegm combining with Fire, Liver Wind, or Wind in the Meridians.

Preventing Strokes.Obviously, the most effective way to prevent a stroke from occurring is to modify the lifestyle factors that lead to stroke. Physical work and exercise should be appropriate to a person’s age and physical condition, and should be accompanied by adequate rest. The same advice goes for sexual activity. It is important for everyone to learn to manage stress, especially people with a history of cardio-vascular problems. Relaxation, meditation, and gentle exercise like yoga or Tai Chi are proven ways of lowering blood pressure and stress-related chemicals in the body. Perhaps the most important factor is diet. The traditional Chinese diet is high in fiber and low in fat, sugar, and dairy products. It is seen over and over again around the world that populations who eat this type of diet have dramatically lower incidence of heart attack, stroke, and diabetes than populations who eat the typical modern Western diet.

A useful Chinese herb that can help to prevent stroke is ginkgo biloba (bai guo ye). This herb has become phenomenally popular in Europe, with twenty million people taking it regularly. Harvard University’s Dr. Elias Corey published his research on ginkgo in 1988 which shows that ginkgo stimulates cerebral circulation (blood flow in the brain). This can not only improve mental functioning, but can prevent blood cells from forming blood clots in the brain. Research indicates that ginkgo improves blood circulation, strengthens mental capacity, lowers plasma cholesterol concentrations, benefits Alzheimer’s patients, and can prevent stroke and heart attack. In order to achieve maximum effect, ginkgo should be taken in a therapeutic dose. Because there are no universal pharmacological standards applied to herbal preparations, concentrations of ginkgo may vary from company to company, so it is hard to say what a therapeutic dose is, but 1500 mgm a day would be reasonable for most individuals.

Treating Strokes.Chinese medicine distinguishes two general types of stroke: the most severe type attacks the internal organs as well as the energy pathways (meridians); the milder type attacks only the meridians. In treating the severe type, acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas are combined with Western drugs to relax spasm, subdue Wind, open the orifices, resolve Phlegm, and lower blood pressure. Patients with the milder type of stroke are treated primarily with acupuncture to open the meridians and promote Chi and Blood flow.

Acupuncture is the most popular treatment modality for stroke patients in China, used effectively on 85% of the stroke patients there. When Margaret Naeser, a neurology professor at Boston University School of Medicine, went to China in the 1980s, she was surprised to see that acupuncture treatments were considered to be the most important part of stroke rehabilitation at Chinese hospitals. She was even more impressed when she saw how effective such treatment was, and began to study acupuncture scientifically when she returned home. Since then, scientific evidence has been accumulating in the West. A controlled study conducted at the Lund University Hospital in Sweden provided several interesting findings. It found that a group of 38 patients who received acupuncture treatments twice a week for ten weeks reported significant improvements in the areas of walking, balance, emotions, quality of life, ease of daily activity, and mobility in comparison with a control group of 40 patients who did not receive acupuncture treatments. The Acupuncture Group spent fewer days in nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities than the Non-Acupuncture Group, with an average savings of $26,000 per patient. In the follow-up period, it was found that one year after suffering their stroke and receiving treatment, 89% of the patients in the Acupuncture Group were living at home vs. 66% of the patients in the Non-Acupuncture Group.

Scientific studies indicate that acupuncture can: facilitate nerve regeneration; decrease blood viscosity; prevent the aggregation of blood cells, dilate blood vessels by triggering the release of hormones; and help surviving nerve cells find new pathways, effectively by-passing damaged parts of the brain. Acupuncture has also been found to be helpful in the treatment of headache, dizziness and hypertension in stroke patients.

Every day, 1200 Americans suffer a stroke, and four hundred of them become permanently disabled. Stroke is the leading cause of disability and the third leading cause of death in the United States. It is no wonder that being disabled by a stroke is the chief fear of so many elderly Americans. According to a report from the National Institutes of Health in 1992, more than two million Americans suffer long-term disabilities from stroke, at a cost to our society of $25 billion each year.
