Elderly persons should begin the suggested program slowly; for example, start by taking 8 oz. of water with salt 2 times a day; one a.m. and one p.m. Then, after a couple of days, add another glass or two to your daily intake. Keep adding a glass to your daily intake until you are drinking half your weight in ounces as suggested at the top of this page.
