Have you ever wondered why so many Christians who genuinely love God still live ordinary lives?
They pray, but as though heaven is reluctant to answer.
They read the Bible, but as though its promises belong to extraordinary saints, not ordinary believers.
They confess that Jesus is Lord, yet spend most of their lives ruled by circumstances, emotions, fear, sickness, and lack.
How can someone possess eternal life and still live as though they're powerless?
Perhaps the greatest tragedy in Christianity today isn't that believers sin.
Sin gets forgiven every day.
It is that so many believers have never discovered who they actually became the moment they were born again.
Religion has spent centuries teaching believers what they must do for God, how to behave, how to qualify, how to earn a little more favor than they had yesterday.
The New Testament spends its pages revealing what God has already done in Christ.
Those are two completely different messages.
One produces servants constantly trying to qualify themselves.
The other produces sons and daughters of God discovering what already belongs to them.
Today we're going to examine one of the most revolutionary truths in the entire New Testament. And before we're done, I'm going to show you exactly how to awaken the supernatural abilities already living inside you.
Abilities most people never discover, let alone use.
Here is a statement that sounds almost unbelievable. "Through the new birth, mankind enters the same class of being as God."
The moment those words leave your lips, something in religious thinking pushes back.
Is that not pride? Is that not dangerous?
Those are honest questions. But before rejecting the statement, ask yourself another one.
What if your discomfort is not coming from scripture, but from traditions that have quietly shaped your thinking for years?
And that's exactly where we have to begin.
Not with church tradition, not with what you were told growing up. We begin where God began, Genesis.
Because you can't appreciate what redemption restored until you first understand what creation originally produced.
Before the fall, before guilt, before shame, before fear, there stood one man upon the earth, Adam.
And Adam was unlike anything creation had ever seen.
The fish 🐟 were created after their kind, the birds 🕊️ 🐦 after their kind, the cattle 🐄 after their kind. Then suddenly the pace of Genesis slows. God does not simply speak another creature into existence.
Instead, we hear divine deliberation.
"Let us make man in our image, after our likeness."
God never said that about angels. God never said that about cherubim. God never said that about the stars.
Only man. Because man was never intended to be just another creature living on the earth.
Mankind was created to be God's visible representative within creation.
Man is a created being capable of expressing God's thoughts, reflecting God's character, manifesting God's authority on the earth. Man is able to think with God.
Adam never questioned whether God loved him. He never wondered if he was accepted.
The very first face Adam ever saw was the face of his Creator.
He opened his eyes, he knows he is already loved, already accepted, already complete.
A lion produces lions.
An eagle produces eagles.
Everything reproduces after its own kind.
Then why do we imagine that when God imparts His own life through the new birth, He produces something ordinary?
So, the new birth is not merely forgiveness. It is not merely the cancellation of guilt.
It is the impartation of divine life. The miracle of God reproducing His own nature within what I called the recreated human spirit, the hidden man of the heart.
This is exactly why the enemy fights you true identity so fiercely. Because if he can keep you thinking like a mere man, you'll never function like a son of God a daughter of God.
If the devils can convince you that Christianity is only about surviving until heaven, you'll never discover the supernatural abilities already placed within your recreated spirit, right here and now. He knows something a lot of believers have simply forgotten.
Ability always follows identity.
You will never consistently act beyond who you believe yourself to be.
So the question we must now answer is this. If Adam was created with such extraordinary dignity, what exactly did he lose?
And did Jesus Christ merely restore what Adam lost? Or did He give us something even greater?
Stay with me because what we're about to uncover is the exact mechanism behind every supernatural ability.
Read on, you're about to learn how to walk in the actual source, not just a list of things to attempt.
Here is where much of today's Christianity misunderstands the story completely.
And it is a misunderstanding that shapes how entire generations of believers see themselves. They think the tragedy of the fall was simply that Adam sinned.
But sin was not the greatest loss. Sin was the consequence.
The real tragedy was that man lost the very life he was created to live.
That distinction matters more than it might sound like.
At first, Adam wasn't merely an innocent man living in a beautiful garden. He was God's representative on the earth, carrying the authority of heaven. He walked with God without fear. No guilt interrupting fellowship. No shame causing him to hide. Then Satan appeared. And notice something remarkable. Satan never began with murder. Satan never began with violence. He attacked one thing, Adam's identity.
Listen to the serpent's words. Ye shall be as gods. Do you see the deception?
Adam was already made in God's image. He already possessed fellowship with God.
Satan tempted Adam to pursue what he already possessed.
That strategy has never changed. The enemy still spends his greatest effort convincing believers today to chase what Christ has already given them. Praying for peace they already carry, begging for boldness they already possess.
The greatest deception was never believing too much about yourself. It is believing less than what God actually says about you. I am who God says I am now.
The moment Adam believed the lie, everything changed.
Not because God stopped loving Adam, but because the very Life that sustained fellowship was lost. Fear appeared for the first time. Adam says, I was afraid and I hid myself. Those words had never existed in human experience before that moment.
Every descendant of Adam inherited that condition. A spiritual death passed down long before anyone chose it for themselves.
That explains why institutional universities education can't solve humanity's deepest problem.
Because man's greatest need has never been information. It has always been regeneration.
That's why the coming of Jesus Christ was never God's emergency response.
Listen to His own words. I am come that they might have life. The Greek word life here is Zoe, not biological life. Every unbeliever already has that biological life. Jesus Christ here was speaking about the very Life of God Himself, Zoe.
Salvation is not merely God overlooking your sins. It is God sharing His own Life with you.
The same Life that raised Christ from the dead now living inside an ordinary person. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
That's why apostle Paul never described the believer as someone merely trying to improve. He said if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Not becoming. Is.
This is where this teaching becomes so powerful.
He continually emphasized that Christianity is not imitation. It is participation. Sharing in the Life, not copying a behavior.
God never asked you to imitate His Life using your own strength. He placed His Life inside your recreated spirit so that His Life could express Itself through you.
An apple tree does not struggle to produce apples. It produces according to its nature. Nobody stands over an apple tree coaching it toward better fruit.
Likewise, the believer's supernatural life does not begin with effort. It begins with identity.
You do not strain toward it.
You discover it is already there.
Religion says, "Try harder." God's Grace, that's Jesus Christ says, "Receive my life."
Religion focuses on behaviour. God begins with nature because when nature changes, behavior follows, not the other way around.
And once that revelation settles into your spirit, prayer changes, faith changes, worship changes, confidence changes.
Even the way you read Scripture changes because you stop reading it as an outsider looking in. You start reading it as a son, discovering his inheritance. A daughter of God likewise.
By the name of Lord Jesus Christ, Father, I decree over everyone reading and hearing this teaching that the lie Satan whispered to Adam is being exposed and broken in their thinking right now. I decree that they know, not merely believe, but know that they possess the very Zoey life of God in their recreated spirit. I decree that their identity is being settled today not by their past but by what Christ has already accomplished in the name of Jesus Christ.
Now we come to the heart of the gospel.
This is where Christianity separates itself from every other religion on earth.
Every religion attempts to improve man. The gospel of Jesus Christ recreates him.
Religion works on the outside in. The relationship with Jesus Christ works from the inside out. That is a difference you cannot afford to miss.
Jesus told Nicodemus, one of the most educated religious leaders in Israel, something that shattered his religious confidence, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Notice what Jesus did not say.
Jesus Christ did not say become more disciplined. Jesus Christ did not say pray longer. Jesus Christ did not say keep more commandments. He spoke about birth because birth changes nature.
Imagine trying to teach a fish how to fly. No amount of education will make that happen.
The problem is not information, it is nature.
You can't coach a creature into a different kind of life. You have to give it one.
That is exactly why Jesus Christ spoke about a new birth. He was introducing an entirely new order of humanity.
But the cross dealt with your sins. But the resurrection introduced a brand new creation.
Think about what happened the day you believed in Christ. Something happened inside your spirit.
The old spiritual nature died. A brand new creation came into existence. That's why apostle Paul does not say you became a better sinner. He says you became a new creation. Not repaired, not improved.
You became something the world had never seen before. New creation .
You're not simply Adam restored.
You're something greater.
Not a return to the garden, but an advance beyond it.
Adam possessed innocence. You possess redemption.
Adam walked with God. You have Christ living in you.
Adam knew God's presence around him. You carry God's presence within you.
That's why apostle Paul calls this mystery, Christ in you. The hope of glory.
Notice where Christ lives. Not beside you, not merely above you, in you.
The Creator of the universe has chosen the recreated human spirit, the hidden man, as His dwelling place.
That means the believer is no longer an ordinary person trying to contact heaven from a distance. He has become heaven's dwelling place on earth.
This is why apostle John writes, "As He is, so are we in this world."
Notice, "'Not as He was, not as He will be, but as He is." Present tense.
Romans 8:11 says, "If the spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.
The Spirit that conquered death.
The Spirit before whom demons tremble lives inside every believer. Not only apostles, not only ministers, every believer that changes everything.
Because ability is determined by the Life within.
An electric wire has no power by itself. Its ability comes from what flows through it.
Likewise, the believer's supernatural ability does not originate from human effort. It originates from the divine Life flowing through the hidden man.
Apostle Peter stands before a lame man and says, "Silver and gold have I none. But such as I have, give I thee." Such as I have.
Apostle Peter understood he possessed something. Not something external, something within. He didn't beg heaven to heal the man. He ministered from the Life already residing inside him.
Religion says, "I hope God will do something." The awakened believer says, "I know what God has already placed within me."
Notice apostle Peter didn't pause to wonder whether he was worthy enough, mature enough, or spiritual enough to minister to that man. He simply drew from what he already possessed. No hesitation, no qualification, just settled certainty about what was already resident within him.
This is the exact pattern the early church repeated again and again.
Fomer Fishermen, former tax collectors, former ordinary labourers with no political influence, no military power, no financial empire.
Yet within one generation, they shook the Roman world.
What changed? The Life of God entered ordinary men and ordinary men became supernatural men not because their circumstances improved but because their revelation did.
Now we arrive at the question that changes everything.
If the Life of God truly lives inside every believer, what exactly can that Life do?
Every kind of life carries its own abilities.
A bird flies in the air because of the life within it.
A fish swims in the water because of the life within it.
Ability always follows life. Nobody trains a fish to swim and nobody needs to train the recreated spirit to function according to its nature.
So if the very Life of God now resides in your recreated spirit, what abilities accompany that Life?
The New Testament presents the believer as a supernatural man living in a natural world.
Not because he's physically different, but because another life now operates within him.
Jesus Christ himself said, "The Son can do nothing of himself. The Father that dwelleth in me, He doeth the works. "
The works flowed from the Life within."
Apostle Paul later describes believers as being one spirit with the Lord.
Being one spirit with the Lord means that when a person is united with Him, they share a deep spiritual connection, becoming one in spirit. This concept is emphasized in 1 Corinthians 6:17, which states that "he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.
That's not symbolic language. That is spiritual reality.
This is why apostle Paul made a statement that still astonishes the body of Christ today.
It is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me. Read that slowly. Not I am trying to imitate Christ. Not I am attempting to be like Him. Christ lives in me.
Apostle Paul did not lose his personality. He became the vessel through which divine life could find expression.
¶ Here is the first supernatural ability. Knowing God personally. Before Jesus Christ came, men knew about God. After the new birth, they know Him, spirit to Spirit. Worship Him in spirit and truth.
This is why the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit, a supernatural ability the natural man cannot experience.
¶ The second supernatural ability is spiritual perception. The world depends entirely on the five physical senses.
The believer possesses another faculty, the recreated spirit. There are times your spirit knows something before your mind even understands it.
¶ The third supernatural ability is faith. Biblical faith is the natural response of the recreated spirit to the word of God. Just as a child recognizes the voice of his father, the recreated spirit recognizes the Word that gave it birth.
Romans 10:17, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ.
¶ The fourth supernatural ability is authority. Jesus Christ never instructed believers to fear the devil. Jesus gave them authority over the devil.
Authority is different from power.
A police officer may not possess the physical strength of every criminal he encounters. Yet the authority of the government stands behind him.
When you speak in the name of Jesus Christ, heaven recognizes that name. Hell recognizes that name.
¶ The fifth supernatural ability is love. Romans 5:5, the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
Notice whose love it is. God's love.
That means the believer has the supernatural ability to forgive when human strength says it's impossible.
¶ Finally, every believer possesses the supernatural ability to overcome. 1 John 5:4, "Whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world," not some believers.
Victory is not a reward for spiritual maturity.
Victory is the inheritance of divine life. Here and now. Not in future.
Notice something about all six of these supernatural abilities.
None of them require you to become someone different than who you already are.
They are not achievements you work toward. They are expressions of the Life already resident within you, waiting to be recognized and drawn upon.
Think about how differently you would face this week if these six supernatural abilities were not theological facts you merely agreed with, but settled realities you actually expected to operate through you.
Not someday, this week, in the conversation you're dreading, in the decision you've been putting off, in the fear that visits you at 3:00 am in the morning.
Through the name of Lord Jesus Christ now, Father, I decree over everyone reading and hearing this teaching that these six supernatural abilities, ¹knowing You, ²spiritual perception, ³faith, ⁴authority, ⁵love, and ⁶overcoming are being activated in their life today. I decree that revelation is producing confidence. Confidence is producing action and action is releasing the manifestation of your life through them, to the praise of Your glory, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Everything we've discussed so far is true of every believer. Not just pastors, not just apostles.
Every single person who has been born of God possesses the life of God.
The same life, the same abilities, the same standing. Then why don't we see it?
Why do so many believers still live defeated lives? Why do they approach God like beggars instead of sons and daughters of God?
The problem is not the absence of power. The problem is the absence of revelation.
Two very different diagnosis, and only one of them actually matches what's really going on.
You cannot consistently live above the level of your self-image.
You will always behave according to the person you believe yourself to be.
If a prince grows up believing he's a slave, he will live like a slave. He may possess the inheritance of a kingdom, yet he will continue begging for bread because his identity has been stolen.
Nothing changed about his inheritance, only his thinking. He still owns the palace. He still holds the title. He simply doesn't know it, so he lives entirely outside of it.
If a princess grows up believing she's a slave, she will live like a slave. She may possess the inheritance of a kingdom, yet she will continue begging for bread because her identity has been stolen. That's exactly what happens to many believers.
The new birth changed their spirit, but nobody taught them who they had become.
Their sins were forgiven, but their minds remained imprisoned by the old life, still thinking like beggars while sitting on an inheritance.
This is why apostle Paul writes, "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Notice he does not say, "Be transformed by receiving another spirit", that already happened.
The mind must now be renewed progressively, day by day, thought by thought, not in a single dramatic moment.
The greatest battlefield in your Christian life is not your circumstances, it is your mind.
Because your mind determines whether you'll agree with your five senses or with your recreated spirit.
Every morning, two voices compete for your attention.
One is the voice of the natural world. What your body feels, what your bank account says, what your emotions are shouting.
The other is the voice of God's Word. Who you are, what Christ accomplished, what now belongs to you.
Whichever voice you consistently agree with becomes your reality.
Not because agreement creates the truth, but because agreement determines which truth you actually live from.
Prophet Hosea records the Lord saying, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, not because God abandoned them, not because the enemy was too powerful. They lacked knowledge." Lack of revelation knowledge from the Word of God.
Imagine a man inheriting billions from his father. The money has legally become his, but no one informs him. He spends the rest of his life struggling to survive, working jobs he hates, worrying about bills he could pay tomorrow, if he only knew what was already sitting in his name.
Has he lost the inheritance? No. He simply lives without knowledge of it.
That's exactly how countless Christians live.
They pray for things they already possess.
They beg for a victory Christ has already won.
Not because they lack faith, but because they lack revelation.
And no amount of sincerity substitutes for that missing piece.
Notice that Jesus Christ never struggled with identity. At his baptism, before he had healed a single person, before he had preached a single sermon, the Father declared, "This is my beloved son."
Identity came before ministry.
So where was Satan's first attack against Jesus?
Not his power, his identity. If thou be the son of God, the same strategy used against Adam was used against Jesus Christ.
Question identity. Because once identity becomes uncertain, authority begins to weaken.
That's not a coincidence. It is the pattern the enemy has used since the garden. But Jesus Christ refused to argue with the devil. He simply stood on what he already knew to be true about Himself.
And that is exactly the pattern available to you. Not arguing with every accusing thought that shows up, but simply standing on what's already settled.

So, how do you actually begin walking in this?
Not as an abstract theological fact you nod along with once and then forget by Tuesday, but as your daily settled experience.
There are five practical keys that turn revelation into a lived reality. None of them are complicated. All of them require repetition.
