...know God: Stop Worrying

LORD  GOD whispers in Psalm 46:10,

"Be still and know that l am God."

Stillness is not passivity. It is confidence. It is the resting of a soul that has decided to trust even when the outcome remains unseen. To surrender to God is not to give up. It is to give over. To hand the weight of your worries into the hands that hold the universe.

Jesus Christ said in Matthew 11: 28-30,  "Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for l am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Rest is not found in the absence of burdens, but in shared strength. When you are yolked with Christ, you are never pulling life's weight alone. In every generation, those who trusted God most were not those who understood him fully, but those who obeyed him completely.

Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."   This verse calls for a pause in human striving to acknowledge God's sovereignty and power over all creation.
