'I've has so many pains in my muscles and joints ( I have polymyalgia rheumatical)  and I often still wake up with some stiffness and aches. But Walkactive has definitely loosened up all these joints and muscles so much. Now, after walking, I fell so much better than before. Best of all, I can incorporate Walkactive into my everyday life. I am now so aware of how I'm walking (wherever I'm walking - even down to the shops). So all this might sound a bit technical and complicated (at first). Bot don't worry - absolutely anyone can learn Walkactive and I'll be guiding you throughout each stage, so that it will all make sense to you. I also use a 'skill-layering' approach, whereby I teach you how to master one body part at a time. Then, when you're ready, you put all four body parts  together and hey presto! - that's Walkactive!

WHY WALKACTIVE IS 'INTELLIGENT EXERCISE'

Walkactive is 'intelligent exercise' because it realigns your body from the inside out. Intelligent exercise :

• creates space between the joints, so you can achieve correct posture alignment, so you feel and look amazing and energetic - and you lose the aches and pains.

• helps the deep internal muscles to support the joints your joints can at last move freely, the way they are meant to move, no longer limited and restricted, robbing you of your height, good posture and range of motion.

• builds a strong internal framework, beginning with your bones and working outwards, through the supportive muscles; your big muscles will then 'shrink-wrap' themselves around this taut, lean framework [instead of bulking up and pulling your body out of alignment].

IS WALKING ENOUGH?

Most people assume that they have to do something really vigorous such as jogging, or a gym class for an hour three times per week, if they want to see results. They start regimes with the best intention, but then real life kicks in - social  events, family commitments, long hours at work, endless chores, dark nights closing in and so on. And things tend to slip. Before they know it, their amazing new regime is 'broken'  and they are back into their old, bad wrong habits again. They  feel like they've failed. 

  If this sounds familiar to you, I'm not surprised. But it's not going to happen again. Walkactive is different. It is not a 'regime' - it's a way of life, a healthy one, too. It is about changing your  habits in a very manageable way, so that you never want to go back. Why Walkactive is better than running
Walking 'wrong' and running burn roughly the same number of calories over the same distance and at the similar speeds. If you run faster than you walk, you will burn more calories, but you may not get the toning benefits you hope for. Many women take up jogging in order to change their shape. They think it will bring streamlined thighs and hips. However, when you jog you are not contracting your glutes [bottom muscles] properly. Walkactive may be slower than running, but it tones your body much more effectively because it uses all your muscles in the right way. You are walking right.

The key to getting results lies in the detail - it is vital to get the technique right. And this takes practice - lots of right practice. But this doesn't mean you have to set aside hours of walking time. In fact, it is best to do your Walkactive practice sessions in really small chunks at first: as short as 10 or 15 minutes at a time, with each session focusing on one body part - the 'skill-layering' approach. 

  I'm asking you to start like this because it is easy to overload your brain and body when you're learning a whole new way of walking. And when your brain gets overloaded, your technique goes out the window. Wrong walking again.  So try to be patient and don't rush it. Enjoy and have fun. I want you to trust my years of experience, my Walkactive process and, most of all, your own body. This will work if you do it right, baby step by baby step, but to do it right, you have to take it slow. 

 Now, I can't wait to get you started, so let us begin! 

At first , it is important to focus on technique rather than how fast you go, so you won't even get particularly hot or sweaty. You just need a simple pedometer to count your steps, basic comfortable clothes and a pair of flat shoes - ideally ones that allow your foot to spread, and that don't have too rigid a sole. Can go barefoot, too. 

A pedometer is essential to your Walkactive success - it is going to become your best friend. 
A pedometer is a device about the size of a matchbox that typically attaches to your belt or waistband and counts your walking or running steps. It is going to help you reach your target, track your progress and keep on going. When it comes to choosing a pedometer there are two things that really matter : it should accurately record how many steps you take, and it should calculate your step rate [i.e. how many steps you take per minute].The latest scientific research shows that the number of steps you take is more important than the distance you travel. And with Walkactive you'll burn plenty of calories - so don't worry about that!

  We call it "the big G," as in God. However, the nomenclature of spirituality is not what's important. Call it whatever term best fits your belief system, but the universal power is all around us and support us with life-giving energy. To us, touching the earth helps us plug back into Source. It's as if while wearing shoes or being indoors all day we become unplugged from an energy source, and when we're touching the earth barefoot, we're plugged back in.

EXERCISE
Greeting Mother Earth

Dr. Warren Grossman, author of To Be Healed by the Earth, (click here to see his webite) believes the greater the awareness we have of the energy in the earth, the more it helps us. This exercise helps you grow your sensitivity to vitamin G.

  Lie down with your back flat on the ground, with your arms spread outward and your palms facing down. If possible, lie directly on the ground, but if needed use a thin blanket made of natural material such as wool or cotton. To begin, start with your knees bent and your feet (soles) flat on the ground. Focus on your breathing as you try to sense the earth. It is typically a  tngly or ticklish sensation.

1. Focus on your feet and their connection to the earth. What do you feel, or sense?

2. Next put your legs (knees) down and feel your calves connecting to the earth. What do you feel?

3. Move up your body and feel the earth. Next are hamstrings (back of your upper thighs).

4. Glutes (glutes maximus)

EXERCISE
Plugging into Source

This meditation will help you recharge your mind, body and spirit. When you actively focus on plugging into the energy of the earth, you're teaching your body to plug in automatically. In this seated meditation, we'll focus on feeling the earth's energy entering through your fingertips.

  Sit directly on the ground. Direct contact with the ground is preferred, but it's okay to sit on a towel or blanket made of natural materials, such as cotton or wool.  Cross your legs and sit as tall as you can. As if you are playing the piano, place your hands in front of you with each fingertips independently touching the ground. Go to Page 70 to see photo and more notes

The Power Of The Earth's Natural Energy

1. A plant begins its life as a seed.

Earth's energy budget accounts for the energy Earth receives from the Sun. Much of this energy is lost when the earth re-radiates it back into outer space, and the rest of the energy is distributed throughout the five components of Earth's climate system. This system is made up of earth's water, ice, atmosphere, rocky crust, and all living things.

Quantifying changes in these amounts is required to accurately model the Earth's climate.

Incoming, top-of-atmosphere (TOA) shortwave flux radiation, shows energy received from the sun (Jan 26–27, 2012).

Outgoing, longwave flux radiation at the top-of-atmosphere (Jan 26–27, 2012). Heat energy radiated from Earth (in watts per square metre) is shown in shades of yellow, red, blue and white. The brightest-yellow areas are the hottest and are emitting the most energy out to space, while the dark blue areas and the bright white clouds are much colder, emitting the least energy.

Received radiation is unevenly distributed over the planet, because the Sun heats equatorial regions more than polar regions. Energy is absorbed by the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere, and, in a process informally described as Earth's heat engine, the solar heating is redistributed through evaporation of surface water, convection, rainfall, winds, and ocean circulation. When the incoming solar energy is balanced by an equal flow of heat to space, the Earth is said to be in radiative equilibrium and under that condition, global temperatures will be stable.


Disturbances of Earth's radiative equilibrium, such as an increase of greenhouse gases, will change global temperatures in response. However, Earth's energy balance and heat fluxes depend on many factors, such as atmospheric composition (mainly aerosols and greenhouse gases), the albedo (reflectivity) of surface properties, cloud cover and vegetation and land use patterns. Changes in surface temperature due to Earth's energy budget do not occur instantaneously, due to the inertia of the oceans and the cryosphere. The net heat flux is buffered primarily by becoming part of the ocean's heat content, until a new equilibrium state is established between radiative forcings and the climate response.

In spite of the enormous transfers of energy into and from the Earth, it maintains a constant temperature because, as a whole, there is no net gain or loss: Earth receives the same amount of energy via insolation (all forms of electromagnetic radiation) as it emits via atmospheric and terrestrial radiation (shifted to longer electromagnetic wavelengths) to space.

To quantify Earth's heat budget or heat balance, let the insolation received at the top of the atmosphere be 100 units, as shown in the accompanying illustration. Called the albedo of Earth, around 35 units are reflected back to space: 27 from the top of clouds, 2 from snow and ice-covered areas, and 6 by other parts of the atmosphere. The 65 remaining units are absorbed: 14 within the atmosphere and 51 by the Earth’s surface. These 51 units are radiated to space in the form of terrestrial radiation: 17 directly radiated to space and 34 absorbed by the atmosphere (19 through latent heat of condensation, 9 via convection and turbulence, and 6 directly absorbed). The 48 units absorbed by the atmosphere (34 units from terrestrial radiation and 14 from insolation) are finally radiated back to space. These 65 units (17 from the ground and 48 from the atmosphere) balance the 65 units absorbed from the sun; thereby demonstrating no net gain of energy by the Earth.

Incoming radiant energy (shortwave)

The total amount of energy received per second at the top of Earth's atmosphere (TOA) is measured in watts and is given by the solar constant times the cross-sectional area of the Earth. Because the surface area of a sphere is four times the cross-sectional surface area of a sphere (i.e. the area of a circle), the average TOA flux is one quarter of the solar constant and so is approximately 340 W/m². Since the absorption varies with location as well as with diurnal, seasonal and annual variations, the numbers quoted are long-term averages, typically averaged from multiple satellite measurements.

Of the ~340 W/m² of solar radiation received by the Earth, an average of ~77 W/m² is reflected back to space by clouds and the atmosphere and ~23 W/m² is reflected by the surface albedo, leaving ~240 W/m² of solar energy input to the Earth's energy budget. This gives the earth a mean net albedo of 0.29.

Earth's internal heat and other small effects

The geothermal heat flux from the Earth's interior is estimated to be 47 terawatts.[9] This comes to 0.087 watt/square metre, which represents only 0.027% of Earth's total energy budget at the surface, which is dominated by 173,000 terawatts of incoming solar radiation.

Other minor sources of energy are usually ignored in these calculations, including accretion of interplanetary dust and solar wind, light from stars other than the Sun and the thermal radiation from space. Earlier, Joseph Fourier had claimed that deep space radiation was significant in a paper often cited as the first on the greenhouse effect.

Longwave radiation

Longwave radiation is usually defined as outgoing infrared energy leaving the planet. However, the atmosphere absorbs parts initially, or cloud cover can reflect radiation. Generally, heat energy is transported between the planet's surface layers (land and ocean) to the atmosphere, transported via evapotranspiration and latent heat fluxes or conduction/convection processes. Ultimately, energy is radiated in the form of longwave infrared radiation back into space. Evapotranspiration is the process by which water is transferred from the land to the atmosphere by evaporation from the soil and other surfaces and by transpiration from plants.

Recent satellite observations indicate additional precipitation, which is sustained by increased energy leaving the surface through evaporation (the latent heat flux), offsetting increases in longwave flux to the surface.

Earth's energy imbalance

If the incoming energy flux is not equal to the outgoing energy flux, the result is an energy imbalance, that amounts to net heat added to or lost by the planet (if the incoming flux is larger or smaller than the outgoing respectively). Earth's energy imbalance measurements provided by Argo floats have detected an accumulation of ocean heat content (OHC). The estimated imbalance was measured during a deep solar minimum of 2005-2010 to be 0.58 ± 0.15 W/m². Later research estimated the surface energy imbalance to be 0.60 ± 0.17 W/m².

Measurement
Several satellites indirectly measure the energy absorbed and radiated by Earth and by inference the energy imbalance. The NASA Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE) project involves three such satellites: the Earth Radiation Budget Satellite (ERBS), launched October 1984; NOAA-9, launched December 1984; and NOAA-10, launched September 1986.

Today NASA's satellite instruments, provided by CERES, part of the NASA's Earth Observing System (EOS), are designed to measure both solar-reflected and Earth-emitted radiation.


Natural greenhouse effect

The major atmospheric gases (oxygen and nitrogen) are transparent to incoming sunlight but are also transparent to outgoing thermal (infrared) radiation. However, water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane and other trace gases are opaque to many wavelengths of thermal radiation. The Earth's surface radiates the net equivalent of 17 percent of the incoming solar energy in the form of thermal infrared. However, the amount that directly escapes to space is only about 12 percent of incoming solar energy. The remaining fraction, 5 to 6 percent, is absorbed by the atmosphere by greenhouse gas molecules.







Atmospheric gases only absorb some wavelengths of energy but are transparent to others. The absorption patterns of water vapor (blue peaks) and carbon dioxide (pink peaks) overlap in some wavelengths. Carbon dioxide is not as strong a greenhouse gas as water vapor, but it absorbs energy in wavelengths (12–15 micrometres) that water vapor does not, partially closing the "window" through which heat radiated by the surface would normally escape to space. When greenhouse gas molecules absorb thermal infrared energy, their temperature rises. Those gases then radiate an increased amount of thermal infrared energy in all directions. Heat radiated upward continues to encounter greenhouse gas molecules; those molecules also absorb the heat, and their temperature rises and the amount of heat they radiate increases. The atmosphere thins with altitude, and at roughly 5–6 kilometres, the concentration of greenhouse gases in the overlying atmosphere is so thin that heat can escape to space.

Because greenhouse gas molecules radiate infrared energy in all directions, some of it spreads downward and ultimately returns to the Earth's surface, where it is absorbed. The Earth's surface temperature is thus higher than it would be if it were heated only by direct solar heating. This supplemental heating is the natural greenhouse effect. It is as if the Earth is covered by a blanket that allows high frequency radiation (sunlight) to enter, but slows the rate at which the low frequency infrared radiant energy emitted by the Earth leaves.

Climate sensitivity

A change in the incident radiated portion of the energy budget is referred to as a radiative forcing.

Climate sensitivity is the steady state change in the equilibrium temperature as a result of changes in the energy budget.


Climate forcings and global warming

Climate forcings are changes that cause temperatures to rise or fall, disrupting the energy balance. Natural climate forcings include changes in the Sun's brightness, Milankovitch cycles (small variations in the shape of Earth's orbit and its axis of rotation that occur over thousands of years) and volcanic eruptions that inject light-reflecting particles as high as the stratosphere. Man-made forcings include particle pollution (aerosols) that absorb and reflect incoming sunlight; deforestation, which changes how the surface reflects and absorbs sunlight; and the rising concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, which decreases the rate at which heat is radiated to space.

A forcing can trigger feedbacks that intensify (positive feedback) or weaken (negative feedback) the original forcing. For example, loss of ice at the poles, which makes them less reflective, causes greater absorption of energy and so increases the rate at which the ice melts, is an example of a positive feedback.

The observed planetary energy imbalance during the recent solar minimum shows that solar forcing of climate, although natural and significant, is overwhelmed by anthropogenic climate forcing.


In 2012, NASA scientists reported that to stop global warming atmospheric CO2 content would have to be reduced to 350 ppm or less, assuming all other climate forcings were fixed. The impact of anthropogenic aerosols has not been quantified, but individual aerosol types are thought to have substantial heating and cooling effects.

MENTAL MANIFESTING – THE ART OF INNER FENG SHUI

An important principle of Inner Feng Shui is that inner energy that comes from your mind has the power to actualize everything you wish for into reality.

All your wishes can come true and all the outcomes you want can take place. You have the power within you to manifest anything into your life. What you need to do is to focus your mind single-pointedly on what you want.

1. BELIEVE!
This is the most important part of the technique. You must believe that you have the power to mentally manifest what you want into reality.

You must believe that you deserve what you are asking for, that you have a right to it and that you do not need to feel guilty about having it or need to suffer for wanting to get it. To believe intensely in your self and simultaneously stay calm and relaxed requires practice. It cannot happen instantly. But this is the first part of the training and you need to gain control and to subdue your random thoughts, stabilize your mind and focus. This will lead to steady and positive concentration.

2. HAVE A GOAL
You must have a goal whenever you wish to engage your mind to manifest a reality you want. This is a very important part of the technique. Many people are not sure what they really want; their goals tend to be vague and uncertain. So think through your life at this moment and ask yourself what will make you really happy. If you are doing this for the first time, keep your wishes simple, easy to manifest and definitely not absurd or outrageous. The idea is to slowly convince your mind you can do it, so keep your wishes small. The best wishes are specific, focused and something you can visualize in your mind.

3. REMAIN in the PRESENT
Always define your wants and your goals in the present tense, not in future tense. Aim to say “I am successful at my job” instead of “I will be successful at my job” – “I am rich, I have abundance” , "I am enjoying my new house, my new car, my new television set.”

Remember that Objects of Desire are easier to manifest than abstract wishes involving other people. For instance, wishing to win the love of someone, to win a court case, to pass a certain exam, to be successful in a job application are aspirations that require more practice. But…… once you get the hang of it and your wishes start to come true, this will increasingly encourage you and eventually take you on the road to great success until it becomes a habitual part of your living.

Use the words “I desire” or “I want” or “I wish to become” as often as possible. This makes the manifesting process easier; desiring, wanting, wishing are important empowering words and this is because your subconscious mind, the inner higher self of YOU, will go to great lengths to actualize what you want simply to make you happy.

4. BE CREATIVE and KEEP your WISHES SECRET!
Better to go for prosperity programming than poverty programming.

It is wise and beneficial to keep all your wishes to yourself. Never spell out your goals to others. Any negative thoughts or doubts they may have regarding what you wish for can well block your own effort at actualizing. Remember, they too have the power to manifest reality, and while your wishes may be stronger and more powerful, you do not need any obstacles to your success. Any negative thought sent your way which directly targets your own efforts to manifest is sure to hamper your efforts. Make an effort to keep your wishes secret. You may, if you wish, share your success as soon as what you wish for materializes for you.

5. NEVER wish anything that harm others 
Keep all your wishes positive and make it a point never to wish harm to befall anyone. If you inadvertently harm someone intentionally, the same negative thing will eventually boomerang back on you. Use cosmic energy to offer love to another person. It is a lot more powerful.

6. TRUST in your HIGHER SELF 
It is possible that sometimes your higher self resists your efforts to actualize some particular outcome. This can come as a strong inner message that you should stop all attempts to actualize some outcome or something. Trust this message. It is probable that what you are trying to manifest is not in your own best interest or could in the long term harm you or harm someone you love. It benefits to trust your inner guide.

7. ACCESS your HIGHER PURPOSE
Successful Mental Manifestation helps your life becomes happy, successful, healthy, wealthy and stable, it is then that you will benefit even more by going to the next stage, which is to access in to a more meaningful life. Seek out the Higher Purpose of your life is to connect with your higher self who always knows what is best for you.

Over time, you will begin to notice that your pattern of wants and needs and desires take on a new rhythm and that you will be working towards attaining and achieving things that will bring you to even higher happiness levels… and these may not necessarily be associated with material-type goals or objects. GO with FLOW for you are being guided by your inner self, who is always watching over you!

8. HOW to COPE with STRESS? Your journey into self-discovery must take into account the stress level under which you operate. Look within to see what causes you to feel stressed. Consider the following stress-inducing situations and see if anything is causing you anxiety.

In attempting to dissect the causes of stress in your life, you will come to recognize your level of stress tolerance.

Different people have different levels of tolerance. Invariably, the cause of all stress can be reduced to three sources:

People around you who cause you to become emotionally stressed

External events which cause you to become physically stressed

Lifestyle-related issues that cause you to be psychologically stressed

If you examine these three main causes of stress, you will see that they all have to do with the way your mind reacts. The key to dealing successfully with stress starts with pinpointing the root of stress. Everything that causes us to feel stressed comes from the mind.

Generate a sense of mental calmness. Slow down your reaction to people, events and circumstances that cause you stress. Learn to reverse the negatives in life. Try some physical relaxation methods by starting with deep breathing exercises and create powerful and positive word affirmations. Think up short, powerful statements that continually enhance your confidence, build you up and convince you of positive outcomes.

Why Salt Lamps are Bad Feng Shui

So I started searching “salt lamp feng shui” and read as much as possible. Could it be that salt lamps are bad feng shui? Or that they should not be used in bedrooms? I had never considered this before.

Luckily the search didn’t take long.

Lillian Too (my favorite feng shui teacher) explains that salt lamps, while pretty, are bad bad bad.

Salt is a great cleansing agent especially if you are moving into a new home or when used in space clearing rituals. It’s particularly good when you need to remove stagnant energy from a piece of old furniture or next to your bedside as described above.

Salt lamps on the other hand are very harmful and do not have the power to cleanse. In fact, salt lamps will soak up all of your chi energy and you will feel tired and listless. They absorb all the good energy from the room including yours! Best to remove them if you are using them now. source

Kathryn Weber, another Feng Shui practitioner, has this to say:

Like the salt cures, these lamps too are quite drying. When they’re heated with a light element, it makes them even more drying. It’s the drying effect of salt lamps that creates problems such as lethargy and despondency, and a lethargic, despondent atmosphere in your home.

Unless you’re a side of ham, you don’t need to be dried out, or live in a drying atmosphere. Most houses (and often people) suffer from is not having enough water and water energy — and the salt just dries them out more. This means your wealth, like your skin, dries up too, as well as your opportunities. Have a salt lamp? Throw it away. source

Final Thoughts
Salt represents earth energy and should only be used sparingly as a cleansing cure. It’s too strong to be used as a regular staple because it absorbs all energy, good and bad.

If everything in your life is going harmoniously and you’re using a salt lamp, then no need to change anything. If life isn’t going as well as you want, try getting rid of that salt lamp and see if things turn around. It’s a very simple and free experiment to conduct.

I removed mine this evening and will report later how it goes. To be honest, I already kinda feel better.



Conscious parenting, family, and relationships.

DARE TO BE YOURSELF

And it can be extremely frightening, especially when being yourself can put you in danger.

I’ve struggled with this my entire life.

Only letting the world see but a fraction of who I was for fear of being ostracized or in some cases verbally or physically attacked.

However I kept flexing my courage muscle because the more I kept myself hidden the more I suffered.

The pain of hiding who I was, was worse than the fear of what I’d face by coming out.

So slowly I began to unveil myself.

First to those who were close to me and eventually to the world.

Not without literal blood, sweat and tears but regardless I felt I owed it to myself and to others who may be like me.

I stood up, wiped off the dirt, wiped off the blood, wiped my tears and like Socrates when asked to leave Athens or die for speaking his truth…

“You are asking birds not to sing in the morning, trees not to blossom when it’s time to blossom? You are asking me not to speak the truth? And that is my only joy: to share my truth with those who are groping in the dark. I am going to be here and I am going to continue teaching my truth”

and the judges said “Then we are helpless, because the mob , with a majority, wants you poisoned and killed”

and Socrates replied “That’s perfectly okay. You can kill me, but you cannot kill my spirit…”

and by spirit he meant his courage and his truth.

and I have learned to speak that truth even if my voice shakes because living outside that space is like being dead while you’re still alive.

PERSPECTIVE

I am in a portal in the mythical land called Chana, where the gods of the world are trying to take over her mind. I’m posting this monologue for its very fitting in this age and time.

Dear Gods of Chana,

I don’t understand. Why are you doing this? Why am I such a threat? Why are all these people trapped here threats to you? All we believe in is love. We have felt the power within us move and connect us to a universal force that is peaceful, not competitive and judgmental. How can you be afraid of this? You have created a land of war; where children are dulled down to conform to buying things, to listening to what corrupt officials tell them to believe, to work for elites who only get rich off our labors, who hate each other, judge and seek to destroy.

This power offers freedom. This power offers a way for all of us to get along, where everyone can connect to their highest potentials and make this world beautiful.

You are nothing but greed and malice. You want us to become you. You want us to not think. Not feel. I know what you are doing. You want us to obey, to work for you, to adore you, to be afraid, which goes against everything inside of us. You are selfish. You want us to be walking dead, where anything that makes us special is dead within us, so we can make you rich.

I will fight this. I can feel how you are making my mind tell me things to do; to make me believe that my mind and what I see in front of me is real. But you cannot destroy what my heart has felt, that power within me is the only real thing. And I will remain connected to it no matter how hard you try to beat it out of me. It will survive even if that means you have to kill me.

I can feel it. Whatever you’ve put in here, in this portal, is making me angry, making me think things, like that you are an enemy, that the other people in here with me are my foes. But I want you to know that I remember when I was told the secret. I remember my mother’s eyes, pale like the sky on a mid winter’s day and full of warmth. My mother, with warm hands, told me to close my eyes. She placed a finger on my forehead and suddenly my mind was still and I felt that force that moves from my heart up to a God much higher than you.

You cannot take that away from me, you have no right. I just want to make this world better. This secret should be no threat to you. Everyday I see people so unhappy and so consumed by their mind.


But I’m sorry for you because even if you kill me, you can never destroy this power. It will only grow and spread and one day chill the coals of destruction.

I’ve often struggled on my path, sometimes more than I’ve triumphed.

Each time was painful, sometimes seeming like beyond relief.

But there always seemed to be a light, someone who was there to listen, to remind me of my greatness and to lift me higher.


I’m grateful for those people, and my only wish, is that in some way I can pay that forward.

ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE A LIGHT

True story.

At least for me it is.

I remember being somewhere around the age of 18.

I lived with a few friends in a dodgy apartment, AMK 420.

“The crack building” it was called.

We had barely any food; popcorn, a bag of potatoes and coffee (no sugar or cream) to be precise.

But it didn’t matter to me.

I was comfortable.

Because it tasted like freedom.

23 years later as I sit in my 650 square foot condo on the water, sipping fresh coconut water, just about to make a smoothie.

“It doesn’t matter where it leads” because I’m comfortable right where I’m at.

Because this feels like freedom.

The ultimate luxury.

You see, when we are present and overflowing with gratitude, by some miraculous force….

Some call it God, some call it the Universe.

Some will say it’s a cliche, but it’s always true for me…


God/The Universe presents us exactly what we need to get where we’re going.

THAT’S FREEDOM

the feeling of being free of the opinion of others is just speechless amazing 

Your feet so rooted in the earth that nothing or no one can make you budge.

You know who you are, what you want and where you’re going.

Once you’ve tasted it you can’t help but desire more and when momentarily the shadow of the person who once allowed them self to be manipulated by the will of others creeps in.

As Cher did to Nicolas Cage in the movie ‘Moonstruck’ you give yourself a virtual smack in the face and say ‘snap out of it’

Your Personal Lucky Directions (Feng Shui)

Something new and interesting happened.

I told you that I’ve been rearranging my furniture. For example, there was this couch that was in the middle of my living room that always felt off. I kept bumping into it. It looked out of place. But it stayed there for many years.

Recently, I had a flash of idea to move it to the opposite side. And it felt perfect. Even sitting on it felt more comfortable. My apartment flows better. All is well in my world.

It was after I did this that I discovered something called your Kua number. It’s from feng shui and is based on your birthdate and the chinese lunar year.

What you do is take the last two digits of your birth year, add them together.
Mine is 1981. Thus, I get 8+1 = 9.
Then, for males, you subtract this number from 10.
10-9 = 1. That’s my Kua number.

It’s different for women. You will add 5 to your number. 9+5 = 14. Keep adding til you get a single digit: 1+4=5.

And know that the lunar year doesn’t start with January 1. For example, if you were born in Jan 1981, it’s considered 1980.

Confusing, I know.

To make it easier, you can use this Kua calculator from Lillian Too (famous feng shui teacher).

And depending on your kua number, you have four lucky directions and four unlucky directions.

I realized the way my couch was positioned before, I was facing West while seated. An unlucky direction for me. And coincidentally, it’s now facing East, a lucky direction.

If it simply stopped there, I wouldn’t have minded much about this.

But there are more examples.

Usually, I journal while lying in bed in a certain favorite position. I’ve tried many others but this one direction was where it felt freeing.

It turns out, that direction is the #1 favored position for Kua 1 people. South-East. Cool!

The other day, I was hanging out at a friends house. There were three seating options, each facing a different direction. I was not thinking about lucky directions. I kept moving until something felt good. The couch didn’t feel right. The one chair didn’t feel right. And the last chair was just right. I opened up my compass, and I was facing South-East!

Interesting!

I wish I had a chart of all of my favorite positions over the years to see if they match up with my lucky directions.

Anyways, this is a cool little fun thing to try out and I wanted to share it with you. I have no idea why it works. If it works. How it works. Nothing except that it seems I naturally favor my lucky directions.

Turn to the particular disorder you'd like to treat, and before actually using the algorithm, read through it from beginning to end. Become completely familiar with it. If you'd like, isolate each step and try it out. Tap at the edge of the eyebrow. Tap under the eye. Find the "collarbone point" and practice tapping it. once you become comfortable with each step, you're ready to implement the entire algorithm.

Tapping the Healer

Within

Tapping the Healer Within is a good book, and
Roger Callahan is an excellent writer. However
TFT as taught in the book has been far
superceded by EFT.

Thought Field Therapy is the technique that
Callahan invented and teaches in Tapping the
Healer Within, and it is way more complicated
than Emotional Freedom Technique as taught on
this website. Both techniques are effective to an
equal degree.  For practical use of Tapping, you
are far better off reading Tap Yourself Free. It
will give you the understanding of your
emotional system and your negative feelings and
beliefs that you need to use Tapping in your daily
life.  It’s difficult to learn the Tapping sequence
from any book, although Tapping the Healer
Within contains great diagrams and clear
instructions. It’s much easier to learn from a
video though - you can start tapping right away
with the videos on this site.   There is no benefit
to learning TFT when you can learn EFT. You
can use them both on the same problems and
they tend to have the same level of effectiveness.  
However, Tapping the Healer Within gives you a
great understanding of the emotional system and
the way energy techniques such as EFT and TFT
release trapped energy.  Thought Field Therapy
combines acupuncture points from Oriental
Medicine with Body Centered Psychotherapy,all
of which is nicely explained in Tapping the
Healer Within.  Learning Tapping from a book
like Tapping the Healer Within is not the easiest
way, it is far better to have someone guide you
through it. Even the most experienced healers
can have difficulty treating themselves, and see
other healers for precisely this reason. When you
are starting out it can be particularly difficult. 
The next best thing from seeing someone in
private is to use video tutorials such as the ones
on this site.  The difference between EFT and
TFT as taught in Tapping the Healer Within is
that for TFT there are many different ‘recipes’
for tapping procedures. EFT uses the same
tapping procedure each time and is just as
effective. All that is needed is to direct the
mind’s attention by verbalising the problem. 
Learning particular recipes such as those in
Tapping the Healer Within for each different
problem is unnecessary. It also seems doubtful that a particular problem would have the same tapping sequence
for everyone. People’s energy systems are as
diverse as people themselves.  Overall I would
recommend Tapping the Healer Within if you
really want a thorough understanding of your
energy system, although there are certainly better
books to start with. As a practical guide Tap
Yourself Free is a lot better to get started with.
