The Power Most Christians Don't Know Exists in Your Spirit Through the Father
Your spirit has power. Most Christians never use your spirit can reach across the world and touch another human being, right now. Not metaphorically, not symbolically, literally. Your spirit is contacting the Father. Your spirit is reaching other human spirits through the Father. And most Christians have no idea this power even exists.
Apostle Paul said, "My spirit and the Lord Jesus will be with you in your deliberations."
It does not seem credible since knowledge can't grasp this. It is in the realm of the recreated spirit. We become so utterly one with him. We become so utterly ruled and governed by the word and by the Holy Spirit that we become masters of demons and of their work. We cast out demons with the word. We pray for sick folks and the diseases leave them. Weakness is destroyed by the strength of God. The very life of God flows out through our lips.
Do you remember what Jesus said in John 7: verses 38 and 39? He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, from within him shall flow rivers of living water. One translation says, "Shall gush torrents of living water." Jesus is speaking of the Holy Spirit's indwelling presence. And how from our inner life of prayer there gushes forth a torrent of the very life of God that speeds on its way to that one who is in need. No one knows about the fullness of this. We are in the very infancy of this prayer life. Think about that for a second. Rivers of living water flowing out of you. Not a trickle, not a stream. Rivers, torrents, gushing out of your spirit to people who need it, to people hundreds of miles away, to people you've never met, to people in desperate need of what flows out of you when you pray. Electricity has made the wireless and the radio realities. Electricity is God's life in the mechanical world. Will that life in the mechanical world be stronger, more efficacious than his nature in our spirits? I can't believe it. I know that our prayers bring the very presence of God upon men in any part of the world.
You see, this is cooperating with him.
God through you is ruling the demons and evil forces all over the world. You become his voice in that name. The Word really becomes the sword of the spirit and it is waging a war against demoniacal forces who rule men. His word through your lips dominates these world forces. They don't know it but they feel cramped, bound, hindered, conquered.
Jesus said "in my name you shall cast out demons." That means rule them, govern them. God through you then can sway the nations. Now you can understand what apostle Paul meant in 2 Corinthians chapter 6 verse one. Laboring together with him.
How? Through this marvelous prayer life.
You have entered the holy priesthood in your prayer life. You can be God's voice, his spokesman, his ambassador, his underruler in Jesus' name through the word in your lips. You become God's will toward a Satan ruled world. You are taking Jesus' place. You are acting in his stead. Once more, God is set free among men. You remember that God gave to Adam dominion over all the earth.
That dominion was restored to us through Jesus. But it is of no value to us unless we, the Jesus men, use that authority in his name. That authority was given to an individual Adam. Now the authority is given to us as believers in the name. Jesus exercised that dominion. He ruled the sea. He ruled the fish. He ruled the human body. He made legs grow where they had been amputated. He fed the multitudes. Jesus did not exercise any authority or ability that is not latent in his name today. Someday there is going to rise a people who will take Jesus' place and bless humanity as Jesus blessed them in dear old Galilee. Did not Jesus Christ say in Matthew 28 18- 20. All authority has been given unto me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore uh and make disciples, not converts, but students of the word of all nations. And behold, I am with you always, even unto the end of this age. He is with us in the word, that living word. He is with us in his name. He is with us in the presence of the Holy Spirit. We join forces with him in this prayer life.
That all authority was given to him as the head of the church and it is for the church to use. The authority that is in his name is in your lips. You let that authority loose. You give it liberty and it blesses men. He has made us his children, sons and daughters of the Living God. He has given us the name. He has given us the Holy Spirit. He has restored all that the first Adam lost and more. We are Satan's rulers. We are masters of demons and laws that sin brought into being.
Why did he redeem us?
Why make us new creations?
Why make us righteous?
Why dwell in us?
Why give us the name?
Why say that in Jesus' name we could cast out demons?
What did he expect us to do after making us all this just to be good neutral sons and daughters who never face the enemy?
Who simply read the word but never act on it? Who do not take our redemption and new creation seriously. Is he mocking us? Is his Word like dry clouds in a drought? Is Satan invincible? Must we yield to Satan's dominion and Satan ruled circumstances?
Must we say that battle tanks, planes, and bombs are to rule the world? Or is God still living and are we tied up with him? I can feel God's question there. He is saying to me, "Have you taken these facts as seriously as your nation has taken the draft laws?
Is my redemption and new creation as real as the taxes? Does it mean anything?
We must face this issue. We are surrounded by demoniacal forces that are dominating the human on earth. And if the church hasn't authority over these, then no one has. But the church has. And prayer is our method and mode of dominating these diabolical forces that are wrecking civilization.
Let me show you what this looks like in real life. You're sitting in your living room in America and on the other side of the world in Africa, someone you've never met is under demonic attack. They're tormented. They're oppressed. They're bound by forces they can't see and can't fight. And the Holy Spirit prompts you to pray.
You don't know why.
You don't know for whom. You just know you need to pray. So you do.
You pray in Jesus' name.
You speak to those demonic forces.
You command them to release their hold.
You loose the power of God over that situation.
And thousands of miles away in that moment, something breaks. The oppression lifts. The torment stops. The person feels peace for the first time in months. They don't know why. They don't know that you prayed and commanded in the name of Jesus Christ , but your spirit reached their spirit through the Father and the power of God flowed from your lips to their situation.
That's not theory. That's not symbolism.
That's the reality of what happens when you understand the power of prayer.
Your spirit can reach anywhere.
Your prayers can touch anyone.
Distance means nothing in the spirit realm.
You're praying for someone you love who's sick. They're in the hospital. You're at home. You can't be there physically, but you can be there in the spirit. So, you pray, not begging God to heal them, but commanding that sickness to leave in Jesus' name.
And as you pray, the life of God flows out of your spirit. It flows through the Father to their spirit. It flows into their body. And that life, that resurrection life, that same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead begins to work in their body. Cells begin to heal. Organs begin to function. Systems begin to restore. Not because of medicine, not because of doctors, but because the life of God flowed from your spirit to their body through prayer.
This is what Jesus meant when he said, "Rivers of living water would flow out of you." This is what apostle Paul meant when he said, "We labor together with HIM." This is what it means to be God's voice, to be God's spokesman, to be God's ambassador on earth.
You're watching the news and you see chaos, war, violence, oppression, evil running rampant, and you feel helpless. What can one person do against all that? Everything.
You can do everything because you have the name, Jesus Christ in you.
You have the authority.
You have the power. So you pray.
You don't pray hoping God might do something. You pray knowing that God through you is doing something. You speak to those principalities and powers ruling over those nations. You bind them in Jesus's name. You loose the power of God over those situations. And in the spirit realm, things shift. Demonic forces that were free to operate suddenly feel bound. Evil plans that were progressing suddenly hit obstacles.
People who were blinded suddenly start to see truth. Not because you're powerful, but because God through you is powerful.
The Word in your lips becomes a sword. That sword cuts through spiritual darkness. That sword binds demonic forces. That sword releases the captives. And you're wielding that sword from your living room through prayer.
You're in a prayer meeting. And someone asks you to pray for a missionary in China. You've never been to China. You've never met this missionary, but you understand prayer. So you pray. And as you pray, your spirit reaches across the ocean through the Father to that missionary spirit.
And in that moment, that missionary who was about to give up , gets sudden strength. That missionary who was discouraged gets sudden hope. That missionary who was under attack gets sudden protection because your spirit touched their spirit through prayer. This is the power that most Christians never tap into.
They think prayer is just words going up to heaven. They don't understand that prayer is spiritual power flowing out of them to touch situations and people anywhere in the world. They don't understand that when they pray, they're not just talking. They're releasing the life of God. They're wielding the sword of the spirit. They're binding demonic forces. They're loosing the power of heaven.
You have a co-orker who's lost. They're bound by addiction. They're trapped in sin. They're headed for destruction. And you can't preach to them. They won't listen. But you can pray for them. So you do every day. You pray. You speak to those demonic forces holding them. You bind those spirits of addiction. You loose the spirit of conviction over them. You release the life of God into their situation. And day by day, something shifts. They start to question their lifestyle. They start to feel conviction. They start to hunger for something more. And one day, they ask you about your faith. And you get to lead them to Christ. Not because you preached at them, but because you prayed for them.
Your prayers prepared the soil.
Your prayers bound the enemy.
Your prayers loosed the power of God.
And when you spoke, they were ready to receive because your prayers had already done the work in the spirit realm.
This is what it means to labor together with God.
This is what it means to be his voice.
This is what it means to take Jesus place.
Jesus ruled demons. Jesus healed the sick. Jesus set the captives free.
And Jesus said you would do the same works he did and even greater works. Why? Because he gave you his name. He gave you his authority. He gave you his Spirit. He gave you his Word. And all of that power is activated through prayer.
So here's the question.
Are you using it?
Are you taking this seriously?
Are you praying like someone who has authority?
Are you praying like someone who has power?
Are you praying like someone whose spirit can reach across the world and touch another human being?
Or are you praying like most Christians pray?
Just saying words, just hoping God might listen.
Just wishing something might happen.
Not understanding the power that's in you.
Not understanding the authority that's been given to you.
Not understanding that your prayers can literally change situations halfway around the world.
God is asking you the same question he asked me. Have you taken these facts as seriously as your nation has taken the draft laws?
Is his redemption and new creation as real to you as the taxes you pay?
Does it mean anything or is it just nice theology that you believe but never actually use?
We are surrounded by demoniacal forces.
That's not an exaggeration. That's reality. Demons are ruling people.
Demons are influencing nations. Demons are wrecking civilization. And if the church doesn't have authority over these forces, then no one does. But we do have authority. We have all the authority we need. We have the name.
We have the Word. We have the Spirit. We have everything we need to dominate these forces that are destroying lives and nations. And prayer is our method.
Prayer is how we exercise that authority.
Prayer is how we release that power. Prayer is hoW we become God's Voice speaking to a Satan ruled world.
So stop treating prayer like an optional religious activity you do when you have time.
Start treating it like the weapon it is.
Start treating it like the power source it is.
Start treating it like the authority it is.
Start praying knowing that your spirit can reach anyone, anywhere, any time.
Start praying knowing that the Word in your lips is a sword that cuts through darkness.
Start praying knowing that you are God's voice, God's spokesman, God's ambassador with full authority to act in Jesus's name.
Start praying like Jesus prayed with authority, with power, with confidence, knowing that what you bind on earth is bound in heaven.
Knowing that what you loose on earth is loosed in heaven.
Knowing that your prayers don't just go up, they go out, they reach, they touch, they change things.
The authority is yours.
The power is available.
The Name is given.
The Spirit is within you.
The Word is in your mouth.
Everything you need to be effective in prayer, you already have.
Now use it. Pray for the sick and watch them recover.
Pray for the lost and watch them get saved.
Pray for the nations and watch things shift.
Pray for those under demonic attack and watch them get free.
Because your spirit has power most Christians never use.
And it's time you started using yours.
Live like it.

El Shaddai, God of covenant and restoration, I cry out for broken marriages today. Let love be resurrected where it has died. You are the God who binds up the brokenhearted and restores what the enemy tried to ruin. Where there’s unforgiveness, sow grace. Where there’s silence, plant understanding. Heal wounded hearts and reconnect divided souls. Let the threefold cord not be easily broken. Reignite unity, Lord, and be the glue that holds them together. Let no man put asunder what You have joined. Restore what has been torn and bring reconciliation by Your Spirit. In Jesus Christ’s powerful name, amen.
6. Intercessory Prayer for Deliverance from Strongholds
Mighty Deliverer, Breaker of Chains, I stand in the gap for those imprisoned by addiction, fear, lust, pride, and every bondage. For whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Tear down the walls the enemy has built. Let every demonic stronghold crumble like Jericho. I speak liberty over the captives and declare, “Come out in Jesus Christ’s name!” Replace torment with peace and shame with joy. Holy Spirit, flood every dark place with light. I command every chain to break and declare a new beginning. Let them rise clothed in freedom. Deliver them, O Lord, and be glorified forever!
7. Intercessory Prayer for Wisdom and Divine Guidance
O Ancient of Days, Fountain of Wisdom, I intercede for those seeking direction. You said, “If any lacks wisdom, let him ask,” so I ask boldly. Illuminate the path before them. Speak in dreams, whisper through peace, and thunder through confirmation. I declare clarity over chaos, and divine strategy over delay. Guide them with Your eye, Lord. Lead them in the way everlasting, in Jesus Christ’s name.
8. Intercessory Prayer for Church Leaders and Pastors
Great Shepherd of the sheep, we lift up Your servants—pastors, teachers, and leaders You have anointed. Strengthen their hearts, refresh their spirits, and guard their families. Let no weapon formed against them prosper. Surround them with armor and angelic protection. Anoint their lips with fire, their hands with healing, and their words with power. Raise up Aaron and Hur to lift their arms in battle. May they not grow weary in doing good, for harvest is near. Pour fresh oil, O God, and let revival begin in the pulpit. Cover them, sustain them, and be glorified through them in Jesus Christ’s name.
9. Intercessory Prayer for National Revival
Lord of Nations, King of Glory, we cry for revival in our land! Rend the heavens and come down! Let righteousness spring up from the ground and truth rain from Heaven. Forgive our sins and heal our land. Awaken the sleeping church. Shake every idol, expose every lie, and turn hearts back to You. Raise up intercessors like watchmen on the wall. Let repentance flood the streets and salvation sweep across cities. We speak life over dry bones—revive us again! From the government to the grassroots, let Your Spirit fall. Ignite a national awakening, Lord, for Your name’s sake!
10. Intercessory Prayer for the Lost and Unsaved
Merciful Savior, Lover of Souls, I plead for the lost. Your Word says You desire none to perish but all to come to repentance. Draw them with cords of lovingkindness. Pierce the veil from their eyes and soften their hearts. Remove stony places and sow seeds of truth. Send laborers into their path. Awaken their conscience; give them divine encounters. Let the prodigals return, the blind see, and the deaf hear Your voice. I cancel every assignment of the enemy against their salvation. Lord Jesus, rescue them from darkness and translate them into Your Kingdom of Light. Save them, O God!
11. Intercessory Prayer for Breakthrough in Career
Jehovah El Elyon, God Most High, I lift those who feel stuck or stagnant in their careers. You said you open doors no man can shut. So arise, O Lord, and make a way in the wilderness. Let favor surround them like a shield. Reveal the next step. Provide divine connections, promotions, and breakthroughs. Remove limitations and lead them into divine placement. I cancel every spirit of delay and confusion. You are the God who promotes from the dust and lifts the humble. Let new levels of excellence, purpose, and provision manifest. Crown their efforts with success, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name.
12. Intercessory Prayer for Peace in Troubled Times
Prince of Peace, Anchor in the storm, I intercede for those surrounded by chaos. Speak, “Peace, be still,” over every anxious heart. Let not their hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. Pour out the peace that surpasses understanding. Guard minds and emotions through Christ Jesus. I silence every voice of fear, torment, and despair. Release stillness in the storm and calm in the battle. Be their refuge and hiding place. Wrap them in your shalom—completeness, safety, and rest. I declare peace over homes, minds, and nations. You are our calm in the whirlwind. Be glorified, O Lord!
13. Intercessory Prayer for Strength in Weakness
El Gibbor, Mighty God, I cry out for those who feel weary and faint. As You strengthened Elijah beneath the juniper tree, strengthen Your children today. Your Word declares, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Just as Paul rejoiced in infirmities, let Your power rest upon them now. Father, be their rock and firm foundation. When they walk through fire, they shall not be burned. Renew their strength like the eagle. Let them mount up and not faint. Wrap them in Your power, Lord, and cause them to rise again in Jesus Christ’s name.
14. Intercessory Prayer for Favor and Open Doors
O God of Joseph, the Door-Opener, I lift those waiting for favor. As you gave Esther favor before the king and Joseph in Pharaoh’s court, let divine doors swing open! Your Word says, “You shall rise and have mercy upon Zion, for the time to favor her has come.” Break delay. Overrule protocols. Promote them beyond qualifications. Let kings come to the brightness of their rising. Cause the hearts of men to be stirred in their favor. I decree open doors, divine access, and accelerated breakthrough. The keys of David are in Your hands. Open, O Lord, and none shall shut!
15. Intercessory Prayer for Children’s Destiny
Abba Father, You are the Author of destiny and the Keeper of generations. I lift every child into Your sovereign hands. As You called Samuel from a young age and raised David from the field to the throne, let destinies arise. I declare, “Our children shall be taught by the Lord and great shall be their peace.” Cancel every satanic exchange and reverse every evil prophecy. Let their names be written in Heaven’s scroll. Plant them by rivers of living water. Protect them from every snare of darkness. Raise them as arrows in Your hand, and fulfill every divine assignment.
16. Intercessory Prayer for Overcoming Temptation
Holy and Righteous Judge, I stand in the gap for those battling temptation. Strengthen them like you strengthened Jesus in the wilderness. Your Word declares, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man, but God is faithful…” Rescue them from the snare of the enemy. Let them not fall as Adam, but stand as Joseph did. Give them escape routes, strength, and spiritual resistance. I bind every lying spirit that glorifies sin and loose a hunger for righteousness. Let holiness rise like incense in their lives. Keep them blameless until the day of Christ. In Jesus Christ’s name, amen.
17. Intercessory Prayer for Emotional Healing
Jehovah Shalom, God of Peace, I intercede for the brokenhearted. Your Word says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” I call forth healing into every scar, every trauma, and every silent pain. Be to them the Balm in Gilead. Restore what grief, betrayal, and abuse have stolen. Like Hannah, turn their mourning into song. Wipe every tear. Release joy for sorrow and praise for heaviness. Let peace reign in the depths of their soul. Holy Spirit, breathe healing into every wound. I declare divine restoration and emotional resurrection. May their hearts beat again in freedom and joy.
18. Intercessory Prayer for Unity in the Body of Christ
Elohim, God of Unity, I cry out for oneness in Your Church. As Jesus prayed, “That they all may be one,” let this prayer echo now. Break the spirit of division, offense, and competition. Let love bind us together in perfect harmony. As the early church gathered in one accord, pour out fresh fire and unshakable unity. Let denominational walls crumble. Unite our hearts for revival, for missions, for truth. Empower leaders to walk in humility and members in servanthood. Let the Church arise in strength and beauty, a Bride without spot. For where there is unity, You command the blessing.
19. Intercessory Prayer for Missionaries and God's Five-Fold, Ministers; apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Elders and deacons.
Lord of the Harvest, Commander of Heaven’s army, I lift up every missionary and Your anointed ministers doing the work of the Gospel. As Paul and Barnabas were sent out by the Spirit, empower these laborers with boldness, protection, and supernatural provision. “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace!” Let signs and wonders follow their message. Give them open heavens, receptive hearts, and favor with men. Shield them from persecution and discouragement. Strengthen their hands and stir fresh fire in their bones. May nations be transformed through their witness. Use them, O God, for Your glory.
20. Intercessory Prayer for Government Leaders
Ruler of Nations, King of all kings, I stand in the gap for presidents, governors, lawmakers, and judges. Your Word commands us to pray for those in authority so we may live in peace. As you gave wisdom to Solomon, give our leaders divine discernment. Remove wicked counselors. Raise up Daniels and Josephs—God-fearing men and women in government. Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream. Expose corruption, silence confusion, and establish truth. Protect those who walk in integrity. Lead our nation through righteous leadership. Rule through them, Lord, and be enthroned over every seat of power.
21. Intercessory Prayer for Supernatural Provision
Jehovah Jireh, my Provider, I intercede for those in need of Heaven’s supply. As you sent manna to Israel and multiplied loaves for the 5,000, provide miraculously again. “The young lions may lack, but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” Open windows of Heaven. Pour out blessings they cannot contain. Break every cycle of lack and devourer. Release creative ideas, divine favor, and angelic help. Let debts be canceled and storehouses overflow. You are the God who brings water from rocks and coins from fish. Let supernatural provision manifest today, in Jesus Christ’s powerful name!
22. Intercessory Prayer for Breaking Generational Curses
Chain-Breaking God, the Curse Reverser, I cry out for freedom across generations. Your Word says, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law.” Every inherited bondage—poverty, disease, addiction, failure—I uproot by the blood of Jesus! As Gideon tore down his father’s altar, let every evil pattern be destroyed. I decree: What bound my bloodline ends with me! From this moment, I walk in blessing and not curse. Let your fire consume every ancestral chain. Raise a new legacy of faith, favor, and freedom. I seal this family line with the covenant of Jesus Christ. No curse can stand, amen!
23. Intercessory Prayer for Divine Acceleration
Lord of Speed and Suddenly, I stand in the gap for those who feel delayed. As Elijah outran Ahab’s chariot and Joseph rose from prison to palace in one day, let divine acceleration come! Your Word says, “I will do a quick work and cut it short in righteousness.” Redeem the years stolen by delay, fear, or failure. Send help swiftly. Shift times and seasons. Let what would take years happen in weeks. Place your hand upon them for supernatural speed. Let divine appointments, open doors, and answered prayers manifest now. No more delay! Arise, O God, and do it quickly!
24. Intercessory Prayer for Endurance and Perseverance
God of Endurance, Strength of the weary, I intercede for those tempted to give up. As Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before Him, let strength arise in their inner man. “He who endures to the end shall be saved.” Give them a spirit that does not quit. Let hope anchor their soul. When the storm rages, speak peace. When the road is long, walk beside them. Infuse them with supernatural grace to finish strong. Remind them that you are faithful. The crown awaits. They shall not faint but overcome. Let perseverance be their portion, in Jesus Christ’s name.
Conclusion
Let these prayers become a lifestyle, as you pray through each section. Let every word you release in intercession shake the unseen realm and establish God’s will on earth. Don’t underestimate the impact of your prayers. Keep standing, keep declaring and interceding, knowing that every time you kneel in prayer for someone else, Heaven leans in. And as you lift others before the throne of grace, may the God who hears in secret reward you openly. In Jesus Christ’s mighty name, amen.
