The Shocking Truth About Eternal Life Most Christians Miss

Regardless of who you say you are, read on and know the truth. 

 Most believers think eternal life is something that begins when they die.

They view it as a future promise, a distant reward waiting on the other side of the grave. But what if everything you've been taught about eternal life is incomplete? 

What if eternal life is not just about duration, but about a quality of existence that was meant to transform you right now in this present moment? 

 What if the very nature of eternal life holds the key to overcoming every struggle, every fear, and every limitation you face today? 

The truth about eternal life has been hidden in plain sight for centuries. It's been reduced to a ticket to heaven, a fire insurance policy, when in reality, it's the most powerful, most transformative force available to the believer / unbeliever / make- believer. 

And once you understand what eternal life truly is, once you grasp its nature and how it functions, everything changes. 

Your identity shifts, your authority expands, and the life you've been trying so hard to live in your own strength suddenly becomes effortless because you're operating in the very life of God Himself.

 This is not theological abstraction. 

This is not religious philosophy. 

This is the foundation of everything Jesus Christ came to give you. 

And the enemy has worked tirelessly to keep this truth from you. Because the moment you understand eternal life, you become unstoppable. 

You stop living as a struggling human trying to please God and start living as a child of God carrying His very nature. 

This is what a person discovered under the illumination of the Holy Spirit and it revolutionized one's understanding of the Christian life. 

   Today you're going to see what he saw and it will change everything. Let us start by addressing the most common misunderstanding about eternal life. When most people hear the phrase eternal life, they immediately think of time. They think eternal life means living forever. And while that's partially true, it's woefully incomplete. 

Eternal life is not primarily about quantity of time. It is about quality of existence. 

It is not just endless years.  It is a specific kind of life, a divine life, the very life that flows through the heart of God himself. 

 And that life has been imparted to you the moment you were born again. 

In John 17:3, Jesus prayed to the Father and said, "And this  is life eternal, that they might know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." 

Notice what Jesus defined as eternal life. 

It's not a place you go to. It's not a state you enter after death. 

Eternal life is knowing God. It is intimate experiential knowledge of the Father and the Son. Its union with God. Its participation in the divine nature. 

   And this knowing, this union, this participation begins the moment you acknowledge and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. 

It does not start when you die. It starts now.  Here. You can understand this with stunning clarity. 

Eternal life is the nature of God. It is what God is. When we receive  eternal life, we receive the nature and substance of deity." That statement should shake you to your core. When you were born again, you didn't just receive forgiveness of sins. You didn't just get your name written in a book. You received the very nature of God. You became a partaker of the divine nature. 

As second Peter 1:4 declares, "The same life that sustains the father, the same life that raised Jesus from the dead, the same life that created the universe is now dwelling in your spirit." That's not religion. That's reality. But here's where most believers get stuck. They know they have eternal life in some vague theoretical sense, but they do not know what to do with it. They do not understand how it functions. They don't realize that eternal life is meant to dominate their present experience, not just secure their future destination. 

 And because of this ignorance, they live far below their inheritance. They struggle with sickness, poverty, fear, and defeat, never realizing that the very solution to every problem is already inside them in the form of eternal life. 

  Let's dig deeper into what eternal life actually is. The Greek word translated eternal in the New Testament is ionios which means age-abiding or everlasting. But it's not just about duration. It's about origin. Eternal life is the life of the eternal age. The life of the age to come. The life of God's kingdom. It is not subject to death, decay, or corruption. It does not wear out. It does not diminish. It does not fail. It is self- sustaining, self-perpetuating, and victorious over every opposing force. And this life, this indestructible, incorruptible,  victorious life has been placed inside your recreated human spirit. 

First John 5: verses 11 to 12 says, "And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son , hath life. And he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 

Notice the present tense. God has given us eternal life, not will give, has given. 

 If you have the Son, you have the life right now. Not someday, not in heaven. Right now. The life of God is in you. 

The question is not whether you have it. 

 The question is whether you're living out of it. The new birth is the impartation of the nature of God to the human spirit. 

When you were born again, your spirit was recreated. It was made alive with the  life of God. It was infused with the nature of God. You became a new creation, not just a forgiven sinner. 

2 Corinthians 5:17 declares, "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new." 

That new creature is not a reformed version of your old self. It's a brand new spiritual being  created in righteousness and true holiness, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and animated by eternal life.

  Now, here's the shocking part that most Christians miss. Eternal life does not just secure your future in heaven. Eternal life is meant to govern your present circumstances on earth. 

  The life of God inside you is greater than any sickness in your body. It's greater than any lack in your finances. It's greater than any fear in your mind. It's greater than any attack of the enemy. 

 Romans 8:2 says, "For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, hath made me free from the law of sin and death." The spirit of life, eternal life, operates as a law, a governing force that overrides the law of sin and death. That means sickness, poverty,  fear, and bondage have no legal right to dominate you because the law of life is stronger than the law of death. But you have to know this. You have to believe this. And you have to act on this because eternal life does not force itself on your circumstances. 

 It flows through faith. It's released through your confession. It's activated by your obedience to the Word of God. 

 This is why so many believers live defeated lives. Even though they have eternal life dwelling in them, they've never learned how to tap into it. 

They've never learned how to release it. 

They've only treated it as a ticket to heaven instead of a weapon for earth. 

Let's talk about what eternal life does in the believer who understands it. 

1. ¶First, eternal life produces righteousness consciousness. When you understand that the very nature of God is in you, you stop seeing yourself as a sinner saved by grace and start seeing yourself as a righteous child of God. Not self-righteousness,  only God righteousness, the righteousness that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. 

Romans 5:17 says, "For if by one man's offense, death reigned by one, much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." 

That is your faith in reality, here and now. 

You're not just forgiven, you're made righteous.

And that righteousness is part of the eternal life package.

"Righteousness is the nature of God. When eternal life comes into us, righteousness comes with it." 

Think about that. 

You do not have to work to become righteous. You already are righteous because the life of God, which is inherently righteous, is your life. 

This truth alone will revolutionize the way you approach God. 

You'lI stop coming to HIM as a beggar, hoping He will tolerate you. You'll start coming to HIM as His son or daughter, confident in your standing, bold in your access, and expectant of His favor. 

2. ¶Second, eternal life produces divine health. 

This is one of the most neglected aspects of eternal life. 

The life of God is a healing life. It is a life that resists sickness, disease, and infirmity. 

Romans 8:11 says, "But if the Spirit of HIM that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead dwell in you, HE that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you." The word quicken means to make alive, to energize, to vitalize. 

 The same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in you. And His job is to bring Life to your physical body. 

That is not a future promise. 

That is a present reality. 

When you're sick, the problem is not that God is withholding healing. 

The problem is that you're not tapping into the Life that is already inside you. 

Eternal life is flowing through your spirit, but it is not flowing into your body because you haven't released it through faith. You haven't spoken to that sickness. You haven't commanded it to leave. You haven't declared the Word of God over your body. And so the sickness remains, not because it is God's  will, but because you haven't enforced the victory that eternal life has already provided. 

3. ¶Third, eternal life produces victory over sin. One of the greatest struggles for believers is dealing with habitual sin, recurring temptation, and patterns of defeat. 

But eternal life changes everything. 1 John 3:9 says, "Whosoever is born of God do not commit sin, for his seed remainth in him, and he cannot sin because he is born of God." 

🗣️ Speak, "I am born of God, I do not commit sin, for God's seed remains in me, and I cannot sin because I am born of God."

Now, this does not mean believers are sinless. It means that the new creation, the spirit man, cannot sin because it is been recreated in the image of God. 

Your spirit is not struggling with sin. Your spirit is holy, righteous, and pure because it's been infused with eternal life. 

The struggle happens in your soul, your mind, and your body. 

But as you renew your mind to the truth of who you are in Christ, as you feed your spirit on the Word of God,  and as you walk in the spirit, the eternal life in your spirit begins to dominate your soul and body. You start walking in victory not because you're trying harder but because the life of God is taking over. 

 "The believer who knows the reality of the new creation will not be a slave to sin." 

That is the power of understanding eternal life. 

4. ¶Fourth, eternal life produces authority over the enemy. 

Satan has no power over eternal life. He has no answer for it. He can't touch it. He can't corrupt it. He can't defeat it. 

And when you understand that eternal life is your life, you realize that the enemy has no power over you either. 1 John 4:4 says,"Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. 

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

The eternal life dwelling in you is greater than any demonic force, any attack, any strategy of the enemy. 

You don't have to beg God to protect you. You have authority to resist the devil and he will flee from you as James 4:7  promises. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:7 instructs believers to submit to God and resist the devil, promising that he will flee from them. This verse emphasizes the importance of humility and standing firm against temptation.

But again, this authority does not operate automatically. It operates through faith. 

It operates through your confession. 🗣️ 

It operates through your understanding of who you are in Christ. 

  When you know that eternal life is in you, when you know that you carry the very nature of God,   when you know that you've been raised up with Christ and seated with HIM in heavenly places, you stop living in fear. 

You stop living defensively. 

You start enforcing the victory that Jesus Christ won. 

You start commanding demons to leave. 

You start breaking bondages. 

You start walking in the authority that eternal life provides. 

Now let's address why this truth has been so hidden. Why have so few believers understood the true nature of eternal life? 

The answer is simple. Because if believers understood it, they would be unstoppable. 

They would walk in such power, such authority, such confidence that the kingdom of darkness would suffer massive losses. And so the enemy has worked overtime to keep this truth buried under layers of religious tradition, theological confusion, and passive Christianity. 

The devil has convinced believers that eternal life is just about going to heaven someday. And in doing so, he's robbed them of the power they were meant to walk in today. 

You understand this. 

"The tragedy of the modern church is that it does not know what it has in Christ. Believers are sitting on a gold mine of spiritual resources. Eternal life being the most powerful of them all. And they don't even know it's there. They're living like paupers when they're actually heirs of God and joint heir with Christ. And all it takes is a revelation of the truth to change everything. 

So what do you do with this knowledge? 

How do you begin to walk in the reality of eternal   life? 

¶First, you renew your mind to the truth of who you are. Stop seeing yourself as just a human being who happens to be saved. Start seeing yourself as a new creation, a child of God, a carrier of the divine nature. 

Meditate on scriptures like 2 Peter 1:4, which says you're a partaker of the divine nature. 

 🗣️: I am partaker of the divine nature of my Father in heaven, here and now. 

Meditate on John 1:12, which says, "You have the power to become the sons of God." 

🗣️: I have the power to become the son of God .

🗣️: I have the power to become the daughter of God. 

Let these truths sink into your spirit until they dominate your thinking. 

¶Second, start speaking in agreement with eternal life. 

Your spoken words are powerful. 

Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue. "

When you speak 🗣️ in agreement with eternal life, you release it into your circumstances. 

Declare that the life of God is in you.

🗣️: The Life of GOD is in me. 

 Declare that sickness has no place in your body. 

🗣️: Sickness has no power in my body. 

 Declare that fear has no hold on your mind.

🗣️: Fear has no hold on my mind.

 Declare that poverty has no authority over your finances. 

🗣️: Poverty has no authority over my finances.

Speak the Word of God over your life. 🗣️: I speak the Word of Gid over my life now. 

And watch how eternal life begins to manifest in tangible ways. 

¶Third, walk in obedience to the Word. Eternal life flows through faith. And faith without works is dead. 

 When the Word tells you to do something, do it. When the Holy Spirit prompts you to step out in boldness, step out. 

Do not let fear, doubt, or unbelief hold you back. 

The more you act on the Word, the more you'"ll experience the reality of eternal life in your daily walk. 

And as you do, you'll start to see miracles,  breakthroughs, and victories that you never thought possible. 

Let me paint a picture for you. Imagine a river flowing with pure crystal clear water. That river represents eternal life. It is constantly flowing, constantly moving, constantly bringing life to everything it touches. Now imagine a dam blocking that river, preventing the water from flowing. That dam represents unbelief, ignorance, and passivity. The river , eternal life,  is still there. The water is still flowing, but it is not reaching the land that needs it. 

The moment you remove the dam, the moment you release faith and start acting on the Word, that river floods your life. 

 Healing flows, provision flows, peace flows, victory flows. Not because you earned it, but because you released what was already there. 

This is the shocking truth about eternal life. 

It is not a future hope. 

It is a present reality. 

It is not a vague concept. 

It is a tangible force. 

It is not something you're trying to get. 

It is something you already have. 

And the moment you understand that, the moment you believe that, the moment you act on that, everything in your life begins to shift. 

You stop striving and start resting. 

You stop begging and start declaring. 

You stop surviving and start thriving. 

Because eternal life is not just about living forever. It is about living victoriously, powerfully, and abundantly right now. Said it.  

🗣️ We have eternal life now. 

Eternal life is not something we are going to get when we die, sleep in Christ . 

Eternal life is a present possession and Eternal life is the mightiest force in the universe. 

That power is in you. That power is yours. That victory is assured. 

All you have to do is believe it, confess it, and walk in it. And when you do, you'll discover that the Christian life, here and now,  is not a burden.

 It is not a struggle. It is a glorious adventure of walking in the very life of God, with God, in God's Word. But there's more. 

Because once you understand the nature of eternal life, the next question becomes, how do you stand when everything around you is falling apart? 

How do you remain unshaken when the storms of life rage? 

How do you maintain your victory when the enemy launches his most intense attacks? 

The answer lies in understanding a principle that most Christians have never been taught. 

It is a principle that Jesus Christ himself spoke about. A principle that apostle Paul reinforced and a principle that will determine whether you stand or fall in the battles ahead.

 The Dangerous Prayer That Hands Your Authority Back to Satan

Here is to reveal how a single, well-intentioned prayer has quietly trained believers to surrender authority back to the enemy instead of exercise it. This message exposes a subtle religious habit that sounds humble but produces powerlessness, and sets the stage for a decisive shift from hesitant asking to confident, faith-filled agreement with what God has already spoken. You do not know what you don't know.  There's a prayer that millions of Christians pray every single day. They think they're being humble. They think they're submitting to God. They think they're showing faith. 

But what they're actually doing is handing their authority right back to Satan. 

They're abdicating the dominion Jesus Christ restored to them. 

They're rejecting the power God gave them to rule over circumstances. 

And they're doing it with the most well-intentioned religious sounding words you can imagine. This prayer has been taught in churches for generations. 

 It's considered the ultimate expression of surrender. But it's actually the ultimate expression of unbelief. And until you understand why this prayer is so dangerous, why it contradicts everything scripture teaches about your authority in Christ, you'll continue living in defeat while claiming you're  being spiritual.

   You'"lI keep accepting bondage while thinking you're trusting God. And you'll remain powerless when God created you to walk in dominion.

  This is not about attacking sincere believers. This is about exposing a prayer that sounds right but produces wrong results. 

A prayer that appears humble but actually denies what Christ accomplished. 

A prayer that seems spiritual but strips you of the very authority Jesus died to give you. 

  And once you see what this prayer actually does, once you understand how it undermines your faith and hands your dominion back to the enemy, you'll never  pray it again because you'll realize that true faith does not abdicate authority. True faith exercises it. 

  Today, we're going to identify this dangerous prayer. We're going to show you why it is so destructive even though it sounds spiritual. 

  We're going to expose the theology that produced it and why that theology contradicts scripture. 

  And we're going to give you the biblical alternative that actually releases God's power instead of blocking it. This is one of the most important truths you'll ever learn about prayer. And once you grasp it, your entire approach to talking with God will change. 

The dangerous prayer is this. 

"If it be your will." Those five words tacked onto the end of your prayers seem humble. They seem like you're surrendering to God's sovereignty. 

But what they actually reveal is doubt about what God's will is. And doubt is the opposite of faith. 

  When you pray, "if it be your will,"  you're not demonstrating faith. 

You're demonstrating uncertainty about whether God wants to answer your prayer. 

And that uncertainty destroys your ability to receive. 

Let us look at what scripture actually says about God's will. 1 John 5:14-15 says, "And this is the confidence that we have in HIM. That if we ask anything according to His will, he heareth us. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of  him." 

Notice apostle John says we can have confidence. 

We can know God hears us. 

We can know we have what we asked for. 

But that confidence is based on asking according to His will. 

So the question is not whether it's God's will. The question is whether you know what His will is. 

And here's the revelation. 

 God's will is revealed in His Word. 

When you pray for healing, you don't need to say "if it be your will" because God already revealed His will in 1 Peter 2:24 which says by whose stripes ye were healed. 

When you pray for provision, you do not need to say "if it be your will" because God already revealed His will in Philippians 4:19, which says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." 

 When you pray for peace, you don't need to say, "If it be your will," because Jesus Christ already said in John 14:27, "Peace  I leave with you. My peace I give unto you." 

God's will is not mysterious when you're praying according to His Word. 

   His will is clearly revealed in scripture. And when you know His will, you do not pray " if it be your will." 

You pray with confidence, knowing that what you're asking aligns with what he's already promised. Do you now understood this revelation with profound clarity.?

"The prayer, if it be your will, is not faith. It is doubt disguised as humility. In fact, that is false humility. 

 When you know what God has promised in His Word, you do not pray if it be your will, but you pray thank you that it is your will and thank you that I receive it now. 

The believer who understands God's Word does not question whether God wants to heal them,  provide for them, or deliver them. They know it is His will because he said so, and they pray accordingly. That's the key. 

When you know God's will from His Word, you pray in faith, not in doubt.

     Now, let's look at why this prayer is so dangerous. 

1. ¶First, it undermines your faith. 

Hebrews 11:6 says, "But without faith, it is impossible to please HIM. For he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." 

   Faith believes God is, and that he rewards those who seek him. But when you pray, if it be your will, you're not believing he rewards. 

  You're questioning whether he even wants to. And that questioning is the opposite of the faith that pleases God. 

  Think about it this way. If your child came to you and said, "Dad, if you want to, could you maybe possibly give me dinner tonight?" 

You'd wonder why they're questioning your willingness to feed them. You fed them every day of their life. you provided for them consistently and yet they're approaching you with doubt about whether you want to meet their basic need. That doubt would grieve you because it reveals they don't really know your heart as a father. 

That's what happens when you pray if it be your will for things God has already promised. You're questioning his heart. 

You're doubting His goodness. You're treating His promises as uncertain when he's already declared them certain. And that doubt grieves the Holy Spirit because it reveals you do not really know what God has said in His Word. 

2. ¶Second, this prayer hands your authority back to Satan. When you pray, if it be your will, you're abdicating the authority Jesus gave you to command circumstances. 

     You're treating yourself as a beggar, hoping God might help instead of a child of God who has legal rights based on covenant promises. 

 And when you abdicate your authority, when you refuse to exercise the dominion Jesus Christ restored to you, you're essentially handing that authority back to the enemy. 

  Let me explain. Jesus Christ gave you authority in Luke 10:19, saying, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 

You have authority over all the power of the enemy, but authority must be exercised. And when you pray, if it be your will, you're not exercising authority. You're deferring to circumstances, accepting defeat, and hoping God might intervene. 

That is not how authority works. 

Authority speaks. 

Authority commands. 

Authority declares what God has already said and enforces it in the situation. 

 When you pray, if it be your will, you're praying like someone who does not know they have authority. And when you do not exercise the authority you have, the enemy continues to operate unchallenged. 

 You've essentially given him permission to continue his attack because you're not standing in the authority Jesus Christ gave you to stop it. 

 The believer who prays, if it be your will, has never understood their position in Christ. They're still thinking like a slave, hoping the master might be merciful instead of thinking like a son  who knows their Father's heart and their own rights as an heir. 

  And until they understand their position, until they know what belongs to them through Christ, they will continue praying prayers of doubt instead of prayers of faith. That's the tragedy. Believers with authority praying like they have none. 

3. ¶Third, this prayer ignores what Jesus Christ actually taught about prayer. 

 Jesus Christ never prayed "if it be your will." 

 When he was exercising faith for miracles, he commanded the leper to be clean in Matthew 8:3. 

He commanded the storm to cease in Mark 4:39. 

 He commanded Lazarus to come forth in John 11: 43. 

He did not ask if it was God's will. He knew it was God's will because he knew the Father's heart. And he acted in that knowledge with complete authority. 

The only time Jesus Christ prayed if it be possible was in Gethsemane in Matthew 26:39 when he said, "Oh my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt." But that was not a prayer of doubt. 

 That was Jesus Christ submitting to the specific plan of redemption that required him to go to the cross. He wasn't questioning whether God wanted to help him. He was submitting to the Father's predetermined plan for humanity's salvation.

   That's completely different from a believer praying if it be your will about things God has already promised in His Word. 

 Jesus Christ taught his disciples to pray with authority. 

In Mark 11:23-24, he said, "For verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.   Therefore I say unto you, what things soever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." 

Notice he said, "Believe you receive." Not hope God might give. Not question if it's his will. 

 Believe you receive. That is faith. That is how Jesus  taught believers to pray. 

  Now, let's address the objection. People say, "But isn't praying, if it be your will, showing submission to God?" No. 

Submission to God is obeying His Word. 

 Submission is aligning your will with His revealed will in scripture. 

 Submission is saying,"God, you said it in your Word, so I believe it and I receive it." That's submission. 

But questioning whether God wants to do what he's already promised is not submission. It's unbelief. 

True submission looks like this. You find a promise in God's Word. You align your heart with that  promise, and you pray in faith, thanking God that His will is already revealed and claiming what he's already provided. 

 That's submission to God's word. That's faith that pleases God. And that's the kind of prayer that receives answers. 

So what should you pray instead? You pray according to God's Word with confidence. 

When you need healing, you do not pray, "God, if it be your will, heal me." You pray, "Father, thank you that by the stripes of Jesus, I was healed."  according to 1 Peter 2:24.  I receive my healing now in Jesus' name.  See the difference? 

One is begging with doubt. The other is claiming with faith. 

 One questions God's will. The other declares it based on His Word. 

When you need provision, you don't pray, "God, if it be your will, provide for me." You pray, "Father, thank you that you supply all my needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:19. I receive your provision now." 

 You're not questioning, you're believing; you're not hoping, you're knowing;  you're not abdicating authority, you're exercising it based on God's Word. 

 When you're facing a spiritual attack, you don't pray, "God if it be your will,  deliver me."  You exercise your authority. You say, "Satan, I resist you in Jesus' name. I have authority over all your power according to Luke 10:19.  I command you to leave now." 

You're not asking God to do what he's already empowered you to do. You're doing it in the authority he gave you. 

 "The difference between powerless Christianity and powerful Christianity is understanding what belongs to you and acting on it. 

The powerless believer prays if it be your will and hopes God might answer." 

The powerful believer knows God's will from His Word and prays accordingly with absolute confidence. 

   One produces doubt and defeat. The other produces faith and victory. That's the distinction. 

Know God's will. Pray according to it. Receive it by faith. 

  Now, I need to clarify something important. There are situations where you genuinely do not know God's specific will. 

For example, if you're deciding between two job offers and both seem good, you might pray, "Lord, guide me to the right choice." That's not the same  as praying, if it be your will, about something God has already promised. that is seeking wisdom for a specific decision. 

And  apostle James 1:5 says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

 So for decisions where God hasn't given a specific promise, you ask for wisdom and trust His guidance. But for things God has already promised in His Word, healing, provision, peace, joy,    strength, deliverance, you do not need to question His will. His will is settled. It's written. And you pray accordingly with faith. 

  Here's the practical application. Starting today, stop praying 'if it be your will' for things God has already promised. 

Instead, find the scripture that reveals God's will on that topic. Meditate on it until you believe it and then pray in faith, thanking God that His will is done and receiving what he's promised. 

This shifts you from begging to believing, from hoping to knowing, from doubt to faith. 

For example, if you're praying for a loved one's salvation, you don't pray, "God, if it be your will, save them." You pray based on 2 Peter 3:9, which says, "God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." You pray, "Father, your will is that my loved one comes to repentance. I stand in faith believing you're drawing them to yourself. I thank you that they will be saved because it is your will and your Word declares it." 

If you're praying about fear, you don't pray, "God, if it be your will, give me peace." 

You pray based on 2 Timothy 1:7 which says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

 You pray,  "Father, fear is not from you. I reject it. I receive the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind that you've given me. I walk in peace because it's your will, and I claim it." 

Now, do you see how different that is? 

One approach questions God's will and prays in doubt. 

 The other declares God's will based on His Word and prays in faith. 

And faith is what moves God's hand. 

Faith is what receives from God. 

Faith is what produces results. 

When believers finally understand that God's will is revealed in His Word and that faith claims what God has already promised, everything changes.

 They stop begging and start believing. 

They stop hoping and start knowing. 

They stop accepting defeat and start exercising   dominion. 

And the Christian life becomes what God intended. A demonstration of His power flowing through people who  know who they are and what belongs to them.

 That's the goal. To know God's will so clearly that you pray with absolute confidence. 

So here's the question. Have you been praying ' if it be your will' for things God has already promised? 

Have you been questioning His willingness when he's already declared His will in scripture? 

Have you been abdicating your authority when Jesus Christ gave you power to command circumstances? 

 If so, today is the day to stop. Today is the day to align your prayers with God's Word. Today is the day to pray in  faith instead of doubt. 

Stop handing your authority back to Satan through prayers of unbelief. 

 Stop treating God's promises as uncertain when he's declared them absolute. 

Stop living like a beggar when you're a child of the King with legal rights to everything Christ purchased for you. 

Know God's will. Pray according to it. Believe you receive and watch as your prayers shift from powerless pleading to powerful declarations that produce results. 

  But there is one more element of prayer that most Christians have completely abandoned. 

 It is not just what you pray,  it is how you speak. 

There's a practice that was common in the early church that the apostles demonstrated constantly and that releases power when combined with faith filled prayer. It's the practice of bold confession. Speaking God's Word out  loud. Declaring His promises over your life. And using your voice as a weapon of spiritual warfare.

Understand Dominion Over Circumstances

 We're going to expose the lies that keep believers living in defeat.

Why Most Christians Don't Understand Dominion Over Circumstances.

These biblical teachings reveal why so many believers live overwhelmed by pressure, opposition, and adversity, even though Scripture declares they were created to rule, not endure. This message exposes the missing understanding that keeps Christians reacting instead of reigning, and sets the stage for a shift from surviving circumstances to standing in authority over them. 

Receive the revelation of the Word.  

You were given authority over every circumstance in your life, but you've been living under your circumstances instead of over them. 

You pray about problems instead of commanding them.

 You accept defeat as God's will instead of recognizing it as the enemy's attack. 

You live dominated by sickness, lack, fear, and chaos when God created you to dominate, to rule, to exercise authority over everything that tries to control you. And the reason you're living this way is not because you lack power. 

You have the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead living in you, according to Romans 8:11. 

The reason you're living in defeat is because you do not understand dominion. 

You do not know what authority you possess. 

You do not comprehend that God never intended for you to be a victim of your circumstances, but be a master over them. 

And until you grasp this truth, until you see what God gave you at creation, lost at the fall and 1:01 restored through Christ, you'll continue accepting bondage when you were created for dominion. This is not just about positive thinking or trying harder. 

   This is about understanding your God-given position and learning to exercise the authority that belongs to you as a new creation in Christ. 

Because most Christians have been taught to endure their circumstances, to submit to whatever comes their way, to accept sickness and poverty and defeat as God's mysterious will. But that is not what scripture teaches. 

Scripture teaches that you were created to have dominion. 

That dominion was stolen by Satan. 

That Jesus Christ won it back. and that when you were born again, you were restored to the position of authority first Adam had before the fall. 

You are not a victim. 

You are not powerless. 

You are not at the mercy of circumstances. 

You have dominion, and it' is time you learned how to use it. 

Today, we're going to uncover what the Bible actually says about dominion. We're going to show you why most Christians never walk in this   authority even though it belongs to them. 

We're going to expose the lies that keep believers living in defeat. 

And we're going to give you the biblical keys to exercising dominion over every circumstance that tries to control your life.

This is the truth that will set you free. This is the revelation that changes everything. And once you see it, you'll never accept defeat the same way again. 

Let's start at the beginning. 

Genesis 1:26-28 says, "And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created he him. Male and female created he them. And God blessed them.  And God said unto them, "Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion." 

Notice the repeated emphasis. Dominion, subdue,  rule. God created humanity to have authority over creation, not to be controlled by it, not to be victims of it, but to exercise dominion over it. 

 This was humanity's original design. First Adam was given dominion over the earth. 

He was to rule, to manage, to exercise authority under God's sovereignty. And as long as Adam remained in fellowship with God, as long as he operated under God's authority, he had complete dominion over everything in his realm. 

Sickness couldn't touch him. Lack didn't exist. Fear had no place. Chaos was subdued because Adam was ruling from his position of dominion that God had given him. But then came the falI. 

Genesis chapter 3 records how Satan through deception convinced Adam and Eve to rebel against God's authority. And the moment they sinned, they forfeited their dominion. 

They handed their authority over to Satan. And from that point forward, humanity lived under the domination of the enemy instead of in the dominion God intended. 

 This is why the world is full of sickness, poverty, chaos, and death. Not because God designed it that way, but because humanity lost dominion and Satan usurped authority over the earth. 

Now you understood this with stunning clarity. The tragedy of the fall was not just that man sinned. The tragedy was that man lost his dominion. 

Originally, Man was created to rule in the Garden of Eden, but sin made him a slave. 

He was designed to have authority, but rebellion stripped him of that authority and gave it to the enemy. 

And from that day until Jesus Christ came,  humanity lived under Satan's dominion instead of exercising the dominion God originally gave them. That's the reality. 

Sin didn't just separate humanity from God. It stripped humanity of authority and gave that authority to the enemy. But here's the good news. 

Jesus  Christ came to restore what the first Adam lost. 

Luke 4:18 records Jesus Christ saying, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised." 

Jesus Christ came to deliver, to restore, to set free. And part of that restoration was giving back the dominion  that Adam forfeited. 

This is exactly what Jesus Christ did throughout His earthly ministry. 

He exercised dominion over sickness and people were healed. 

He exercised dominion over demons and they fled. 

He exercised dominion over nature and storms obeyed him. He exercised dominion over death and the dead were raised. Jesus was demonstrating the   dominion that God originally gave to humanity. And then after his resurrection, he gave that authority to his followers. 

Matthew 28:18-19 records Jesus saying, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost." And the revelation of the truth is here in Acts 2:38, Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? 

 Jesus Christ has all authority and he's sending his disciples to operate in that authority. This is not just for the 12 immediate disciples. 

 This is for every believer, here and now . When you were born again, you were restored to the position of dominion that first Adam had before the fall. 

You have authority, not because you're special, but because Christ lives in you, and His authority is your authority. 

Now let us look at why most Christians never walk in this dominion. 

¶The first reason is they don't understand what happened at salvation.  They think salvation is just forgiveness of sins and a ticket to heaven when they die. And while those things are true, salvation  is so much more. 

Salvation is restoration. It is being recreated in Christ. It is receiving everything Adam lost. 

And one of the things Adam lost was dominion, which means one of the things you received when you were born again is dominion. 

Colossians 1:13 says, "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son?" 

You've been delivered from Satan's dominion and placed into Christ's kingdom. 

You're no longer under the enemy's authority. 

You're under Christ's authority. And in Christ's kingdom, you have dominion. You have authority to rule over the circumstances that try to rule you. 

But if you do not know this, if you've never been taught that salvation includes restoration of dominion, you'll live like a slave even though you've been made a king. 

¶Second, Christians do not walk in dominion because they've been taught to be passive. 

They've been taught that whatever happens is God's will and they should just accept it. 

They've been taught that exercising authority is presumptuous, that commanding circumstances is arrogant, that speaking to problems is unbiblical. 

And so they endure sickness when they have authority to command it to leave. 

They accept poverty when they have authority to speak provision into their situation. 

They live in fear when they have authority to cast out the spirit of fear. 

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. 2 Timothy 1:7

They've been trained to be passive victims instead of active rulers. But that's not what Jesus Christ taught. 

Jesus Christ said in Mark 11:23, "For verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass. He shall have whatsoever he saith. "

Jesus Christ did not say pray about the mountain. He said speak to the mountain. Command it. Exercise dominion over it. 

 And if you believe what you're saying, the mountain will obey. This is dominion. 

This is exercising authority. 

And it is not arrogant. It is faith. 

It is believing that the authority Jesus Christ gave you is real and acting on it. This is the spiritual realty. 

But most churchgoers have been so conditioned by the system to be passive that they're afraid to exercise the authority that belongs to them. 

And so they live defeated lives while possessing the very power that could set them free.

Today, the modern church has produced a generation of believers who know they're saved, but do not know they have authority. In Christ.

They know they're going to heaven, but don't know they have dominion on earth, here and now. 

They know Jesus Christ died for them, but do not know he restored to them everything Adam lost. And because they do not know these things, they live far below their privileges. 

They accept defeat when they have authority to command victory. 

They tolerate bondage when they have power to enforce freedom. 

That is the tragedy. Not that believers do not have authority, but that they do not know they have it and therefore they never use it. 

¶Third, Christians do not walk in dominion because they do not understand how authority works. 

 They think authority is about being loud or forceful or trying to manipulate spiritual laws. But authority is not about volume. It is about position. They are not taught of their position in Christ Jesus, seated in heavenly places with the Father. 

A policeman does not have to scream at traffic to make it stop. He simply raises his hand because he has the legal authority of the law behind him. And traffic stops not because of his personal strength, but because of his position. 

That is how spiritual authority works. 

When you command sickness to leave, you're not doing it in your own strength. You're doing it in the authority of Jesus' name. 

When you speak to a circumstance, you're not relying on your ability. You're exercising the dominion that Christ restored to you. 

And the spiritual realm responds not because you're powerful, but because Christ in you is powerful, and you're operating in His authority. 

This is why Jesus Christ told His disciples in Luke 10:19,  "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing  shall by any means hurt you." 

Jesus Christ gave them power over all the power of the enemy. Not some of it, all of it. 

And that same authority has been given to every believer. 

You have authority over sickness. 

You have authority over demonic attack. 

You have authority over circumstances that try to dominate you. 

 But authority must be exercised. It does not work automatically. 

You have to speak. 

You have to command. 

You have to act in faith on the authority Jesus Christ gave you. 

Now, let's get practical. How do you actually exercise dominion over circumstances? 

1. ¶First, you have to know what belongs to you. You can't exercise authority over something if you do not know you have authority over it. 

So, you study the Word. 

You apply the Word. 

You eat the Word. 

 You find out what Jesus Christ purchased for you. You discover what is included in your salvation. 

And when you know what belongs to you, you can stand on it with confidence. 

For example, healing belongs to you. First Peter 2:24 says, "By whose stripes ye were healed, past tense,  already done." So when sickness attacks your body, you do not beg God to heal you. You exercise your dominion. You speak to that sickness. You command it to leave your body in Jesus' name. So be it.  You're not hoping God might heal you. You're enforcing the healing that's already yours through the authority Jesus Christ gave you. 

Provision belongs to you.  Philippians 4:19 says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." So when you're facing lack, you do not panic. You exercise dominion. You speak God's Word over your situation. You  declare His provision. You thank HIM that your needs are met.

 You're not begging. You're ruling. You're exercising dominion over the  circumstances that are trying to dominate you. 

2. ¶Second, you have to speak to your circumstances.  James 3: verses 2 to 4  talks about how a small rudder controls a large ship and how the tongue controls your life. Your words have power. Not because words themselves are magic, but because words spoken in faith, backed by the Word of God, and rooted in the authority Jesus Christ gave you release spiritual force. 

When you speak to a mountain and do not doubt, the mountain moves. 

When you command a storm and believe what you're saying, the storm obeys, not because of your eloquence, but because you're exercising the dominion God restored to you. 

This is what Jesus Christ did constantly. He spoke to fever and it left. He spoke to demons and they fled. He spoke to a storm and it became calm. He spoke to a fig tree and it withered. He was exercising dominion through His words. And then he told his disciples to do the same thing. 

Jesus Christ said in Mark 11:23, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, say, speak, command, exercise dominion through your words." 

  The believer who understands dominion is not passive in the face of circumstances. They do not pray about problems and hope God will fix them. They speak to problems in the authority of Jesus' name and command them to align with the Word of God. 

They do not beg for healing. They command sickness to leave. 

They do not plead for provision. They declare God's Word over their finances and expect it to manifest. 

This is not presumption. This is faith. This is exercising the dominion that Jesus Christ restored. That is the difference.

 Passive believers pray about circumstances. Believers who understand dominion command circumstances. 

3. ¶Third, you have to refuse to be dominated. Dominion means you're ruling, not being ruled. 

 So when fear tries to grip you, you do not accept it. You reject it. You speak peace over your mind and refuse to let fear dominate you. 

 When sickness attacks, you do not resign yourself to it. You resist it. You speak healing over your body and refuse to let that sickness dominate you. 

  When the enemy tries to steal your joy, you do not surrender. You resist. You fight. You speak the joy of the Lord over your spirit and refuse to let the enemy dominate your emotions. 

This is what it means to exercise dominion. You're not a victim. You're not helpless. You're not at the mercy of whatever comes your way. 

 You have authority. And when something tries to dominate you, you rise up in the authority Jesus Christ gave you and you command it to stop. 

4. ¶Fourth, you have to think with God and stay in fellowship with God. Adam had dominion as long as he remained in fellowship with God. The moment he sinned, he lost that dominion. 

  And the same principle applies to you. Your authority flows from your relationship with God. When you're walking in obedience, when you're maintaining fellowship through confession and repentance, when you're staying in the Word and in prayer, your authority is strong. 

 But when you're living in sin,  when you unbelief, when you're ignoring God's voice, when you're walking in disobedience, your authority is undermined. 

This does not mean you have to be perfect, but it means you have to be intentional about maintaining your relationship with God. 

Because dominion is not independent of God. It is exercised under God's authority. And when you're submitted to HIM, when you're thinking with HIM, when you're walking with HIM, His authority flows through you and you can exercise dominion over every circumstance. 

Now, let's address the objections. People say, "But doesn't God allow trials to teach us?"

 Yes, God allows trials, but he never intended for you to be dominated by those trials. He intended for you to rule over them. 

James 1: verses 2 to 3 says, "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into diverse temptations."  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 

Notice it says when you fall into trials, not if God  sends trials, trials come. But God expects you to exercise faith through those trials, not to be crushed by them. 

 And part of exercising faith is exercising the dominion he gave you to overcome what is trying to overcome you. 

 People also say, "But what about Paul's thorn in the flesh? Didn't God say no to Paul?" We've addressed this before, but let us be clear.  Apostle Paul's thorn was not a sickness God refused to heal. It was a messenger of Satan to buffet him according to 2 Corinthians 12:7. And God's response was not, "No, it was my grace is sufficient for thee." In other words, you have everything you need to deal with this. That's not God denying Paul's request. That's God reminding Paul of the authority and grace he already possesses. 

The point is this. God never intended for you to live defeated. He intended for you to exercise dominion. 

 And when you understand that, when you grasp the authority that's yours in Christ, when you learn to speak to circumstances instead of being controlled by them, everything changes. 

You stop accepting defeat as normal. 

You stop tolerating bondage as God's will. 

You start ruling. 

You start exercising the dominion that Jesus Christ restored to you when he made you a new creation.

Listen well. The tragedy of the modern church is believers living like beggars when they're seated with Christ in heavenly places.

According to Ephesians 2:6,  they have authority. They have dominion. They have power, but they do not know it. 

Ephesians 2:6 states that God raised believers up with Christ and seated them with Him in the heavenly realms because they are united with Christ Jesus. This verse emphasizes the spiritual transformation and exalted position of believers in Christ.

 And because they do not know it, they live defeated lives while possessing everything they need to live in victory.

That's the truth. You have dominion. 

The question is whether you're going to exercise it. 

So here's the question. 

Are you exercising dominion over your circumstances or are you being dominated by them? 

Are you speaking to your problems or are you just complaining about them? 

Are you commanding sickness to leave or are you accepting it as something you have to live with? 

Are you ruling over lack or are you being controlled by financial pressure? 

Because you were created for dominion. 

 You were restored to dominion through Christ. And it's time you started living like it. 

Stop accepting defeat. 

Stop tolerating bondage. 

Stop living under circumstances that Christ gave you authority to rule over. 

You have  dominion. Exercise it. Speak to the mountain. Command the storm. 

Declare God's Word over your situation. And watch as the circumstances that have been controlling you  submit to the authority of Christ flowing through you. 

    This is not arrogance. This is faith. 

    This is walking in what belongs to you as a child of God. 

  But there's one thing that can instantly strip you of this authority. One prayer, one phrase, one mindset that hands your dominion right back to Satan without you even realizing it. 

Most Christians pray this prayer regularly. They think they're being humble. They think they're submitting to God. But what they're actually doing is abdicating the authority Jesus Christ gave them and giving it back to the enemy.
