AT THE END OF THIS YEAR

 At the end of this year, 

I pause and breathe 

Looking back 

at where You carried me

There were moments 

of joy and tears 

But Your faithful hand 

was always near 

Some prayers answered, some still wait 

Some lessons learned through grace

Every step, every season 

You were never far away

At the end of this year, I give You thanks 

For every road, for every change

Through the highs and through the pain 

You were shaping who I am 

At the end of this year, I still believe 

You are God who's faithful endlessly 

Yesterday, today, the same 

    Forever You remain. 

There were doors that did not open 

   There were dreams I had to lay down 

Still I learned to trust You deeper 

 Even when I didn't understand

In the silence, in the waiting 

     You were working in my heart 

Every moment held a purpose 

                 Nothing ever fell apart 

At the end of this year, I give You thanks 

   For every road, for every change 

Through the highs and through the pain 

   You were shaping who I am 

At the end of this year, I still believe 

  You are God who's faithful endlessly 

Yesterday, today, the same 

   Forever You remain

I place my future in Your hands

           All my hope, all my plans 

Whatever comes, I will trust 

   Your love is more than enough 

At the end of this year, I choose to stand 

    With a grateful heart and lifted hands 

I step into tomorrow 

     Trusting You once more.

For walking with me through this year
