ANTIBIOTICS

"Farm animals get 80 percent of antibiotics sold in the United States." -- WIRED

WHILE WE ARE ON THE SUBJECT OF YOUNG PEOPLE's health, I want to touch on the connection between antibiotics and eating animals meat. If you're a parent, you're probably aware that over the last decade (2006 to 2016) or so doctors have become very concerned about the dangers posed by overexposure to antibiotics.

Back in the day, antibiotics were like aspirin -- doctors would prescribe them for almost anything.
Your child has an ear infection? Give him/her an antibiotic.
Your kid has a sinus infection? Let's try an antibiotic.

Today, those attitudes have changed dramatically. We know the more antibiotics someone takes, the more resistance they'll build up to them, so that when you really need antibiotics to kick in, they might not work.

There is growing fear that antibiotic-resistant "superbugs" will be one of the biggest crises humanity faces going forward. One new study even says superbugs could kill three hundred million (300 000 000) people by 2050 unless we slow down our intake of antibiotics and learn to use them more wisely. MRSA, which is an antibiotic-resistant staph infection, already kills ninety thousand (90,000) Americans every year, more than we lost to AIDS. [Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus  (MRSA) is a bacterium that causes infections in different parts of the body. It's tougher to treat than most strains of staphylococcus aureus -- or staph -- because it's resistant to some commonly used antibiotics. The symptoms of MRSA depend on where you're infected.]

Yet even as doctors become more selective with how they prescribe antibiotics, as a society we're not doing enough to address the biggest antibiotic consumers out there. And it is not kids with sore throats or adults with sinus infections.

It's factory farm animals.

The animals meat we humans eat are themselves consuming close to thirty million (30,000,000) pounds of antibiotics every year.

That takes place for a couple of reasons:
The first is that many factory farmers feed their animals proactively to keep them "healthy", so-called. A farmer with thirty thousand (30,000) chickens can't check each bird to see if it is getting sick. Using carpet-bombing method; Instead he just feeds all those birds antibiotics every day figuring that the sick ones will get the antibiotics they need.

Factory farmers also like antibiotics because they make animals gain weight faster. the more the animals weigh when they're slaughtered , the  more the factory farms get paid. Plus, Americans do not like lean meat. we like our meat fatty, or "marbled," as it is called in the meat industry. Giving animals antibiotics helps ensure they'll get nice and fat before they're killed.

Tellingly, there is no system that forces farmers to be selective with how they use antibiotics. if you or I needed antibiotics, we'd have to go to a doctor and get a prescription. The doctor would instruct us how much to take per dose and for how long. Not so for the chickens factories farm owners.

but if you owned a big chicken farm and you wanted to give your birds thirty thousand (30,000) pounds of antibiotics, there would be no need to go to a veterinarian for a prescription. The FDA recently suggested farmers do so, but ultimately that decision is "voluntary." You could go to a feed store and buy however much antibiotics for chickens you want. it is insane that drugs we regulate so closely in human consumption are essentially unregulated when it come to the animals we eat.

Antibiotics are not the only drugs you are unwittingly eating either. Did you know that chickens are fed Prozac? That is right, a study of commercial chicken meat by John Hopkins University found that many of the birds had been given Prozac, in addition to painkillers, antibiotics, and allergy medication. Why Prozac? because without an antidepressant, they might die from stress. Over crowing chicken farms are normal. That is how terrible the conditions they live in are.

It's crazy that so many people now still go out of their way to make sure they doesn't abuse antibiotics or needlessly take drugs like Prozac, but then unwittingly ingest those very same drug Prozac every day,  each time via the meat they eat. It might not be pleasant to think about, but you have to accept that every time your kid has a piece of steak or bite of chicken, they are likely consuming antibiotics, unintentionally.

The danger is that, over time, antibiotics won't be as effective on you or your child as they might be on someone who doesn't eat animal meat.

Your strep throat might take longer to go away. An infection might take longer time to heal. When you really need antibiotics to work, like when a superbug develops, a resistance could lead to death.

That might sound dramatic, but remember: You're not just what you eat. You're what you eat eats too. The chicken you're eating ate antibiotics and drugs too. and as long as you're eating the meat from animals that are fed antibiotics every day, you're going to be increasing the chances that you've built up a resistance to those drugs. Drugs that could very well one day mean the difference between bad sickness and good health. Or life and death.

How people can and do drink water themselves to death

Liquid H2O is the sine qua non of life. Making up about 66 percent of the human body, water runs through the blood, inhabits the cells, and lurks in the spaces between. At every moment water escapes the body through sweat, urination, defecation or exhaled breath, among other routes. Replacing these lost stores is essential but rehydration can be overdone. There is such a thing as a fatal water overdose.

Earlier this year 2007, a 28-year-old California woman died after competing in a radio station's on-air water-drinking contest. After downing some six liters of water in three hours in the "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" (Nintendo game console) contest, Jennifer Strange vomited, went home with a splitting headache, and died from so-called water intoxication.

There are many other tragic examples of death by water. In 2005 a fraternity hazing at California State University, Chico, left a 21-year-old man dead after he was forced to drink excessive amounts of water between rounds of push-ups in a cold basement. Club-goers taking MDMA ("ecstasy") have died after consuming copious amounts of water trying to rehydrate following long nights of dancing and sweating. Going overboard in attempts to rehydrate is also common among endurance athletes. A 2005 study in the New England Journal of Medicine found that close to one sixth of marathon runners develop some degree of hyponatremia, or dilution of the blood caused by drinking too much water.

Hyponatremia, a word cobbled together from Latin and Greek roots, translates as "insufficient salt in the blood." Quantitatively speaking, it means having a blood sodium concentration below 135 millimoles per liter, or approximately 0.4 ounces per gallon, the normal concentration lying somewhere between 135 and 145 millimoles per liter. Severe cases of hyponatremia can lead to water intoxication, an illness whose symptoms include headache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, frequent urination and mental disorientation.

In humans the kidneys control the amount of water, salts and other solutes leaving the body by sieving blood through their millions of twisted tubules. When a person drinks too much water in a short period of time, the kidneys cannot flush it out fast enough and the blood becomes waterlogged. Drawn to regions where the concentration of salt and other dissolved substances is higher, excess water leaves the blood and ultimately enters the cells, which swell like balloons to accommodate it.

Most cells have room to stretch because they are embedded in flexible tissues such as fat and muscle, but this is not the case for neurons. Brain cells are tightly packaged inside a rigid boney cage, the skull, and they have to share this space with blood and cerebrospinal fluid, explains Wolfgang Liedtke, a clinical neuroscientist at Duke University Medical Center. "Inside the skull there is almost zero room to expand and swell," he says.

Thus, brain edema, or swelling, can be disastrous. "Rapid and severe hyponatremia causes entry of water into brain cells leading to brain swelling, which manifests as seizures, coma, respiratory arrest, brain stem herniation and death," explains M. Amin Arnaout, chief of nephrology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

Where did people get the idea that guzzling enormous quantities of water is healthful? A few years ago Heinz Valtin, a kidney specialist from Dartmouth Medical School, decided to determine if the common advice to drink eight, eight-ounce glasses of water per day could hold up to scientific scrutiny. After scouring the peer-reviewed literature, Valtin concluded that no scientific studies support the "eight x eight" dictum (for healthy adults living in temperate climates and doing mild exercise). In fact, drinking this much or more "could be harmful, both in precipitating potentially dangerous hyponatremia and exposure to pollutants, and also in making many people feel guilty for not drinking enough," he wrote in his 2002 review for the American Journal of Physiology—Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology. And since he published his findings, Valtin says, "not a single scientific report published in a peer-reviewed publication has proven the contrary."

Most cases of water poisoning do not result from simply drinking too much water, says Joseph Verbalis, chairman of medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center. It is usually a combination of excessive fluid intake and increased secretion of vasopression (also called antidiuretic hormone), he explains. Produced by the hypothalamus and secreted into the bloodstream by the posterior pituitary gland, vasopressin instructs the kidneys to conserve water. Its secretion increases in periods of physical stress—during a marathon, for example—and may cause the body to conserve water even if a person is drinking excessive quantities.

Every hour, a healthy kidney at rest can excrete 800 to 1,000 milliliters, or 0.21 to 0.26 gallon, of water and therefore a person can drink water at a rate of 800 to 1,000 milliliters per hour without experiencing a net gain in water, Verbalis explains. If that same person is running a marathon, however, the stress of the situation will increase vasopressin levels, reducing the kidney's excretion capacity to as low as 100 milliliters per hour. Drinking 800 to 1,000 milliliters of water per hour under these conditions can potentially lead a net gain in water, even with considerable sweating, he says.

While exercising, "you should balance what you're drinking with what you're sweating," and that includes sports drinks, which can also cause hyponatremia when consumed in excess, Verbalis advises. "If you're sweating 500 milliliters per hour, that is what you should be drinking."

But measuring sweat output is not easy. How can a marathon runner, or any person, determine how much water to consume? As long as you are healthy and equipped with a thirst barometer unimpaired by old age or mind-altering drugs, follow Verbalis's advice, "drink to prevent your thirst. It's the best indicator."

TFT Algorithm For ADDICTIVE URGE - FIRST USE

ADDICTIVE URGE ALGORITHM - FIRST USE

1. Tune the Thought Field -- that is, intentionally think about the addictive urge you want to treat.

2. Rate the intensity of your addictive urge at this moment, using the Subjective Units of Distress (SUD) scale. On this scale, 10 is the most intense it could possibly be, and 1 indicates absolutely no trace of it. Write down the SUD rating before you continue to the next step.

3. Using two fingers of one hand, tap five times under the eye, about an inch below the bottom of the center of the bony orbit, high on the cheek. Tap firmly, but not hard enough to cause pain.

 4. Tap solidly five times under the arm, about four inches directly below the armpit, using rigid fingers. In men, this spot is under the arm about even with the nipple. Women can locate this spot by tapping at about the center of the bra under the arm.

5. Tap the "collarbone point." To locate it, take two fingers of either hand and run them down the center of the throat to the top of the center collarbone notch. This is approximately even with the spot where a man would knot his tie. From there, move straight down an additional inch. Then move to the right one inch. Tap this point five times.

 6. Take a second SUD rating and write it down. If the SUD has decreased 2 or more points (which will be the case for most people), then continue with step 7 below. If there was no change, however, or if the change in the SUD was only 1 point, perform the correction for a psychological reversal, using the technique described in this post (CLICK HERE). Then repeat steps 1 through 6.

7. Perform the nine-gamut treatments. Locate the gamut spot on the back of the hand, about an inch below the raised knuckles of the ring finger and little finger when making a fist. begin tapping the gamut spot with two fingers of the opposite hand, about three to five times per second, and continue tapping while performing all nine steps below ( tap five or six times for each of the nine-gamut positions). It is very important to tap the gamut spot throughout all nine of these gamut treatments:

G1~ Open the eyes.

G2~ Close the eyes.

G3~ Open the eyes and point eyeballs down and to the left.

G4~ Point the eyeballs down and to the right.

G5~ Whirl the eyeballs around in a circle in one direction (clockwise).

G6~ Whirl the eyeballs around in the opposite direction (counter clockwise).

G7~ Hum a few bars of any tune aloud (more than a single note;
rest the eyes).

G8~ Count aloud from one to five.

G9~ Hum the tune again.

8. Tap five times under the eye again.

9. Tap five times under the arm again.

10. Tap the collarbone point five times again.

11. Take still another SUD rating and write it down. If it has declined to 1 (which will happen with most people), move to step 12 below. But if it has decreased significantly yet is still not a 1, perform the MINI PR correction as described below, and then repeat the treatment steps above.

12. To ensure that the improvements you've made are complete, perform the floor-to-ceiling eye roll (when the SUD is 2 or lower): Hold the head level and move your eyes down. Then begin tapping the gamut point as you move your eyes upward.

MINI PR

A related procedure, called a mini psychological reversal correction, can be used when you decrease your SUD to a 3 or 4 but can't seem to get it any lower.  In other words, you've achieved substantial improvement, but you can't get to the finish line.  A block exists that is keeping you from reducing the SUD any further

In the algorithm for your particular emotional problem, you'll be instructed on whether and when to use this technique. here is the  procedure to follow:

~ Find the PR spot mentioned above,  located on the outside edge of the  hand, between the wrist and the  base of the little finger.
~ Tap about fifteen (15) times with two fingers of the opposite hand.

Image result for tapping PR spot

As long as a psychological reversal persists, TFT ( or any other treatment) won't be able to get the SUD to a 1.  The PR or mini PR correction will open the door that allows TFT to eradicate your problem.

ADDICTIVE URGES

Just how powerful are these addictive urges? Consider that most smokers who survive a heart attack -- or who undergo coronary by pass surgery -- continue to smoke. Imagine looking death in the eye and getting a second chance at life, and yet continuing with the behaviour that may have been largely responsible for the health problems you experienced!

I've often told the story about the U.S. soldiers who fought in the Vietnam War. Some of them turned to heroin and other illegal drugs to smother their reality-based anxiety.  As word drifted back to the States about heroin use among G.Is, there was a fear that America would have to deal with severe drug-addiction problems as the soldiers came home. But that wasn't the case at all. Once the returnees left the anxiety of combat behind them (obviously, the source of their anxiety was outside of themselves), most of them simply stopped using these hard drugs. They no longer felt the need for them, and the physiological component of addiction seemed rather insignificant once the source of their anxiety was gone. I'm convinced that addiction is primarily a psychological problem, not a physical one.

By treating the addictive urges in your life with the algorithms that follow or in this blog-site, you won't be masking or covering up -- you'll be eradicating them at their root cause.

Begin with the "first use" algorithm above, which works for most people in eliminating their addictive urges. But if you don't have success with the "first use" algorithm, move on to the "alternative algorithms 1 or 2," which are more effective for some individuals. Use these algorithms when your addictive urge is particularly strong.

"Do No Harm" By Dr. Yoshitaka Ohno

Do No Harm
By Dr. Yoshitaka Ohno

Giving people hope in order to enjoy a healthier, longer, and fuller life has been Dr. Yoshitaka Ohno’s mission since he left his medical practice in Japan over 20 years ago. He knew he could not practice the kind of medicine that was causing so much suffering to his patients. Japan’s medical system had become much like other western systems. It involves mostly drugs and surgery. It supplies misery rather than hope.

Dr. Ohno’s journey away from conventional medicine led him to what his mother called "humanitarian medicine." It allowed him to bring together six generations of medicine from his father’s family, and six generations of spiritual leadership from his mother’s family. He felt very fortunate to be the product of what has led him to mind/body/spirit medicine. This new medicine is based on having a close relationship with nature. Unless we pay attention to our natural environment and respect it, there will be no life left for our future generations. We are already killing nature. Soon it will be too late.

This book is the story of one doctor’s struggle to live his vision of humanitarian medicine. It is a journey through the pain of modern medicine, and the arrival at a new way of offering hope to people who are suffering.

DO NO HARM

by Yoshitaka Ohno, M.D., Ph.D.

The Story of a Doctor's Struggle to Live His Vision of Humanitarian Medicine

She looked at me calmly. She was almost too calm. She had surrendered herself totally to her decision. There was no fear in her voice or in her eyes. She was resolved in her conviction to die. She got up from her bed and closed the door quietly, wanting privacy so no one else in the hospital would hear.

"Please help me die, Dr. Ohno. Please show mercy and help me die. I have asked you to stop giving me the anticancer drug. I can't take it anymore! I know you don't want to watch me suffer. Every time you inject me with this drug, I know you are also suffering as you watch me suffer. The other doctors have always ignored me while I struggled with the agony. But your eyes have always shown me such concern. You are the only doctor who has shown me such compassion."

When I decided that my patients were being given too much of a dangerous drug, I decreased the dosage. But other doctors on the staff would change my order and raise the dosage without notifying me, because they knew that would make them look good to the Chief of Medicine.

She continued to talk to me as if I were her son. She stopped and took another sip of her tea. During the silence, I started thinking about what she was saying. It was true that I was struggling and I was showing the fatigue from my internal battle. I was not sleeping well. As tired as I was, I would lie in bed, unable to sleep. Then I would get up and sit at my desk. I would think about her and how I could help her. I often thought to myself, "Why did I become a doctor?"

When I first became a doctor, I seemed to be able to find ways to help my patients. But now, instead of being a healer, I felt more like a murderer. I knew my struggle would continue if I didn't find a better way to help my patients like her, who continued to suffer the pain and indignity of a death that I was causing.

As I watched this woman collapse in sobs while she continued to plead, a part of me was dying. But I knew that I now had to present her with the cruel facts. I spoke to her with tears in my eyes, as honestly and kindly as I could.

"Your cancer has already metastasized through your body, even to your brain. I am sorry but I am recommending that you go to hospice because there is nothing more we can do. The damage is irreversible. The more chemotherapy you are given, the sooner you will die. This drug not only kills cancer cells, but also destroys the healthy cells. You need to stop because the side effects are worse and are causing too much suffering."

Just then the Chief of Medicine of the hospital entered the room. He must have heard me because he said, "Dr. Ohno, I will take care of this patient. I can help her. Please have this patient signed over to my care."

The Chief of Medicine looked firmly at the suffering patient and began. "Dr. Ohno is right, but I think I can save you with a new drug I developed. It is still in the experimental stage, but it kills only cancer cells and has no side effects"

His words were totally unexpected by her. Her expression went from despair to hope. She began to cry with tears of joy. The Chief of Medicine stood there with the same arrogant and smug look I had come to know since arriving at the hospital. However, despite the deep emotion of hope that filled the room, I was both sad and angry. I knew that his anticancer drug had very strong side effects and would cause this poor woman even more suffering.

This was the first of what was to prove to be many rude awakenings for me. After years of medical school and training, of struggling to find humane ways to treat people, I was now facing the grim reality of having to allow my superior to treat patients as though they were experimental animals. It was obvious that he had no empathy for terminally ill people. I wanted desperately to step in and disagree, but I knew it would be futile and would spell the end of my medical career.

As I watched my patients suffer in agony from taking anticancer drugs, I was experiencing my own torment as well. I was becoming consumed with the memory of my mother's words to me after my father's death. The memory of that tragic period of my life started to overwhelm me. My father was a very famous surgeon who died when he was 42 years old. He worked long and hard to keep his hospital operating at its peak. His dedication cost him his life. He died of an aneurism during surgery.

This book is about the times in my life when I had to encounter many struggles in order to gain greater insight and appreciation of the final outcome. While I report the horrors I experienced during my years of practicing medicine in Japan, I also show how I was able to find a way to answer the cries of despair of my patients. This was not easy. It required that I make a decision that would put me at risk and force me to leave my practice. But during this process, I learned to become a better doctor, more concerned about the welfare of my patients rather than the rewards of fame and fortune, which, unfortunately, have become the driving force of modern medicine.

I did not have to take this road. It would have been easier to follow the program and do what my superiors told me to do. I come from a very prominent family in Japan and have always had choices and opportunities. But the values given to me by my family led to my decisions, which, though distressing at first, brought me to what I believe is my destiny.

I believe that there has always been an invisible force within me, guiding my direction and encouraging me to discover my true calling in life. As I have proceeded on my journey, there is one principal factor that has continually surfaced. This factor is contribution, the act of giving to others, directly from one's heart. This affects not only the recipient, but something of equal importance: the essence of our being.

I also believe, more than anything else, that my mission to help humanity is derived directly from giving people the awareness of how vitally important contribution is to the soul of the benefactor. My vision has become a vehicle that can assist people to gain an understanding that, as they direct their energies to give of themselves with a pure and open heart, they will ultimately fill an emptiness that resides deep within their spiritual center.

Through years of study and experimentation in seeking better ways of delivering good health care, I found the significant interrelationship between health and nature, and its impact on the quality of life. The best example is our precious water supply. After you read this book, you will become more knowledgeable about water; all water is not the same. You will learn that the quality, content, and even the structure of the water in your body can make the difference between sickness and health.

In order to test this theory, I tested many water sources. While I was conducting research in Japan, I discovered a naturally magnetized water that was being used by a prominent physician with his patients suffering from serious diseases, many which I had also been treating. As I observed and studied these patients, it became apparent that this water was unique and had therapeutic benefits.

We think of the human body as ...

Yoshitaka Ohno, M.D., Ph.D., Founder and President

Ohno Institute on Water and Health

Dr. Ohno is a native of Osaka, Japan, where he received his education and training in medicine and neuropathology. Early in his medical career, he began searching for ways to stop the suffering of his patients with diseases that could not be treated successfully by standard medicine, and thus had to be managed with multiple drugs. He began to realize that the side effects of these drugs were creating serious chronic problems, as well as increasing the body’s deterioration. After extensive study he became convinced that the condition of the body’s water was directly related to the state of the body’s health.

After leaving his medical practice, he continued his studies but found that the Japanese medical community was not placing much emphasis on chronic diseases found commonly among the aging population. He decided to enter the United States and accept a position at AMC Hospital in Denver, Colorado, where he could continue his research in geriatric pathology, including MRI studies on the relationship of water and cellular degeneration. His work led him to investigate the neuropathology of Alzheimer’s disease. As a result of his work, he received the Community Leadership Award from the Colorado Alzheimer’s Association in 1987 and the Humanitarian Award from the Alzheimer’s Disease International in 1993.

After returning to Japan in 1990, he discovered a naturally magnetized water that was being used by a prominent physician to treat serious, life-threatening diseases. As these patients recovered, Dr. Ohno became convinced that this water was unique. He pursued numerous clinical studies with this water, both in Japan and the United States. In 1998, Dr. Ohno founded the Ohno Institute on Water and Health, a non-profit research and education center for studying the effect of naturally magnetized water on health and aging. He has been requested as a speaker at several health conferences and has published several articles in professional journals on his findings.

Dr. Ohno resides with his wife and three children in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

I noticed that there were very few books about
water and health. Even in Japan there were many books in bookstores about water.  Perhaps it is bacause water in Japan is such a precious commodity that there is much more awareness of water and the environment.  In this nation there seems to be a little interest about the importance of clean water in our bodies.  It is no wonder that people continue to get sick easily and don't know why.  Even when people are aware of the dangers of water contamination, they do not know about the effect water has on the human body.

We think of the human body consisting of muscles, bones and nerves.  But everything in our body is made up of almost all water.  Our body is made up of 70% water, for average size adult. Too much of our health education is about drugs and the effects certain drugs have on the body. This is based on Solid Paradigm. How often do we hear about water and its effects on our health?  All the foods we eat consist of water.  Good water produces good crops that keep us healthy.  When we eat vegetables that have been grown in a contaminated field from chemicals and polluted soil , we are nor providing our body with nourishment, but poison. When we eat poultry, beef, pork or fish that has been contaminated from a poor water source, are we not poisoned as well?

The awareness in this nation is slowly growing.  Since so little is taught about the importance of water in the human body, it is easy for people to contaminate their bodies without being aware of what they are doing.  Since we are the unity of a mind-body-spirit relationship, it makes sense that not only is our body contaminated by poor water , but our mind and our spirit as well.  When we do not take proper care of our body hydration, the body cannot remain in a balanced state. water helps balance our body, and when we are balanced physically, our emotions are much more stable.  We become less irritable and angry, and our spiritual energy is much more alive.

  "Danger Past, God Forgotten"

It is amazing to me that is usually takes a life crisis for people to wake up and understand how vital water is . Most people ignore how important our water resources are until they experience  a problem in their life.  The earth is also made up of 70% water. But 94% of our water supply is salt water.  Only 6% of our earth's water is fresh water. Of this 4% is in the form of glaciers.  This leaves approximately 2% fresh water on earth for human consumption.  If we continue to ignore water as the very precious commodity it is, we are in danger of destroying not just our bodies ; we are in danger of also destroying our home planet, Earth.

Many people have called me the "Water Doctor" , saying that all i know is water. All I want to talk about is water.  I try to be understanding, but without knowledge about the importance of water, my words sound too simplistic  to have any merit.

I had gotten used to people laughing at me and telling me that my ideas are not reality.  I am used to the feeling of alienation and exclusion, so attempts to discourage me have not affected my determination. I continue to focus on the benefits of the water I discovered, and I tell people about this water anytime I have the opportunity to do so.  Usually, when I meet someone witha health problem, or they tell me about someone in their family witha health problem, they say they have tried every kind of conventional medical treatment available. But after seeing no improvements, they have lost hope.  I am always eager to help them.  I will explain the special qualities of the water , and how the water I discovered here can help them.  When I get this opportunity , people will isten to me.

One day a woman visited the health center because she was looking for a good facility to care for her sister who had Alzheimer's disease.  She toured the facility but was terribly disappointed when she realized she would not be able to afford the cost of care.  I was very impressed with her devotion to her sister, and I took a few minutes to talk to her about her sister's state of health.

" I understand that your sister is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. I supposed that even though you have tried to do a good job in taking care of her at home, her symptoms are getting worse.  I can see that you look very tired from the strain of taking care of her.  I would like to tell you something that can help your sister.  It is naturally magnetized water.  I have had good results giving this water to Alzheimer's patients,: I explained to her.

"Doctor Ohno, I have tried everything I can think of !  I cannot afford to bring my sister to health center and I cannot take care of her by myself anymore.  Let me try your water and see if at least this helps her.  Any improvement to her health will be appreciated !"

I delivered a case of the water to her home the next day. i instructed her to have her sister drink one bottle of water each day and to record any differences she saw in her sister's behaviour.

After one month, she reported that her sister's cognitive functioning had improved.  Her eyes no longer looked dull, but sharp and alert. Her appetite had improved dramatically and she was able to walk much better.  After two months of drinking the water daily, she again began to distinguish people and recognize who they were!

"Who am I ?" she asked when she and her sister visited me.

"You are my sister !" she answered.

"Doctor Ohno ! I cannot tell you what it means to me to have my sister recognize me again !  I have to tell you, i was really skeptical before trying your water . I am so glad you approached me and told me about your water !  I need you to explain what is happening to my sister and why this water is able to help her. "

" I am so happy that your sister is improving so nicely ! Thank you very much for asking this question ! It has not been often since I came here that someone has wanted me to explain to them about this water . I believe that this water can help people with any disease, not just Alzheimer's !

I answered her as simply as I could.

"There are 100 billion cells in the human brain, and the brain is made up of 90% water. One of the reasons Alzheimer's disease occurs is because of contamination of the water which composes the brain.  When the brain cells become contaminated, they lose electrons.  the brain cells then cease to function and they cannot send the information correctly.  This happens because the contaminated cells become disorganized and unstable.  SO the signals that normally create impulses that travel from one cell to another cell are no longer  in a stable environment and are unable to transfer information correctly.  My theory is that if we can improve the water in the brain, we can improve the responses of the brain.

The reason why naturally magnetized water helps to improve cognitive functioning, like memory, is because the water is highly organized. Once this water enters the cells of the brain, the cells become organized and the impulses once again connect.  Keep in mind this is a very simplistic explanation  , but it helps to give you an idea as to why the water is helping your sister."

She was very surprised to hear my explanation. " I would never have believed your theory until I saw the results ! I am a chemist and I can see where the quality of the water would definitely impact the functioning. I just have never really thought it would affect it to that extent! "

"If you were not a chemist then perhaps you would not have understood my idea, I responded."

"Doctor Ohno, if you have so much trouble getting studies done at Health Center here and they do not appreciate  what this wonderful water could do for their patients, why don't you open up your own clinic ? Just think of the people you could help ! "

I was so appreciative of her suggestion. I had met very few people who were as kind and understanding as she was.  The compassion she had given to her sister , and the concern she was extending to me was heartfelt.

Modern medicine has developed rapidly over the past 100 years, thanks to the science of antibiotics and high-tech surgical procedures. We can all feel secure that a plague or epidemic will not wipe out large populations. Most diseases that were common years ago are under control. Since modern medicine is driven by pharmacology, new drugs will always be discovered that will deal with any new outbreak.

Yet, when we take a closer look, the incidence in diseases that do not respond to modern medicine continues to rise. There is a steady increase in diseases such as Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis, hypertension and diabetes. According to the World Health Organization, diabetes will affect 300 million people by the year 2025. The rate is tripling in developing countries with access to modern medicine. Alzheimer's disease, which currently is at 2 or 3 million, is expected to rise to over 12 million by 2025.

Due to the increase in the aged population, multiple diseases are becoming common. This accounts for the huge pharmaceutical industry. Although new drugs have been effective for most acute diseases, more drugs are being prescribed for chronic diseases attributed to aging without any significant results. The aged are rapidly becoming a multi-drug culture.

What are we missing in trying to discover the causes of chronic diseases, which start us aging sooner while we live longer? A new population has now been identified--the chronically old and sick. It is very likely that most of us will be a part of this group.

Even more alarming is the increase in colon cancer and other intestinal disorders. Radiation treatment and chemotherapy are commonly prescribed for cancer patients. However, the statistics show that life expectancy is no greater for those undergoing these treatments than for those who refuse them. It seems that surgery and drugs are not really the answer.

The rate of colon cancer is rapidly increasing in Japan. Before World War II, Japan enjoyed one of the best health records in the world. Their diet consisted mostly of rice, fish and vegetables. The incidence of colon cancer was very low. After the war, their diet changed dramatically. Western influence provided new foods such as beef, milk, and cheese. More dramatically was the rise in fast food restaurants, exposing the Japanese people to high intake of fats. Previously, fat consumption was 20 grams per day. This rose to 70 grams. Colon cancer began to rise in Japan to where it now equals the rate found in America.

One factor attributed to the sharp increase in colon cancer is a breakdown of the bile that is secreted by the liver and stored in the gall bladder. The chemistry of bile has been found to have changed drastically. The change in quality of bile as it is transferred from the liver to the gall bladder to the colon has resulted in con-taminated and toxic bile. Secondary bile acid, such as deoxycholic acid, is a major contributor to cancer. This, along with water toxicity and the high fat content of junk foods, has created an increase in colon and liver cancers in Japan.

The key to production of secondary bile acid is seen in analyzing the fermentation process in intestinal flora. Secondary bile acid is a major factor in the breakdown of fermentation in the intestines. As it builds up in the blood, chronic diseases that are related to the deterioration of intestinal flora and difficult to treat occur. The accumulation of calcium in the gall bladder, resulting in gallstones, is attributed to secondary bile acid.

How the Nature of Bacteria is Explained in Fermentation

Much of our work in research has involved the relationship and influence of the breakdown of intestinal flora and cancer. Flora exists in a healthy, productive state and is produced when fermentation in the body follows a normal pattern. Fermentation is responsible for hormone production, immune system effectiveness, vitamin production and assimilation, cholesterol metabolism and synthesis, control of glucose levels and normal bowel functioning. Without healthy intestinal flora, protein synthesis cannot take place; thus effectiveness of vital animo acids is lost.

Fermentation is necessary in the production of many consumable products. Bacteria in fermentation make cheese, yogurt and buttermilk. Fermentation is responsible for the production of wine. In fact, it was because the grape crop in France was in danger of destruction that the wine industry commissioned Louis Pasteur to discover the cause. As a result, the application of Pasteur's theory of fermentation saved the day, making him the most respected scientist of his time.

During the second half of the nineteenth century, different schools of thought regarding fermentation developed. Pasteur, who had the attention of the scientific community based on his discoveries, strongly supported Theodore Schwann, who concluded that fermentation was based on a biological theory. Fermentation, according to Schwann and Pasteur, must occur within living cells.

Basically, Schwann believed that the growth of yeast could only be determined if living cells are involved in the process. When glucose ferments, it allows yeast bacteria to be continually produced. Pasteur added that this applied not only to alcohol fermentation but also lactic fermentation, caused by lactic bacteria, and vinegar fermentation, caused by vinegar acid fermentation. Since, according to Pasteur's thinking, the fermentation process could not take place outside of living cells it was called the Biological Theory.

However, about the same time Justus von Liebig argued against Pasteur's theory. He believed that fermentation was caused by changes in the molecular structure of bacteria, not the bacteria, per se, as Pasteur believed. Von Liebig's argument was that fermentation was caused by the transfer of movement of bacteria, creating a chemical change in yeast, not in the bacteria itself. Fermentation took place during this activity. Since fermentation is an anaerobic process, the electrons generated in the breakdown of glucose are donated to an oxidized organic molecule (oxidation). This stresses the importance of electron transfer, which becomes a catalyst in fermentation. Since this creates a change in the chemistry in a substance (such as yeast) and is responsible for its fermentation, his theory was known as the Chemical Fermentation Theory.

A bitter debate continued between whom was right until Pasteur died. However, as a result of the attention it drew from the scientific world, Eduard and Hans Buchner found what is now the most accepted cause of fermentation. (An important fact to remember, however, is that Pasteur changed his mind and recanted his "Germ Theory" before his death. However, medicine was too committed to acknowledge this and continued to move ahead with Pasteur's theory. The result is seen today in the huge, lucrative pharmaceutical industry.)

Like most discoveries that make history, the Buchners' was accidentally caused during an experiment in which they attempted to make cell-free extracts of yeast to be used as a pharmaceutical. Because these extracts could not be preserved with antiseptics, they added sucrose, (a commonly used food preservative) to the yeast. Then they left their lab for the night.

The next morning they were astonished to find that the yeast fluid had become alcohol during fermentation. As a result, they were able to prove that alcohol fermentation does not need living cells and therefore, it is not created by the grape itself but by a chemical catalyzing reaction. They also suggested what has become widely accepted, that an enzyme can be produced without originating from a living cell--enzymes are in themselves a life element. This changed what was almost universal thinking up to that time, as well as refuting Pasteur's theory. As a result of this discovery, the Buchners received the Nobel Prize in 1907.

As a footnote, there is still much resistance from the scientific community as to the acceptance of the Buchners' findings--how bacteria change in the body. Because of this resistance, we believe that medical science is losing an opportunity in understanding the role of bacteria in the disease and aging processes.

Since bacteria do not require oxygen to create an enzyme in fermentation, more than a dozen fermentation processes have evolved among bacteria, each using a different organic molecule as the hydrogen receptor. Each becomes a different acid. To add even more credibility to what the Buchners discovered over 100 years ago, we now know through the results of numerous studies that many of the reactions of lactic fermentation are the same as those of alcohol fermentation. This brings into focus even more powerfully their biochemical similarity.

Bacteria, Fermentation and Putrefaction
We have been led to believe that all bacteria are harmful and must be destroyed. We believe bacteria are the enemy. We have come to rely on antibiotics to kill bacteria, thus killing disease in our body. This sells a lot of antibiotics. Unfortunately, in the process of killing bacteria that become unstable and pathogenic, antibiotics also kill bacteria that keep us alive. The survival power of bacteria is so great that they have learned to adjust and flourish, rendering antibiotics ineffective. No wonder the incidence of chronic diseases continues to rise. In the process of killing the enemy we are destroying that which is necessary to keep us healthy.

Bacteria have been around almost since the earth's beginning. Bacteria have also lived in our body since man's beginning. There are over 100 trillion of these organisms living in our colons. Most are necessary for digestion and elimination of waste products and play an important role in natural processing of foods. When toxins that enter our body in our food and drinking water invade bacteria, new harmful bacteria are formed. These create disease.

Historically, especially in primitive societies, man respected nature and was nurtured by it. Also, historically, man and bacteria have always had a healthy relationship. Bacteria supported all forms of life. But our search for scientific knowledge turned to arrogance and this relationship changed. Since that time, man and bacteria have been at war, and the spoils of this war have been increased--incurable diseases.

When we became sophisticated in scientific thought and discovery, it was decided that bacteria were no longer needed. Rational, scientific theory and medical science propagated Pasteur's Germ Theory--that disease was caused by bacteria and had to be destroyed. This theory was developed into standard practice, which is still driving modern medicine. The tools--antibiotics-- were now available for man to conquer his or her own destiny.

Through all this, bacteria responded, "Why are you destroying us? We're your friends. You owe your lives to us." Man continued to find new weapons--antibiotics--the state of the art defense system. The war with bacteria was going to be won. But the foe became a superior enemy. Bacteria are stronger and will always survive. Sometimes they go into retreat, making us believe we have won. Then they come back, even stronger and attack aggressively. New antibiotics are created and leveled at the body, but bacteria adapt and build a resistance. Disease flourishes.

The problem, therefore, is what we have come to believe--that bacteria are the cause of the disease. Yet, we have learned through our research that it is how the bacteria change in the fermentation process when they become unstable that result in disease, not the bacteria. This is due to oxidation, or loss of electrons, which change the structure of bacteria, making them aggressive and dangerous. Intestinal flora break down and attack the organs rather than help maintain them. Healthy bacteria change and become dangerous. Many serious, chronic diseases begin.

We hydrate our body everyday with toxic water. Chemicals in our food enter the intestines. Fermentation is the result of healthy bacteria, and that creates a healthy body. Putrefaction is the result of a structural change in bacteria, making them aggressive and destructive, which leads to the body's destruction.

The difference between fermentation and putrefaction is the difference in electron oxidation/reduction and the same process that has been identified as the free-radical theory of disease. Put simply, in fermentation, bacteria maintain paired electron stability, which allow them to perform their vital functions in the body. In putrefaction, bacteria lose an electron to become unstable and aggressive, attacking cells and stealing electrons making these cells unstable. This is what is seen in cancerous cells--unstable, aggressive cells with an odd number of electrons.

A simple example that explains how the body reacts differently to fermentation and putrefaction is seen in how the digestive and elimination systems function. Under normal conditions, fermentation allows bacteria to perform a vital role in maintaining homeostasis of the body. We enjoy regular bowel movements to remove waste materials from the intestines before putrefaction overcomes fermentation. However, the results of putrefaction are seen in constipation, when the body is unable to eliminate waste materials, which changes the structure of bacteria and promotes the formation of disease in the intestines and colon. Interestingly and fortunately, diarrhea becomes the body's way of eliminating a large build up of toxicity created by putrefaction. So it is constipation that is the more serious condition. Constipation is a breakdown of natural fermentation. When intestinal flora change from fermentation to putrefaction, disease begins.

What are some of the causes of putrefaction?
The overuse of drugs and toxins in food and water are the most common influences. It is not surprising that there is a direct relationship between the increase food and water toxicity and the overuse of prescribed medications and the increase in chronic, aging-related diseases. With this huge increase, intestinal flora is altered by the instability of bacteria that activated this process. The result is that there has been a drastic change from fermentation to putrefaction.

When putrefaction takes over, toxins and waste products that are normally eliminated from our body are retained and enter the blood. The blood pH changes due to high acidity in body fluids. Over time, if the body remains in high acidity, the blood with become acidic and a condition known as acidosis will occur. This puts the body in a diseased state, destroying organs and eventually leading to death.

Water is a Vital Force in the Stability of the Fermentation Process.

To better understand the role of fermentation in the stability of bacteria in intestinal flora, we need to look at the significant role that the quality and content of the body's water plays. Briefly speaking, how water reacts to stabilize bacteria is critical to how bacteria either support or disrupt fermentation. Disrupted fermentation is putrefaction--chemical imbalance at its least threatening, or disease at its most harmful.

From the very beginning of the existence of life on Earth, water has provided the medium to prevent temperature changes from disrupting growth and development of an organism. It has been the catalyst in chemical changes, from simple to complex. It has provided the medium for electrical conduction required for ionization of cells and cellular mobility.

Fluid fluctuations affect blood volume and cellular function. This can be life threatening. When the amount of water within cells is relatively constant, there is an exchange of solutes and water between compartments to maintain unique compositions. Individuals with a greater percent of body fat have less total body water percentage and are more susceptible to fluid imbalances that cause hydration.

Total body water percent decreases with age, resulting in inadequate cellular hydration. Most critical is the decrease in the intra/extra cellular fluid ratio. With age also, kidney function becomes less efficient in producing urine and conserving sodium.

It seems that there are two major issues about water in our body that must be resolved if the body is to remain in a state of harmony and balance. First, the water in our body must be able to prevent toxins and chemical substances from accumulating and creating destructive influences in cells. Water must bring all minerals and nutrients required for metabolism into the cells and remove any substances that can damage the cell. It must be able to protect the cell membrane from damage and invasion.

Second, since water is involved in every function of the body, it must act as a conductor of electrochemical activity, such as neurotransmission, by transferring information from one nerve cell to another smoothly and efficiently. When water with a weak, electromagnetic signal enters nerve cells, the synapses cannot generate strong impulses between cells.

Relationship of Magnetism, Water and Cell Stability

What is a living cell? It is one large molecule, tied together by a matrix of water molecules. Like the atoms that compose them, they are tied together by ionic bonds consisting of positive and negative charges on their outer surfaces. In order for water to form ordered, structural energy bonds around cells, there must be an active magnetic influence present. Water molecules lose order when they are not adequately magnetized. Inadequate magnetized molecules will disrupt hydration around them, creating disorganized movement for both the cell and surrounding water. Magnetism takes place when electrons orbit round their atoms. The electrons circling around atoms resist attempts to disturb their usual orbits so they can create their own magnetic fields. If neighboring electrons are made to spin so their poles are aligned in the same direction, the cell becomes magnetically activated.

The energy in moving water generates many negative ions. As water breaks up, positive charges remain and the negative charge moves freely, forming negative ions. Recent studies have reported that ions have a pronounced effect on all of life. Studies on air borne bacteria that cause respiratory illnesses have found that an amazingly small amount of negative ions could kill these bacteria and remove them from the air.

Since water is the medium through which all electrochemical activity takes place, its ability to respond to the electromagnetic field is also critical in the body's health maintenance and healing process. Water does not exist as a single molecule, but resembles a bunch of grapes, with about 30-40 molecules in each cluster. (Sometimes there are as much as 50 or 60.) However, if water has been naturally formed with its own magnetism, molecular clusters separate into smaller clusters of five or six molecules per cluster. It is also more organized in structure and movement.

Water, despite the simplicity of its molecular structure, exhibits a complex behavior when it is influenced by electromagnetism and exchanges energy with its environment. The bonding of two molecules creates interactions of cooperation and coherence that changes the random behavior of molecules. If water has natural magnetic properties, including its own magnetic wave, it can communicate and transfer information from one molecule to another to maintain consistency in the way various bodily processes function. This keeps water at a consistent frequency, much the same as when a radio dial is on a direct frequency. When the dial is moved even slightly, static occurs and the signal is lost.

Chemistry of body fluids must be balanced in order for the process of fermentation to function normally. This requires a pH acid/alkaline balance. Normal blood pH has a very small window of normalcy. It must range between 7.35 and 7.45. This means that there is an adequate amount of oxygen in the blood. Any slight decrease in blood pH will result in lower oxygen levels and, therefore, in the cells. Even a slight drop in pH is the beginning of a disease state.

For water to be most effective in our body, it is necessary that it contain ionized minerals required to nourish and protect cells, including bacteria. It should have a slightly higher pH, which is necessary to assure that the body fluids do not become and remain over acidic, resulting in putrefaction. However, because of contamination in our environment (such as toxic wastes and chemical additives to food and drinking water) minerals have been depleted, resulting in metabolic disturbances, creating a more rapid disease and aging process to occur.

Discovering a Naturally Magnetized Water from Japan's Ancient Magnetic Mountain.
We have spent several years researching and studying a naturally magnetized water that Dr. Ohno discovered in Japan. The history of this water is remarkable and explains why it can have health and anti-aging benefits. According to geological records, a sea volcano erupted millions of years ago and rose to the surface, becoming a mountain. This occurred about the same time a huge meteorite shower poured down in this region. As a result, the magnetite from the meteorites bonded with the granite and limestone in the mountain and created a continuous magnetic effect on the water deposited in this magnetic mountain. The water has a stable history of magnetic influence on the ionization of its 74 minerals. In comparison to other water that we have studied which is artificially magnetized, the magnetization in this water continues after it is removed from its source. This has been verified in scientific study.

Three natural conditions are created in this magnetic environment, which give this water its unique qualities. First, it contains a balance of essential minerals not found in any other water. This includes trace minerals that have been depleted in soil and drinking water sources. Second, its natural magnetization allows molecules to be more highly organized in structure and movement, forming smaller clusters and allows it to be more easily absorbed and utilized by cells. Third, it has a slightly higher alkaline pH, between 7.60 and 7.80 which helps keep bodily fluids from becoming acidic. Because of its natural ionization, it can replace electrons lost by cells and bacteria before they become free radicals. It has a 1.02:1.00 density ratio to non-magnetized water.

The quality, content and activity of the water in our body and how it creates stability of bacteria and all other cells will affect how well we age and how well our body can control disease. If the water in our body is magnetized with ample negative polarity in its ions, it can provide electron reduction to bacteria through its magnetization effect, thus stabilizing bacteria. Much of what has been learned about naturally magnetized water relates to its effect on the environment of the cells.

The cells are constantly exposed to toxicity, both from the external environment and the body's internal environment. As a result of many years of studying the effects of naturally magnetized water on health and aging problems, Dr. Ohno has concluded that if the body is 70% water, bacteria and all other cells are 70% water, then the relationship of water to human health must be given priority and investigating causes of health and aging disorders. This can add credence to theories regarding aging and disease, which are creating a new force in medicine.

Who Is Dr. Yoshitaka Ohno ?

Dr. Ohno is a native of Osaka, Japan, where he received his education and training in medicine and neuropathology. Early in his medical career, he began searching for ways to stop the suffering of his patients with diseases that could not be treated successfully by standard medicine, and thus had to be managed with multiple drugs. He began to realize that the side effects of these drugs were creating serious chronic problems, as well as increasing the body'd deterioration.  After extensive study Dr.Ohno became convinced that the condition of the human body's water was directly related to the state of the body's health.

After leaving his medical practice, he continued his studies but found that the Japanese medical community was not placing much emphasis on chronic diseases found commonly among the aging population. He decided to enter the United States and accept a position at AMC Hospital in Denver, Colorado, where he could continue his research in geriatric pathology , including MRI studies on the relationship of water and cellular degeneration.  His work led him to investigate the neuropathology of Alzheimer's disease. As a result of his work, he received the Community Leadership Award from the Colorado Alzheimer's Association in 1987, and the Humanitarian Award from the Alzheimer's Disease International in 1993.

After returning to Japan in 1990, Dr. Ohno discovered a naturally magnetized water that was being used by a prominent physician to treat serious, life-threatening diseases.  As these patients recovered, Dr. Ohno became convinved that this water was unique.  he pursued numerous clinical studies with this water , both in Japan and the United States. In 1998, Dr. Ohno founded the  Ohno Institute on Water and Health, a non-profit research and education center for studying the effect of naturally magnetized water on health and aging. He has been requested as a speaker at several health conferences and has published several articles in professional journals on his findings. Click For Location

and Water on Increasing the Body's

The body is under constant attack. Environmental contaminants make their
way into the air, food and water, and
invade our body. Rapid environmental changes in modern society have led to
a breakdown of the body's defenses and
a rise in immune-related diseases.
Although we are living longer, we are
really only living a longer period of time
for our body to deteriorate from chronic
disease associated with aging.
Quantityof life, therefore, has replaced
quality of life.

Throughout our lifetime, we are
confronted with the mystery of why we
become so susceptible to disease as we
age. After many years of studying the
relationship of water to disease and
aging, I am convinced that the body's
ability to resist disease and unnatural
aging depends on the condition of the
water in our body. What does this mean?
It means that water is the key in providing
our body with what it needs to strengthen
its immune system, to better process
nutrients, to maintain electro-chemical
balance, and to protect the cells from
damage by absorbing and flushing out
toxins and wastes before they accumulate
and destroy them.

The mystery of understanding disease,
therefore, begins basically with knowing
what our body needs throughout its
lifetime to maintain a consistent balance.
It requires investigation; not only what
factors and conditions result in disease,
but also how the body reacts to hosting
various destructive organisms. We also
need to know what known methods can
be utilized in seeking the best preventive
and maintenance measures available. It
also requires understanding the demands
placed upon our body from sudden
changes, without the body having time
to adapt and allow the natural immune
system to help re-establish its balance.

Health and aging depend on the quality,
content and structure of the water in our
body. Since our body is 70% water, a cell
is 70% water, and the DNA in the cell is
70% water, then the water we put into our
body must be significant in how we age
and how well our body can maintain a
stable internal environment to keep
disease-producing influences from
destroying it.

Symptoms of the body's deterioration
begin to appear when the body loses 5%
of its total water volume. In a healthy,
normal adult, this is seen as fatigue and
general discomfort. Although an adult can
survive with a 5% water volume loss,
this amount can be dehydrating to an
infant. In an elderly person, a 5% water
loss may not be fatal, but the body
chemistry becomes abnormal, especially
if the percent of electrolytes is
overbalanced with sodium. If this percent

decrease in water volume continues, the
body will break down. Symptoms seen in
aging, such as fever, nausea, dizziness
and even disorientation will become
standard. Continuous water loss over
time will speed up aging, as well as the
disease process itself. Not maintaining
the required water volume in the body
will result in continuous and apparent destruction.
The body will die in less than a week
without the minimum amount of water
to sustain itself.

All body functions take place in water,
interacting with cells. Because water is
an excellent solvent, assimilation of vital
nutrients and proteins take place through

absorption. Water then carries those sub-
stances throughout the body to vitalize
and replenish cells, and protect their
exterior walls. This allows such functions
as metabolism, digestion, blood flow and
cellular reproduction to remain normal.
However, all of these functions can be
seriously disrupted when the body's
water is contaminated. Instead of being a

stabilizing force, water can add to the
disturbance of these functions.

Studying water as long as I have has led
me to identify a progression of the disease

process in our body. I call this the "cycle
of disease," because I have seen a direct

progression of deterioration in the body
as it becomes susceptible to disease. It
begins with water that is contaminated
with toxins and chemicals that can't be

neutralized and as a result, change the
chemistry of body fluids.

As contamination continues in our body,
its water becomes acidic. This sets up a
condition for oxygenation, which disrupts
cell stability by stealing electrons. As a
result, free radicals form and destroy cells.
Now the body is in a state of disease. In
the process of defending the body from
mass destruction, the immune system is

weakened. In the process of recovery,
over medication results in further
weakening the immune system. This is compounded
by the autoimmune system response, which attacks
and destroys
healthy cells. We can now see a domino
effect take place, as cells continue to be
invaded and destroyed.

Our natural immune system needs time
to respond and help the internal
environment of the body to adapt to
radical changes. In the past, our body
had time to build defenses to protect itself. However, today
we face the constant threat of new toxins
and organisms produced in the environ
-ment, which invade our body as the
immune system struggles to build its new
line of defense. During this process, the
human organism remains vulnerable.

Much of the power of the immune system
is located in the blood, where it provides protection from foreign pathogens.
Antibodies in the blood locate unfamiliar molecules attached to organisms in the
body and attack them. Blood is composed
of  90% water. When the water,
which composes most of the blood
is contaminated, the antibodies become
disabled and are not effective in
destroying toxic invaders. Knowing
the importance of water and providing
our body with the best water possible
can give us an edge in protecting our
body.

Some Important Facts about

the Body's Natural Healing Process

The body has the natural ability to

repair and heal itself. This is seen in
every species of life. However, we
have turned away from this and rely
on "modern medical miracles" to
provide a quick fix for recovery from
illness.

Healing requires energy. The body is

a molecular structure, composed of
60 trillion cells. Cells are produced
and maintain their structure and
function based on energy. The
production of energy is sustained
by the stability of the electrons of
the cell. Lost electrons create a
disruption in the cell's energy supply.
Metabolism is disturbed and the
cell dies.

The body's magnetic wave-form

must be smooth and even in order
for the body to return or remain
in balance.

Electromagnetic waves can be

measured with instruments such as
EEG (electroencephalogram) and
EKG. Disturbance in magnetic rhythm
is seen in erratic magnetic wave
patterns shown by these instruments.

Healing depends on blood circulation
to bring energy, oxygen and nutrients to a distressed area of the body. This requires a continuous rate of flow and a balanced pH, between pH 7.35 and pH 7.45.
It also depends on the blood's ability
to prevent plaque from forming on
arterial walls because of a high
viscosity or resistance.

Usually we have to return our body

to a state of health in three stages:
1. Detoxification
2. Re-balancing
3. Provide it with protective

mechanisms against disease and
unnatural aging.

During this period, it is essential that

we increase water consumption in
order to increase intracellular hydration
However, in order for the healing
process to become activated, two
conditions must be present. First,
the body's water must be capable of
providing an internal environment to
allow the body to remain in balance.
And second, there must be a magnetic
influence to allow the water to
activate the body's energy and physiology.
The majority of medical scientists
follow a common principle regarding
disease. Health and disease are
basically determined by states of
order and disorder in our body.
Disease is a disturbance of molecular
structure, which results in a breakdown
of cells and the bio- electrochemical
processes of various systems, as well
as the human organism as a whole.
A natural state of order in our body
is required and is directly related to
a stable, magnetic waveform, which
helps produce, as well as distribute
energy throughout the body. This
waveform is necessary to keep the
body in balance. Whenever the body
is disrupted by internal or external
destructive influences, its magnetic
waveform becomes erratic. In order
for the body to return to balance,
a stable magnetic wave must be
restored. When this happens, the
natural healing responses can
effectively make a correction.

The body's magnetism stimulates the biochemistry needed for the body's communication systems and for

natural healing to take place. Healing
begins and ends in the core of every
cell. Because water composes most of
the body, it is the medium for allowing magnetization to activate this healing
process. Minerals that respond to and
activate magnetization in the body
have been depleted from our soil and
drinking water sources. These minerals
must be constantly replaced for our
body to maintain its ability to remain
stable and benefit from its magnetic
energy. The body has a magnetic blue
print and the source and the level of
magnetism affects the level of energy.
Its electrochemical plant in every cell
programs all activity that takes place
in the body.

Magnetism is a dominating factor in

all human functions. As geomagnetism
holds the earth and all life in balance,
so is magnetism necessary for the
human body to remain in balance.
Since water is the basis of life, how
it is influenced by magnetism
determines how effective it is in
regulating all bodily functions.

Water that is naturally magnetized can communicate and transfer information

from one molecule to another and,
therefore, from one system or organ
to another. This is made possible by
the orderly arrangement of its water
molecules, traveling through the body,
as they are kept aligned by magnetization. Without active magnetization in each
molecule, water will not remain in an
orderly structure after each impulse.
Messages between cells will become
distorted and there will be no steady
magnetic frequency.

How Does Naturally Magnetized

Water Work in Our Body?

The Japanese symbol for "Perfect

Harmony or Balance" is Nariwa.
完璧なハーモニー
Kanpekina hāmonī.

完璧な調和 Kanpekina chōwa

This describes what we call
homeostasis, the body in balance.
It seemed like the right word to
describe what I have found out
about how important the water in our
body is to bring it into a state of
harmony or balance.

Ever since I discovered Nariwa naturally magnetized water in Japan, which

was being used by physicians to treat
serious, life threatening diseases, and
began experimenting with it, I have
found changes in the health status of
patients whom I have studied. As a
medical researcher, I have struggled
for many years asking questions on
the many causes of the body's
deterioration and susceptibility to
disease, especially diseases associated
with aging. I have conducted several investigations, including controlled
clinical studies and individual case
studies. The results of these
investigations revealed many answers
to my questions.

I have exposed this water to stringent

laboratory testing for safety, content
and structure. I have had Darkfield
microscopy done that showed its
unique molecular structure, as well
as its ability to influence changes in
blood cells of diseased patients. The
related scientific support for what
this water does in the body offers
a solid rationale for its use as a
healing and preventive substance.

As a result of my extensive research

and experimentation with naturally
magnetized water, I can report four
major findings:

1. The quality, content and structure

of the water in our body is directly
related to how well the body main
-tains its ability to control and
prevent influences that cause it to
deteriorate and become susceptible
to disease.

2. Magnetization will change the

structure of water molecules. Regular
drinking water from our faucets or in
commercial bottled water is formed
in large molecular clusters (between
50 to 60). Magnetization in water
will organize molecules into small
clusters (3 to 5) and keep them aligned
during movement and absorption.
This will stabilize the structure and
composition of cells.

3. If elements contained in water are

magnetized, they can attract and
absorb toxins and other contaminated
substances from cells. These can then
be flushed out before they can
accumulate and become destructive.

4. Because of our diet and the

condition of standard drinking water,
the water in our body becomes acidic.
This lowers the pH in body fluids
and can change blood pH stability.
As a result, a condition known as
acidosis can be created over time,
which results in disease. Naturally
magnetized water contains a higher
alkaline pH, which can help
neutralize acidity in body fluids.

When a molecule of a different
substance is dissolved and absorbed
in water, a major structural change
takes place with a completely new
molecular structure. Under the effect
of magnetized water, the new
structure will break and change,
influenced by the "magnetic signature"
of the water. Because of the magnetic
influence in the water molecules, the
new molecule will also remain stable.

This is important regarding the

molecular structure of vitamin and
mineral supplements. Because the
molecules are too large to be completely
broken down and absorbed by the
cells in water that is not bio-magneti
-cally activated, they are mostly
flushed out of the system before they
can enter the cell membrane and
properly nourish the cells. However,
naturally magnetized water can
break down vitamins and minerals
into smaller molecular clusters,
absorb them easily and transport
them into the cells.

Studies Conducted on Naturally

Magnetized Water

Several controlled clinical studies,

as well as individual longitudinal
case studies, have been conducted
over the past five years on how this
water changes the way the body resists
and recovers from health problems.
These studies have consistently reported improvements. Findings indicate that
study subjects exposed to this water
over an average of two months showed
an increase in kidney function. This
was seen in a study that reported cell detoxification, increased cell hydration
and lower pH in body fluids after three
months. A major study, which I
conducted, showed that over time,
naturally magnetized water can stabilize
harmful bacteria in intestinal flora.
Improvements have been documented
with patients suffering from hypertension, diabetes, asthma, psoriasis, arthritis,
colitis, and multiple sclerosis.

A study was conducted using

Darkfield microscopy to film blood
samples of patients with long-term
chronic disease. After two months,
changes in blood cell structure and
composition were noticeable, which
substantiated improvements measured
with clinical instruments. This study
has been expanded to test if
improvements remain or are lost after
a withdrawal period from drinking this
water, and if improvements will return
after resuming this water.

Four years ago, a double-blind study

was conducted with Alzheimer's
residents at an assisted living facility
on the effect of this naturally
magnetized water on delaying memory
loss. Significant differences were
reported between groups. Subjects
were also given pre- and post-PET scans. Subjects in the Experimental Group
(using naturally magnetized water)
showed greater glucose metabolism
and oxygen flow in the brain.

After preliminary investigations

discovering that persons with
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
show a high correlation with
dehydration, this water was used
with a large study population of
ADD subjects. This study is not
completed, but preliminary
testing after two months report that
the intracellular fluid volume has
increased.
Over fifty individual longitudinal
case studies reported noticeable
changes in health status of patients
suffering from chronic fatigue
syndrome, Crohn's disease, multiple
sclerosis, colitis, diabetes, hypertension, arteriosclerosis, migraine and several
other aging-related disorders. A most
remarkable case was a woman who
had been suffering from psoriasis
arthritis for over twenty years. She
had been given aggressive treatments,
including radiation and high levels of
cortisone. She presented with lesions
throughout her body and limited
movement in joints. She had to quit
her job and could not even handle
daily living tasks. After three months
of drinking this magnetized water,
her lesions disappeared and her range
of motion returned.

These studies and cases are all

About the Authors:

Yoshitaka Ohno, M.D., Ph.D.
Founder and President of Ohno
Institute on Water and Health,
Cleveland, Ohio. U.S.A.

Dr. Ohno is a native of Osaka, Japan,
where he received his education and
training in medicine and neuro-
pathology. Early in his medical career,
he began searching for ways to stop
the suffering of his patients with
diseases that couldn't be treated
successfully by standard medicine
and had to be managed with
multiple drugs. He began to realize
that the side effects of these drugs
were creating serious chronic
problems, as well as increasing the
body's deterioration. After extensive
study, he because convinced that
the condition of the body's water
was directly related to the state of
the body's health. While continuing
his studies, he found that the
Japanese medical community was
not placing much emphasis on
chronic diseases found commonly
among the aging population. After
receiving his Ph.D. in pathology,
he decided to enter the US and
accept a position at AMC Hospital
in Denver, Colorado, where he could continue his research in geriatric
pathology, including MRI studies on
the relationship of water and cellular degeneration. His work led him to
investigate the n Alzheimer's disease.
As a result of his work, he received
the Community Leadership Award
from the Colorado Alzheimer's
Association in 1987 and the
Humanitarian Award from the
Alzheimer's Disease International
in 1993. After discovering a
naturally magnetized water in
Japan that was being used by
physicians to treat patients,
Dr. Ohno became convinced that
this water could be a breakthrough
in dealing with diseases that
currently cannot be cured.

Howard Reminick, Ph.D.

Vice President of the Ohno Institute
Dr. Reminick was a health educator, administrator and program developer
before joining the Ohno Institute.
His specialty was medical
rehabilitation, where he planned
and developed several rehabilitation
units in hospitals and out-patient
facilities. He created an inter-
disciplinary model for rehabilitation,
which became the model for the
State of Ohio Worker's Compen-
sation Rehabilitation Division. In
1977, he was appointed as state
delegate to the White House
Conference on Disabilities. Since
1995, he has worked with Dr. Ohno
to develop and promote studies
on health problems associated
with aging. Because of his strong background in research, he was
brought to the Ohno Institute to
lead the team in research and
development of the naturally
magnetized water discovered in
Japan by Dr. Yoshitaka Ohno.
