7) A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
8) You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
9) If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10) no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.

Psalm 91
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty .
The Keywords here are: Dwelleth, Secret place, Most High, Shadow of the Almighty.
• Dwelleth : to dwell is to continue staying in a place. In the original (Hebrew) text, the word used is yashab and means "to sit down (specifically as judge, in ambush, in quiet); by implication to dwell, to remain; causatively to settle, to marry ".
• Secret place means a hiding place. The Hebrew word is sether or sithrah and refer to "a cover, hiding place, or protection".
• Most High refers to God as the lofty or supreme being who is higher (in knowledge, power and everything) than anyone. In Hebrew to word used is El-yon .
• Shadow , tsale in Hebrew, is shade as a symbol of defence.
Psalm 91 presents the world as a battle ground where various evils occur. The passage mentions about the " terror by night ", " arrow that fly-by-night ", " pestilence ", and " destruction ". Woe to the person that walks about with blindness in such a terrible place. Apostle Paul described the situation as a war with evil spiritual forces of darkness. " For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places "( Ephesians 6:12 ).
In the ancient times, cities or nations used to have fortresses or high towers. These were places of safety. They were characterized by thick walls and high raised portions on the wall wherein a watchman would stand guard to observe and alert the people inside the wall, in case of any approaching danger.
In case of danger and you were outside the gates, you would run into the fortress for your own protection. As a born-again child of God, you also need to live in the fortress of God's Word. This world is dark and our true protection lies in the revelation of God's counsel for our lives, here and now. When one develops a closer walk with God, daily, he or she will live by the speaking of God in his or her life. When God reveals His counsel to you, that will gives you joy and out of that joy comes strength. The joy of the Lord is my strength. The revelation of God's will gives you to see and walk, not as a blind person but as one who sees. That is not the situation for many people in the world today. Their lives are opened for the devil to play around with. They are naked before forces of darkness. Defenseless. But a believer walks with God and is actually hidden in Christ. " For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God" (Colossians 3:3). 'ye' is an archaic English for plural you ,many audiences.
When you live by the counsel which God reveal to you, what you do is being done in the name of the Lord. As a believer " whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus" ( Colossians 3:17 ). That name alone is your protection and no amount of devils can defeat that. The name of the Lord Jesus is his presence and hedge around you; it is your ultimate tower of protection –" The name of the LORD is a strong tower ; the righteous run into it, and is safe" (Proverbs 18:10).
Now, having explained the above, let us read and meditate on Psalm 91. Take note that the word used in the Hebrew text for " secret place " is sether , sithrah and refers to a shelter of protection. It is because of this, that other versions like New International version Bible states, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty". When we read and understand the whole chapter, you will realise that the shelter being referred here is actually a fortress or tower. In the Jerusalem Bible, it puts it very well as follows: If you live in the shelter of Elyon and make your home in the shadow of Shaddai, you can say to Yahweh, ' My refuge , my fortress, my God in whom I trust !
And verses 14 and 15 continues to say : I rescue all who cling to me , I protect whoever knows my name, I answer everyone who invokes me, I am with them when they are in trouble ; I bring them safety and honour.
These verses clearly strike a chord with Proverbs 18:10 , " The name of the LORD is a strong tower : the righteous run into it and is safe ".

The Lord my Refuge and Fortress.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress : my God; in HIM will I trust .
• Refuge ( machaseh in Hebrew ) is a place of shelter which you can trust for your safety or protection.
• Fortress is a well-known English term which refers to a building, a fort, a tower or garrison used to provide military defence. In the Hebrew text, however, the word used is matsud and, apart from the usual meaning of fort , it also refers to " net", "capture", "fastness", " hold", "be hunted", and "snare". This somewhat seems contradictory of what a fortress ought to provide but read the interesting exposition below.
• Trust , batach in Hebrew, means " to be confident or sure", or " to be bold, ( confident, secure, sure)".
Psalm 91:2 , " I will say ..."– the testimony of being in the secret place of the Most High is a deeply personal experience; it cannot be shared as a group. There could be many people in a congregation but the experience of abiding in the secret place is personal. A day is surely coming when one will exclaim, " Lord, I helped the poor, and fed the orphans!" , as another one will exclaim, "Lord, I prophesied in your name!" but the LORD will rebuke, " I never knew you"
One can only truly enjoy the blessing of God's protection when one is in God.
God Himself is our Refuge and Fortress. One cannot have the protection without the LORD or be in the LORD without the blessing of His protection, for the poet wrote. , " in him we live, and move, and have our being." ( see Acts 17:28 )
He shall Deliver thee
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the
fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Keywords: surely, deliver, snare, fowler, noisome, pestilence.
• Deliver , natsal in Hebrew, means to snatch away (in a good or a bad sense), rescue or to save.
• Snare , pach in Hebrew, refers to a net or sheet that is laid out as a trap.
• Fowler means snare ( i.e. one who set up the trap).
• Noisome , havvah in Hebrew, means "eagerly coveting and rushing upon"; it refers to a "perverse" and "wicked" thing.
• Pestilence, deber in Hebrew, is a plague or disease .
We have the assurance that God will deliver us from the trap of the enemy and any destructive wiles which the enemy may eagerly throw at us.
Notice that God doesn't promise to prevent troubles from coming our way; God promises to deliver us from them. Troubles will be there, troubles so wide and spread everywhere like a net to engulf us and leave no room for hope. Remember Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego (Daniel 3:16-23). Daniel was now called Belteshazzar , Hananiah was called Shadrach , Mishael was called Meshach , and Azariah was called Abednego . These four Hebrew youths soon proved themselves to be exceptionally wise. As a result, they found favor with King Nebuchadnezzar. All hope must have seemed lost when they got thrown into the hungry flames of the furnace. It was not a part of a hand or a leg thrown into a furnace; but their whole bodies got thrown into the furnace ! It is in such helpless situations that the present help in time of need often shows up; "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1).
When in anxiety, when in a situation that disarms your strength , a situation which whispers, 'There is nothing you can do and there is no hope for you', it is time to open our eyes and know that there is a "fowler" behind a "snare"! When young David heard the terrifying words of giant Goliath and saw the Israeli army being challenged, he looked at Goliath and instead of seeing a huge spear and coat of mail, he saw Satan casting a spell of fear on Israelites. When we see the real enemy , and when we know the power that God has made available to us, with boldness we will stand upon the promises of God.
Now no matter how the enemy may eagerly covet to plague us with trouble, we are promised in the Word of God that "When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him". Psalm 59:19.
Amen.
What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit
O what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Are we weak and heavy laden
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he'll take and shield thee
Thou wilt find a solace there
The Love of God
We need to start the question by asking Who is God? → For only by knowing this, can we establish our relationship with Him.
• God is not bounded by time, God is able to see the past, present and future although He chooses to identify Himself as “I AM” (Exodus 3:14) → signifying His working in man in the present. He has seen all our flaws and the sins that we are going to commit, yet chose to make a covenant that bounds Himself to us.
• God is supreme → We are His creation → just the same as a car is a creation of man → the spirit of life given from God is what enables us to move, live → the energy in the fuel is what enables the car to move → if we were to destroy the car, are we condemned as murderers?
God has all the rights to do what He wills in our life. The biggest difference is the car is not made in the image and likeness of man. Hence there can be no relationship between them. Yet because we are created in the image and likeness of God, we have His attributes, His passion, His character, which enables us to have this wonderful relationship with Him. And it is because of this divine relationship, He chose to respect our free will and not bend us to follow His will.
• God is spirit (John 4:24) → and hence, we are unable to locate and see Him in this 3-dimensional world. This means whatever relationship we have with Him is one relationship that does not rely on our 5 senses.
• Because God is not bounded by time and exists outside time, what He is now, He is the same in the future, unchanging→
Hence we can rely upon Him and also trust His character → what He says He cannot ever take it back → for it is impossible for God to lie. (Numbers 23:19)
God’s love is :
Everlasting and ever enduring (Jeremiah 31:3)
• John 17:24 → God’s love for us begins before the foundation of the world and He has promised through Christ that all those He loves will be kept (John 17:12)
• Even though Isreal sins again and again, God’s love is ever enduring → Jeremiah 30:11 → God always remembers His covenant with the people of Isreal and will not make a full end.
▪ We see that in Ezekiel 16, God was speaking to the children of Isreal through prophet Ezekiel that they were committing all the evil acts by making images (verse 17), sacrifice their sons and daughters (verse.20), building shrines and high places (verse.24) and many more such that they were even worse than Sodom and Samaria (verse.46-51) and God says He will deal with them according to their sins (verse.59). → Yet God remembers the covenant He made with them purely because He is God (verse.62-63)
▪ God’s long-suffering in asking the children of Isreal to repent →Ezekiel 18:30-32
o Hebrews 6:13-20 → Made an everlasting oath that we have this strong consolation that we can flee to Him and embrace the hope given to us. → we see this parallel in Joshua 20: 1-9 → If we kill someone accidently and is running from the avenger, we run to the city of refuge and stay there till the high priest dies and then we will be released → similar to us running away from sin and until Christ the high priest dies, we will be set free.
• Dominant among His other traits
o Only emotion that makes God turn back on His own words (no matter how furious God is, He always remembers His covenant and saves a remnant .
▪ Ezekiel 5:5-17 (focus on verse 11,17) → God keeps emphasizing in His fury, “ as I live ”, “I the Lord has spoken”
▪ Ezekiel 7:4, 8:18, 9:10 (God emphasizes again and again that there will be no pity for them) → yet He has never said that they shall not be my people.
▪ Ezekiel 11:14-20 → Yet we see, God refuses to make a complete end → God is still willing to be their God .
▪ We see this also in Jeremiah 44:26-28
o Being a just Judge is by definition not compatible with being a merciful and loving God .
▪ God “cheats” → provided an escape for us because He knows we will fall and sin and without the escape and atonement He has to judge us. → Revelation 13:8 → the atonement was already provided before we even sin. The price was paid before there was a need.
▪ God “forgives” and chooses to overlook the sin (for a sin committed is a sin committed and no amount of good works or repentance can remove the penalty (Romans 6:23), yet God chooses to forgive → Ezekiel 18:20-23, 18:27-29 → note the way of the Lord→ God is providing a way out → the way of escape and refuge similar to the previous point.
▪ Our judgement is once but God’s mercies are continuous (Ephesians 5:26 and 1 Corinthians 15:31) → John 5:24-25 → has passed from death to life → we are already judged once and cannot be judged again for God is a perfect Judge and makes no mistakes and being not bound to time the judgement pronounced is eternal → He cannot give life and judge us again to death → hence our judgement is not to death but to restoration (1 Corinthians 11:32 and 1 Peter 4:17)
• Unreserved and unidirectional
o Doesn’t require our input (Ezekiel 16:8) → we were nothing when God chose us
o Based totally on Him → Ephesians 1:3-14 He chose and elected us before the foundation of the world→ Predestinated us by molding us to become sons and daughters of God by the transforming of our spirit (Ezekiel 36:26 and Philippians 1:6) all because of the good pleasure of His divine will → so that we can have redemption
o God’s oath is covenant with man, it is always about Him fulfilling it Himself.
▪ Genesis 15:6-21 → Abraham did not pass through those pieces → 1 Timothy 2:5 → There is a mediator (Christ) between God and man. But God is one (Christ had the fullness of God and came from God). → God fulfilled everything Himself regarding the atonement of sin and all the covenant is made by God through His grace.
o Free-will conflict → some people talk about being predestinated means having our free-will taken from us… But that is the wrong way of thinking, for God is supreme and His thoughts are higher than us. → We keep forgetting that we are below God and we are His creations. He is the potter , we are the clay → For example, Because we are higher than the animals, we are able to “control” their behaviour by putting variables that we can control. A cheese on a mouse trap → the mouse has to first choose to take the cheese. But we rest assured that the plans of God are better for us and we are willing to give up our free-will to follow His divine will. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Hence God ’s love is the basis of our faith.→ Here is a testimony : One of my friends is going through a really tough time and is having trouble suppressing the anger and bitterness towards another person who done her great harm. I encouraged her to push all her anger to God and allow God to absorb that part of you. → letting Him take that burden away from you. It is quite a common story for many Christians → we feel overwhelmed...and at a complete loss of what to do when certain trials come...and normally it's during this time.. we are so overwhelmed that we take a leap of faith to reach out to God...and simply pass our burdens / anger / sadness to God...trusting in Him that only He knows what is best for us... trusting that He allowed this to happen to us...and trusting our entire future forward to Him... for we don't know what is to come next... and we don't know whether the stormy days will be over...but we know that He has heard us... He knows all the hurt and things and situations we are going through...and God will make a way for us.
Amen.
Love the Love of God,
feel the Love of God,
live the Love of God.
God shall Cover you.
He shall cover thee with His feathers , and under His wings shalt thou trust : His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Keywords: Cover, feathers , wings.
• Cover , sakak in Hebrew, is to fence in or cover over, figuratively to protect, that is, defend, hedge in, join together, set, shut up.
• Feathers , ebrah in Hebrew, refers to hair-like or fluffy forms that grow on the body and wings of a bird. Feathers keep the bird warm and helps wings to have aerodynamic lift when flying.
• Wings , kanaph in Hebrew, refer to extremity , edge, or over spreading ( see Exodus 25:20 ; 1st Chronicle 6:27 ). The wings of a bird spread out when flying or when covering little ones to protect them from heat or coldness.
Yehovah God is an Eagle ; He protects and watches over us like an 🦅 Eagle –" As an eagle stirreth up her nèst, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, take them, beareth them on her wings : So the LORD alone did lead Israel "(Deuteronomy 32:12 , Exodus 19:4)
Eagles take great care for their little one. Here is an interesting note by an 🦅 eagle biologist :
The eagle parents watch their young eaglets continuously during this time, feeding and protecting them from coal, heat, and predators. If the young eaglets were left unattended at the nest , some raccoons, crows, and nocturnal great horned owls could take the small eaglets. One mama eagle, or both parents eagles, are always either sitting on the nest or perched nearby .
Surely, evil will always lurk in the dark . There will always be raccoons and crows which lie in wait to prey upon God's children anywhere and anytime, but blessed be the Great Jehovah Eagle for " He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper : the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night" (Psalm 121 : 4-6).
Yes, the LORD will cover and " hedge in " His little ones from dangers of the cold, of the winds, of the heat and of the enemies raccoons and crows . His feathers will make you warm and His wings will be stretched to completely cover you .
But what are the feathers and wings of the Lord? They are the Word of God . His Word is Truth . When it is reviewed to you, your heart can rest on it. Faith in the revelation of the truth is the shield for sons and daughters of God. Each time David was to go in battle he inquired of the LORD asking, " Shall I go ?" and whenever the LORD gave the Word, the faith of David rested on that, and it is that revealed Word which gave David victory ( 1st Samuel 23 : 1-5 ). Yes, for "God is not a man, that he should lie ; neither the son of man, that He should repent : hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?" ( Numbers 23:19). Do, our faith can rest on God's Word.. But how shall we have faith if our souls are not closed up in the secret place where God speaks His Word? For " Faith " says apostle Paul, " cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God " (Romans 10:17) .
Child of God, may you sit in His presence to hear His Word which should impart faith in your heart, and " taking the shield of faith ... you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked" (Ephesians 6:16)
As in Psalm 41 , abyssus abyssum invocat —"hell brings forth hell," or, in an alternative translation, "the deep calls unto the deep."
Psalm 41
(For the director of music. A psalm of David.)
1 Blessed are those who have regard for the weak;
the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.
2 The Lord protects and preserves them—
they are counted among the blessed in the land—
he does not give them over to the desire of their foes.
3 The Lord sustains them on their sickbed
and restores them from their bed of illness.
4 I said, “Have mercy on me, Lord;
heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
5 My enemies say of me in malice,
“When will he die and his name perish?”
6 When one of them comes to see me,
he speaks falsely, while his heart gathers slander;
then he goes out and spreads it around.
7 All my enemies whisper together against me;
they imagine the worst for me, saying,
8 “A vile disease has afflicted him;
he will never get up from the place where he lies.”
9 Even my close friend,
someone I trusted,
one who shared my bread,
has turned against me.
10 But may you have mercy on me, Lord;
raise me up, that I may repay them.
11 I know that youare pleased with me,
for my enemy does not triumph over me.
12 Because of my integrity you uphold me
and set me in your presence forever.
13 Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.
Amen and Amen.

The idea of Christians going to heaven directly after death had to come from somewhere.
Let us explore one of those misunderstood verses in the Bible, that many preachers use to convince people that their loved ones are happily in heaven right now.
https://alladvices.blogspot.com/2021/05/3-what-happens-after-death.html?m=0
Understanding death helps us not to fear it, but also not to welcome or celebrate death as many Christians do.
1) What is Death?
2) Who is in Heaven right now?
3) When shall passed-away Christians go to Heaven?
4) Is Death a Friend or Foe?
5) Apparent contradictions about the Death and Heaven

Thou shall not be afraid for the terror by night ; nor for the arrow that flieth by day. Nor for the pestilence that walk In darkness ; nor for the destruction that wasted at noonday. A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand ; but it shall not come nigh thee . Only with your eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked.( Psalm 91:5–8)
Keywords : Afraid, night, day
• Afraid is "feeling worry about the possible results of a particular situation" (from Cambridge dictionary) .
• Night , layil in Hebrew, is a twist away of (or from ) light. It is characterized by darkness and the darkness makes it difficult to see things around us.
• Day refers to day-time, when there is light. The light during daytime enables us to see things around us without difficulty.
There are calamities that happen as a result of God sending them as a "reward for the wicked" (Psalm 91:8). Often God would use natural causes as a weapon of judgement. During the Exodus , in the Old Testament period, God caused an eastern wind to blow upon the Red Sea to create a path of escape for the Israelites and God used to phenomenon to kill the Egyptians by drowning them. In the antediluvian world the fountains of the great deep were broken and persistent torrential rains caused a global flood. But Noah and his sons and their wives were saved. The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were burned to ashes as Lot and family got rescued by two angels that visited his family before the destruction. The people of Nineveh had also come close to suffering the judgement of God but were spared when they repented .
The message today is the same, “ Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized , each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."(Acts 2:38).
In all this we should notice that any calamity that is send as "a reward for the wicked" can never harm the righteous believer because it comes as punishment for wickedness . (Proverbs 12:21, 1st John 5 :18, Proverbs 16:4). However, trouble can come upon a child of God but not for punishment. To "stubble" fire is a destructive force but to "gold" it is a purifier and perfector. To the unbeliever the Lord warns that " all that do wickedly, shall be stubble and the day that cometh shall burn them up" (Malachi 4:1), but to the believer God encourages that "the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ"
(1Peter 1:7) .
The believer of God has this confidence when God tests him or her through the fire, the Lord God will be his or her strength. " I will be with him in trouble" the Lord promises, " I will deliver him, and honour him"( Psalm' 91:15) even when trouble eventually leads a believer to death as was the case with Elijah and many other servants of God it is never a loss for in a moment they find themselves in a glorious place for which they would never want to return to the suit and there is no matter how the living can be pleading to God to return their loved ones. Little wonder, saint like apostle Paul who had experienced a foretaste of the glorious realm of heaven (2nd Corinthians 12: 2–4) whilst they were alive could boldly look at death in the face and joyfully proclaim, " For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21). Surely, " Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints" (Psalms 116 :15)
I will deliver him ¶Psalm 91:14-16 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he had known My Name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him : I will be with him in trouble; I
I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my Salvation.

• Love , ( _chashaq_ in Hebrew) : to cling, that is, join (figuratively) to love, delight in; elliptically to deliver: – have a delight, (have a) desire, fillet, long, set (in) love.
In the beginning, mankind found himself in a beautiful paradise called the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve had everything – the joy, the peace and abundant prosperity. Everything around them declared the love of the Creator for them. So, although mankind was endowed with _free will_ (choice), the wise thing to do was to surrender (entrust) it back to the Father of good and righteousness. Yes, the security of mankind lay in trusting and living by the wise counsel of the Creator. Sadly however , God was doubted and man chose to take his own way. But , "there is a way which seems right unto man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (Proverbs 14:12).
Mankind despised the knowledge and counsel of the Creator and so God let him partake (experience) the fruit of the way he chose – "For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of My counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices" (Proverbs 1: 29-31).
Throughout all history, the way of man, has been filled with pain and sorrow. A few people wake up to the realization of the need to return to the will of God. Unto God they surrender their will and let Him deliver them. And in His mercy and grace, God pours His Spirit into those who repent and receive Him as their Savior. That is the most profound experience one can ever have in this world for it enables them to experience the power that connects them back to the Creator as sons of God and daughters of God – "But as many as received Him , to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe in His Name: Which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (John 1:12-13)
When one receives the Holy Spirit, he or she gets so filled with loving God that they die to the canal desires of the flesh and begin to be led by the Spirit in their daily lives (Galatians 5:24-25). By being led by the Spirit they can say like Paul said that "I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me" (Galatians 2:20).
When you are surrendered to God, you become a vessel that can accomplish His holy will and pleasure – "For it is God which working in you both to will and to do of His good purpose and pleasure" (Philippians 2:13). Each time we do something in the will of God we are doing it in His Name. When a believer receives instruction or revelation from the Lord about a situation or against an evil spirit, he can confidently declare "in the name of the Lord Jesus !" ; Demons will tremble because that believer is standing on grounds of what God has commissioned them to do. There shall be power in the words of such a person for he has known the "name" (that is will, desire, or pleasure of the Lord).
It is a wonderful thing to walk in the Spirit and love of God. Such a life enables you to become one mind with God. Your spirit will so much pulsate with the heartbeat of God that His desires will become your desires. Even when your flesh becomes unaware of what to pray for, there will be something in your deep inner being that will groan and make intercessions in the spirit. –" Likewise the Spirit also help our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself make intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that search the hearts know what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercessions for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:26-27). Is it any strange then that the Lord declares, " He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him" (Psalm 91:15)?
Saint John encourages us thus: "And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He hears us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desire of Him" (1st John 5: 14-15).
The Holy Spirit that dwells in a believer comes with a reward of "long life". That Spirit is itself eternal life. It shall be one day that all those who walked in the power of the Spirit and fully yielded to His leading, shall one day be changed to immortality: "Behold, I show you a mystery ; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound , and the dead (in Christ) shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible (body) must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality , then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" (1st Corinthians 15 verse 51 to 55)
Amen

2. Jesus Christ revealed what you can do to make God delightful: In Gospel of Matthew: 22:37-39) “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' "

The happiest people in the world is not the wealthy or famous, not the erudite or men of high positions. Happy people are those who found their hope in God not only for this world but including the world beyond.
Our joy and happiness is not merely in receiving blessing from God, but in rendering active service to our God and others *out of love* .
Just a honest " thank you"is enough. 🙏🏼
