Evidence for Ivermectin in COVID-19

 One Page Summary of the Clinical Trials Evidence for Ivermectin in COVID-19  

Ivermectin, an anti-parasitic medicine whose discovery won the Nobel Prize in 2015, has proven, highly potent, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties in laboratory studies. In the past 4 months, numerous, controlled clinical trials from multiple centers and countries worldwide are reporting consistent, large improvements in COVID-19 patient outcomes when treated with ivermectin.  Properties of Ivermectin 

1) Ivermectin inhibits the replication of many viruses, including SARS-CoV-2, influenza, and others;  

2) Ivermectin has potent anti-inflammatory properties with multiple mechanisms of inhibition; 

3) Ivermectin diminishes viral load and protects against organ damage in animal models; 

4) Ivermectin prevents transmission of COVID-19 when taken either pre- or post-exposure; 

5) Ivermectin hastens recovery and decreases hospitalization and mortality in patients with COVID-19; 

6) Ivermectin leads to far lower case-fatality rates in regions with widespread use. 

Evidence Base Supporting the Efficacy of Ivermectin in COVID-19  as of January 11, 2021  (RCT’s = randomized controlled trials, OCT’s = observational controlled trials). Every clinical trial shows a benefit, with RCT’s and OCT’s reporting the same direction and magnitude; nearly all are statistically significant.

Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance – Recommendation on Ivermectin in COVID-19

Even restricting analysis to just the 16 randomized controlled trials (totaling over 2,500 patients), the majority report a statisti-cally significant reduction in transmission or disease progression or mortality. Further, a meta-analysis recently performed by an independent research consortium calculated the chances that ivermectin is ineffective in COVID-19 to be 1 in 67 million.1  

The FLCCC Alliance, based on the totality of the existing evidence, supports an A-I recommendation (NIH rating scheme; strong level, high quality evidence) for the use of ivermectin in both the prophylaxis and treatment of all phases of COVID-19. 

 Furthermore, we encourage all regulatory agencies to review our manuscript detailing these studies above as well as the multiple population-wide “natural experiments” that occurred in numerous cities and regions after the initiation of ivermectin distribution programs.2 The widespread use of ivermectin resulted in a significant reduction in cases and mortality rates that approached pre-pandemic levels in these areas. Alterations in Gut Microbiota of Patients With COVID-19 During Time of Hospitalization

Background & aims: Although severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infects gastrointestinal tissues, little is known about the roles of gut commensal microbes in susceptibility to and severity of infection. We investigated changes in fecal microbiomes of patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection during hospitalization and associations with severity and fecal shedding of virus.

Methods: We performed shotgun metagenomic sequencing analyses of fecal samples from 15 patients with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Hong Kong, from February 5 through March 17, 2020. Fecal samples were collected 2 or 3 times per week from time of hospitalization until discharge; disease was categorized as mild (no radiographic evidence of pneumonia), moderate (pneumonia was present), severe (respiratory rate ≥30/min, or oxygen saturation ≤93% when breathing ambient air), or critical (respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation, shock, or organ failure requiring intensive care). We compared microbiome data with those from 6 subjects with community-acquired pneumonia and 15 healthy individuals (controls). We assessed gut microbiome profiles in association with disease severity and changes in fecal shedding of SARS-CoV-2.

Results: Patients with COVID-19 had significant alterations in fecal microbiomes compared with controls, characterized by enrichment of opportunistic pathogens and depletion of beneficial commensals, at time of hospitalization and at all timepoints during hospitalization. Depleted symbionts and gut dysbiosis persisted even after clearance of SARS-CoV-2 (determined from throat swabs) and resolution of respiratory symptoms. The baseline abundance of Coprobacillus, Clostridium ramosum, and Clostridium hathewayi correlated with COVID-19 severity; there was an inverse correlation between abundance of Faecalibacterium prausnitzii (an anti-inflammatory bacterium) and disease severity. Over the course of hospitalization, Bacteroides dorei, Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron, Bacteroides massiliensis, and Bacteroides ovatus, which downregulate expression of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) in murine gut, correlated inversely with SARS-CoV-2 load in fecal samples from patients.

Conclusions: In a pilot study of 15 patients with COVID-19, we found persistent alterations in the fecal microbiome during the time of hospitalization, compared with controls. Fecal microbiota alterations were associated with fecal levels of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 severity. Strategies to alter the intestinal microbiota might reduce disease severity.

First Autopsy of COVID  Vaccinated Patient Finds Every Organ of Body Infested with Spike Protein 

The first-ever postmortem study of a patient vaccinated against COVID-19 has revealed that viral RNA was found in every organ of the patient’s body, meaning that the vaccine is either ineffective or the coronavirus actually spreads faster in vaccinated individuals.

The scientific report out of Germany published by the International Journal of Infectious Diseases in June examined the autopsy of an 86-year-old man who had received a single dose of the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine but died 4 weeks later after becoming infected with the virus by a nearby patient at a hospital.

From the “First case of postmortem study in a patient vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2“:

We report on an 86-year-old male resident of a retirement home who received vaccine against SARS-CoV-2. Past medical history included systemic arterial hypertension, chronic venous insufficiency, dementia and prostate carcinoma. On January 9, 2021, the man received lipid nanoparticle-formulated, nucleoside-modified RNA vaccine BNT162b2 in a 30 μg dose. On that day and in the following 2 weeks, he presented with no clinical symptoms.

On day 18, he was admitted to hospital for worsening diarrhea. Since he did not present with any clinical signs of COVID-19, isolation in a specific setting did not occur. Laboratory testing revealed hypochromic anemia and increased creatinine serum levels. Antigen test and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for SARS-CoV-2 were negative.

But the study notes that by day 25, that vaccinated patient had tested positive for COVID-19, presumably from a nearby COVID-infected patient in his hospital room, and died of kidney and respiratory failure the following day.

SARS-CoV-2 spike proteins were present in nearly all the vaccinated patient’s organs.

“In summary, the results of our autopsy case study in a patient with mRNA vaccine confirm the view that by first dose of vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 immunogenicity can already be induced, while sterile immunity is not adequately developed,” the study concluded.

In other words, although the COVID-19 vaccine triggered an immune response within the body, it didn’t appear to stop the spread of the virus, and therefore the spread of harmful viral spike proteins, throughout the body.

This is just more bombshell scientific evidence that the COVID-19 vaccine likely does more harm than good, and may actually even accelerate the spread of the coronavirus.

The vaccine used is BNT162b2. This is the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine.

 Nous rapportons un homme de 86 ans résidant dans une maison de retraite qui a reçu un vaccin contre le SRAS-CoV-2. Les antécédents médicaux comprenaient une hypertension artérielle systémique, une insuffisance veineuse chronique, une démence et un carcinome de la prostate. Le 9 janvier 2021, l'homme a reçu le vaccin à ARN BNT162b2 modifié par des nucléosides, formulé à base de nanoparticules lipidiques à une dose de 30 g. Ce jour-là et au cours des 2 semaines suivantes, il ne présenta aucun symptôme clinique.

 Le jour 18, il a été admis à l'hôpital pour une aggravation de la diarrhée. Comme il ne présentait aucun signe clinique de COVID-19, l'isolement dans un cadre spécifique n'a pas eu lieu. Les tests de laboratoire ont révélé une anémie hypochrome et une augmentation des taux sériques de créatinine. Le test d'antigène et la réaction en chaîne par polymérase (PCR) pour le SRAS-CoV-2 étaient négatifs.

 Mais l'étude note qu'au jour 25, ce patient vacciné avait été testé positif pour COVID-19, vraisemblablement d'un patient infecté par COVID à proximité dans sa chambre d'hôpital, et est décédé d'une insuffisance rénale et respiratoire le lendemain.

 Les protéines de pointe du SRAS-CoV-2 étaient présentes dans presque tous les organes du patient vacciné.

 « En résumé, les résultats de notre étude de cas d'autopsie chez un patient avec un vaccin à ARNm confirment l'opinion selon laquelle, par la première dose de vaccination contre le SRAS-CoV-2, l'immunogénicité peut déjà être induite, alors que l'immunité stérile n'est pas suffisamment développée », conclut l'étude. .

 En d'autres termes, bien que le vaccin COVID-19 ait déclenché une réponse immunitaire dans le corps, il n'a pas semblé arrêter la propagation du virus, et donc la propagation de protéines de pointe virales nocives, dans tout le corps.
