Lord, Open My Eyes To What I Have Been Tolerating And Keep Fron Falling Into Sin

Before we pray, let's first take a moment   to listen to God's Word. And then we'll   pray together. We all grow used to the   things we surround ourselves with. The  more we expose ourselves to something   , the more familiar it becomes. And  eventually it feels normal, even when it  shouldn't. If you exercise regularly, your  body will adjust and you'll need more  resistance to keep growing stronger. But the same principle applies to your heart and mind. If you live in a dysfunctional  environment long enough, you might start believing that it's normal. The things that once made you  uncomfortable can start to feel natural. Even if you're around people who  constantly use harsh or unkind words,  over time, you might find yourself  becoming desensitized to that kind of language. You might not even realize when you begin speaking the same way, absorbing their negativity as if it were your own. This is exactly how sin  works. At first, sin is just a thought.  Something fleeting that crosses your  mind. It seems small, insignificant. Something you would never actually do. But if you entertain it, if you don't immediately reject it, it lingers. It takes root. Before you know it, the thought turns into an action, and the action turns into a habit. And when sin becomes a habit, your heart begins to harden. The things that once convicted you, the things that made you feel the weight of wrongdoing start to feel lighter, less  serious. Your conscience, which once  sounded the alarm when you stepped  outside of God's will, becomes quieter. You start rationalizing — " it's not that bad," "everyone does it," "God  understands." What once seemed like a  serious offense to God may slowly become something you justify as just a  mistake. But sin is never just a mistake.  It is a distortion, a separation, a turning away from the very Heart Of God. That is why it is so important to take an honest look at yourself. Self-reflection is not easy.  It requires humility. It requires a willingness to admit where you have fallen short. And that is something I had to do in my own life. I had to stop and look beyond my excuses, beyond my  justifications, and truly ask myself, do my actions truly reflect my faith? Do my words align with God's word? Do I speak Bible verses but fail to live by them. Does my life look like that of someone who truly walks by faith? It is one thing to claim to follow Christ, but it is another to live in a way that honors him in every area of life. I want to encourage you to pray and ask the Lord to open your eyes so that you can examine your heart, because when you allow the Holy Spirit to correct you, he will and he will do it in love. He will convict you, revealing the areas where you need to change. But you have to be willing to listen. You have to be willing to acknowledge that you cannot live like this. You cannot claim to know God while choosing to live outside of his will. You cannot say you love Jesus, but hold resentment towards someone in your life. You cannot call him Lord while  secretly entertaining sin in your heart. You cannot mix God into your life as if he is just one part of it. He must be your everything. God is not someone to be taken lightly. He is not the God who tolerates a lukewarm heart. You cannot have one foot in the world and the other in his kingdom. Jesus makes this clear in Revelation 3:16 when he says, "So because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold. I'm about to spit you out of my mouth." These are not soft words. They are a warning, a call to wake up. Take a moment to reflect on what you tolerate in your life. Because what you tolerate, you will eventually embrace. And what you embrace will shape who you become. God has not called you to be partially his. He has not asked for part  of your life. He desires all of you. Let us live in reverence of God. Let us  examine our lives through the truth of his word. Because the truth is, the things  we allow into our hearts will either draw us closer to him or pull us further away from him. And when the day comes that you stand before the Lord, will he see a heart that truly belong to him? Or will he see someone who only followed him halfway? Let this be the moment you choose him fully. No more compromise. No more excuses. No more lukewarm faith. Let this be the moment you say, "Lord, I am all yours."

 Now let us pray.

Heavenly Father, you are Mighty. You are holy. You are good beyond measure. Your power is limitless. Your wisdom  unsearchable. And your love beyond human understanding. There is none like you, Lord. No one can compare to your  greatness. No one can match your majesty. I thank you, Father, for your mercy that is new. Every morning. And your grace that that sustains me each day. Lord, I want to live for you. l want my life to bring you glory. I want to be a vessel of honor set apart for your purpose, purified and refined for your  use. But I recognize, Lord, that I am  flawed, weak, and in need of your  cleansing. I cannot do this on my own. I need you to purify me, to wash me clean, to strip away everything that does not align with your holiness. I lay down my failures at your feet. Every mistake, every regret, every  weakness. I surrender them all. I do not want to carry the weight of my own sin. I want to be free in your presence. Lord, mold me, shape me, refine me until I am fully surrendered to your will. Make me into a vessel that is pure and pleasing to you. I confess the words I have spoken that were not kind the thoughts I have entertained that were not pure. And the actions I have taken that did not honor you. Forgive me, Lord. Wash me clean. Remove every trace of sin, every impurity, every habit that draws me away  from you. Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit within me. Help me to walk in obedience   to your word. I surrender my desires, my ambitions, and my plans to you. l do not want to build my own  kingdom. I want to build yours. Strip away my selfish dreams and  replace them with your perfect will. Make me into the vessel you have designed me to be. A person who reflects your righteousness, who speaks with wisdom and love, who walks in humility and grace. Sanctify me, Lord. Set me apart for your purpose. Fill me with a deep hunger for your Word. Let it be my daily bread. The nourishment of my soul. Draw me closer to you in prayer, so that my heart becomes in tune with yours. May there be less of me and more of you, in every part of my life. Let my  thoughts be centered on you. Let my  desires align with your will. Use me,   Father, to be a light in this dark world. Help me to be an example to my family, my friends, and every person I encounter. May my life reflect your love and truth so clearly that people are  drawn to you. Let my words bring encouragement and  healing. Let my actions be filled with  kindness and grace. Let my presence carry the peace that only comes from walking with you.  Holy Spirit, ignite a fire within me to worship God with my whole heart. Do not let me grow lukewarm in my faith. Give me a passion that cannot be quenched. A desire for holiness that cannot be compromised. Empower me to walk boldly in faith. To stand firm even when the world  opposes me. Your Word calls me to bear fruit, to  reflect your spirit in all I do. So, Lord, let my life bear the fruit of the spirit. Love that is patient and kind. Joy that is unshaken by  circumstances. Peace that surpasses all understanding. Patience that endures trials without complaining. Kindness that mirrors your heart. Goodness that is pure and sincere. Faithfulness that never wavers. Gentleness that reflects your mercy. Self-control that keeps me walking in  righteousness. Let these fruits be  evident in my life, Lord. So that my life  may be a testimony of your grace. Thank you, Father, for the work you are doing in me, even when I do not see it. I trust  that you are shaping me, refining me,   preparing me, for greater things. Thank you for the promise that all things will work together for my good. I trust in you, Lord, and I will testify of your goodness for all my days. I surrender everything to you  completely. My heart, my soul, my mind, my strength. Let every part of me belong to you. Let my life bring you glory now and forever. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
