Low Back Pain Cure

Low back pain is a problem of contemporary mankind , particularly in advanced societies. A major health issue. The "malady of the century." Well over 40 million people suffer from back pain and a large number of them are often confined to bed as a result of severe back pain ; back pain results in an US$80 billion-a-year health cost to these same people.


A sophisticated " business" approach to this problem of society is ever-expanding. Well over 200,000 severe cases from this patient group are surgically operated on every year -- often for a second, third, or even a fourth time.Perhaps you have suffered already, or maybe you wish to take preventive measures. In either case, this educational presentation can be the breakthrough know-how and technology to the future prevention of the problems associated with chronic joint pains.


By applying these techniques, you could prevent the progress of the initial low back pain to the more advanced stages of disc degeneration, to the point of requiring drastic manipulative treatment or surgery.


The simple chronic low back pain or rheumatoid joint pains of the hands or knees are initial signals of the human body that should be taken very seriously. Normally, pain indicates a need to limit the activity of the region. When pain is felt in the lower back repeatedly  and often (chronic pain), in the vast majority of cases, it is an indicator that the hinge section that connects the pressure of weight of the upper body (head, neck, chest, abdomen and its contents) to the pelvis and transfers this weight onto the legs finds this burden too great. 


The pain is an indicator for either the limitation and decrease of the burden of weight of the upper body mass on the weight-bearing lumbar region (the spinal vertebrae), or the strengthening of the points of transfer of the upper body weight to the pelvis and the legs. The lower back area is the site of weight distribution between the spine, which supports all the upper body weight, and the pelvis, to which it connects. 


It is the joint surfaces that endure the impact and pressure of "force" and the muscles that have to contract and relax for the work to be done. 

The Brain and the Spinal Column. The brain is housed in the skull and the spinal cord is situated in the length of the spinal column, all the way down to the sacrum, or back bone of the pelvis. The sacrum (tailbone) is the largest  of the vertebrae that is composed from fusion of a few of the lower vertebrae. The different parts of these bone structures are connected to their counterparts above and below by ligaments and tendons.


The Disc. Lodged between these 24 vertebrae are positioned 23 soft, joint-packing discs. These discs are the spinal column's spacing and shock absorbers, as well as the roller bearings that allow one vertebra to regulate position vis-a-vis the vertebra above and below. - slipped disc.
A fundamental law of physics states that for every actions there is an equal and opposite reaction. This  law applies to the human body as well. each time you force your weight on the ground when standing, walking, or running, your feet have to put up with a similar force being transmitted to them from the ground. Each foot nullifies some of that force, but some will travel up the leg and reach the pelvis, where some more of the force is nullified in the pelvic area through the circular nature shape of the organ.
But some force travels up the spine; here the role of the discs is to dampen all that force so that nothing gets up to the brain to cause damage. 


How can a simple disc do so much work? 
The disc's water- absorbing properties allow the disc to perform its nature- allocated functions. The key element here is water. The disc absorbs water , becomes taut, and packs the joint to act as a wedge between between the vertebral column a firm anatomical unit, maintaining the normal curvatures that permit the spine to also act as a 'spring'. 
The center of gravity of the body, even with its well-packed spinal column joints, acts forward of the human body -- which is why your feet are directed to grow toward the front ! 
The muscles of the back keep pulling on the column all the time to keep the posture upright.

Consider this : Over 80 percent of all back pains are caused by muscle spasm. 

If the discs are not fully hydrated , when you are not drinking enough free-water on daily basis, and their wedge quality is poor (means lack of water inside) , it becomes the increasing responsibility of the back muscles to keep body upright. More work is done, and since water is required to keep the cation ( acid-clearing) pumps going at the same time that this water should have been used to expand the disc, pain is registered in that area. 
This pain is an indicator of a regional water deficiency that affects the muscles of the back, as well as the discs between the vertebrae that are squeezed by the pressure of the weight of the upper part of the body.

It should also be remembered that the dehydration that has produced the back pain signal can also be doing damage at other non-pain-registering sites, such as the kidney, the liver, or even the brain cells ( which are highly sensitive to even minute  levels of water deficiency). if a pregnant woman, before the stage of actual physical burden of pregnancy, has  had or develops very early chronic pain of the joints, be they the lower vertebral joints (back pain) or the fingers joints, she should consider this pain a sign of her own dehydration, which can seriously affect her child-fetus.


During the night, while you sleep, the disc absorbs water from its surroundings, because disc has no blood vessels of its own. There must be enough free-water in the region for it to be able to rehydrate itself. Normal diffusion rate of water between the membrane and outer cell is 0.001 cm per second. 
During the day, when you are upright and moving, the force of your body weight in motion ( which is more than your actual scale weight) will force water out of your discs and into the vertebrae above and below. 
This release can cause a shrinkage in height of about one and a half to two centimeters during 12 hours. Bed rest - recommended in treatment of disc problems - will prevent shrinkage and allow full rehydration of the disc. The facet joints in the back must be maintained at a delicate non-weight-bearing relationship for their movement-regulating responsibility.


A well-hydrated disc brings this about by effectively packing the joint, whereas a thin disc will force these joints to become weight-bearing : in the long run, a cause for arthritis. Click here and see page 88, Fig 6:2.

Another important effect of disc thickness through adequate hydration (daily water intake) is the maintenance of a well-sized aperture or foramen on the side between the two vertebrae, above and below, allowing the nerve to pass through without being squeezed or  'pinch nerve'.


The disc is composed of an outer fibrous material and an inner pulpy substance . Between the pulpy substance of the disc and the bone plate of the vertebra lies a layer of cartilage. 
In fact, a layer of cartilage covers the exposed bone surfaces that come in contact with one another, most particularly at the joint surfaces of the vertebrae, the hands, the arms, and the legs.
Cartilage stores a large quantity of water, which gives it the easy gliding and lubricating property it possesses.

You be the Judge again ....welcome relief

  On June 29, I hurt my back. On June 30, 1995, in a lot of pain I called my medical doctor. he was closed and couldn't see me until July 3. On June 30, I went to chiropractor. he took X-rays, gave treatment, and I received some relief.

  On July 3, I saw my medical doctor. He examined me, then sent me to a physical therapist for three different days. I had some relief, not much.

  Returned to medical doctor on July 10, still in pain. He gave me some more pain pills, he had me take X-ray of lower spine, plus CAT-scan of lower spine. He  also sent me back to physical therapist for three more days. Again some relief.

  July 13, still in pain. Medical doctor sent me to have MRI on back. Also during this time I had two more chiropractor treatments. During all the above time I was on pain pills twice a day.

My wife remembered reading in Dr.Julian Whitaker's Health and Healing Newsletter ( March 1995, Vol.5, No3), where he mentioned your book, " How to Deal with Back Pain & Rheumatoid Joint Pain." Welcome Relief for Low Back Pain

Mr. Winkler's immediate relief of pain, which had bothered him for some time, was also a joyful experience for him. His understanding of the condition and recognition of the value of selective exercises has maintained his total health, as well as his total relief from back pain all this time.

Dear Fereidun (sic):

I am pleased to detail the events leading up to and following your happy suggestion to me in Tehran in 1976 regarding back therapy.
My first experience with back problems came while I was pushing a manual lawn mower up a rather steep hill at my residence in Washington, D.C. in 1971 or 1972. This had followed some months of unsupervised exercise during which I had undoubtedly strained my back. Following the lawn mower incident I saw an orthopedic specialist who, following X-rays, diagnosed a ruptured disk. he set forth a course of exercise which I followed for a while and then gave up. He also said i must sleep on my side in a fetal position or on my back with one or two pillows under my knees.

I arrived in Tehran in the spring of 1973 and shortly thereafter began regular swimming. This helped but I still continued to have sieges of several weeks to several months when I was in considerable pain, was unable to lift anything and gradually got relief through a back brace and restricted activity. During these sieges my body was quite twisted.

It was during one of these attacks that you and I were together at a dinner party and, noticing my twisted condition and obvious discomfort, you suggested a different approach. I told you that I was sleeping only in a fetal position because of the doctor orders. You drew some skeletal diagrams on a piece of paper and advised me to try sleeping on my stomach with a pillow under my chest and another pillow under my thighs. I recall telling you that this totally contradicted the directions I had been given and that I was concerned lest I really damage myself. In any event when Peggy and I went hoe we discussed your counsel and she said something to the effect of  "What can you lose, since you are obviously in terrible pain?" So I tried your method.  I could only remain in your rather uncomfortable position for about 45 minutes and was, of course, unable to sleep  in the position. You had told me this probably would be sufficient. it was. The next morning I was fine. Since then I have had fewer and less intense back sieges  (although I was once again diagnosed following X-rays  by a different Washington orthopedic physician as having a ruptured disk) and each time I try a short period on my stomach with pillows under the chest and thighs. It seems to work. I do credit swimming - four to five miles each week - with a significant contribution to my back situation but whatever the reason, I am able to carry heavy suitcases during the frequent trips we take and am uninhibited by my back.

I want to personally thank you for saving my life. There are very few good doctors with any integrity left. It is all about the money. I forgot if I got your website from Kevin Trudeau's Book or Bottom Line Health it does not really matter. It is only important that I found you. Two years ago, it seemed as though it happened over night but my symptoms were gradually becoming more noticeable over time, starting in my teens I thought it was just old age creeping up on me. First it started with knee injuries then my upper back and neck started really bothering me at 41 years of age. I had been in a car wreck 5 or 6 years prior to these symptoms I thought it was result of the wreck, sometimes this does not show up for several years. The headaches were miserable. Always in my neck , back of the head and top of the head. It seemed like I went for a solid year and had a headache everyday. I went to Orthopedic, Chiropractor, Neurosurgeon, and General Doctor. Had and MRI done that said I had a mild bulging disk in my neck C6, slight herniation at T3 and T4 and a mild herniation at T8,T9. T3 and T4 were off the midline.T6 was the worst of all as far as inflammation and being out of place the MRI said nothing about it but the chiropractor had to constantly pop it back in. You could see it on x-ray. I was going to a chiropractor 2 times a week some of the things the chiropractor told me made some sense. He told me to quit drinking coffee and cokes and drink water. He wanted me to start working out which I know a strong back does help. However none of these specialists really helped me very much. They really did not listen to what I was telling them as with most doctor's they are only treating symptoms and not getting to the rout cause and getting rich in the process. I kept telling them just the slightest of activity and my back would be out of place and my head was about to explode, I told my Chiropractor I would roll over in bed and jump out of place and that my neck was constantly popping and felt like I had grit in it. It felt like I was sleeping on a concrete pillow at night I could never get comfortable. I also told the neurosurgeon this he said he could bring a dozen 45 year old men off of the street and none of them would be any worse off than I was. I knew this was not normal I felt helpless. I tried several other natural remedies, CMO for one it did nothing , then I ordered your Biotape it did nothing however you sent me two packages of sea salt, I thought nothing of it and threw it on the counter it set there for three weeks. Then one day I decide to follow your instructions and start taking this with non-chlorinated water. Within 4 or 5 days I could tell a noticeable difference. Not only did it seem like my back was better but my energy level was out the roof, the headaches started getting less and with less severity. I have been taking sea salt for about 3 months I am almost completely healed it is amazing and so are you. Thank you so much. My mom had the worst case of arthritis I had ever seen she has past away. Neither my mom nor I ever ate much salt because doctors are constantly telling us it is bad for us and table salt may be. However I only wish I could have found you sooner I watched her suffer the last 15 years of her life and now I know the answer. My mother was a coca cola addict that may have been my biggest challenge if I could go back in time. I always told her I thought the cokes were a lot of her problem, then I had no research to back it up it was only a guess. I know now she was severely dehydrated. For me personally I will never drink soft drinks or coffee again maybe an occasional cup of decaf. It will only be non chlorinated water and a pinch of sea salt a couple time a day. If I had not received this miracle from you, I would either be insane or dead. Dear Bob Butts, I have been meaning to tell you about my back problems. I have been experiencing back pain for about 20 yrs. Each year it got worse and worse. 2 yrs ago it got so bad I was going to have to go on state disability. I have been a hard working construction worker for years and the thought of being unable to work was sending me into depression. About 1 yrs ago my friend told me about the water cure for my asthma, several days after starting the cure I noticed my back pain was gone. This was amazing!! I have recently purchased Dr. B's books on the water cure and begun drinking water and using salt as per his instructions. Yesterday and today I have been aching all over, especially in my joints and lower back, which I injured 35 years ago. I have a ruptured disc which bothers me when the weather changes or if I strain it with housework or garden work. I have done the pillow exercises Dr. B. recommends, and they helped some, but it's mostly the all over aching that is keeping me down. I have tried all my life to eat a good diet, don't smoke or drink or use caffeinated drinks. Do you think this could be a "cleansing reaction"? Is this a typical reaction after starting the program for about two weeks? Please let me know since I seem to be getting worse instead of better! Thanks so much for your time.

What do you weigh and how much water and salt are you using? Are you spreading your water throughout the day? You may need more sea salt. You aren't using regular salt, are you? Joint and lower back problems are 99% due to salt and/or water deficiency. I alsways suggest for severe joint pain that adding Knox Gelatin to your diet will accellerate the healing. Gelatin is ground up cartilege which is comprised mainly of salt and water. Stay in touch till you are 99% and then you can refer others to this site. Problems like yours are usually ver simple to get rid of. Read the testimonial letters and especially the Biser interview.

Guess what? I emailed Dr. B. and he told me to take more salt too, so I began using the Celtic sea salt in addition to 1/2 my body weight (150) in ounces of water spaced throughout the day, and after about 24 hours I felt my back pop, and it's not hurting so bad. I think the vertebrae went back into place, which relieved the pressure on my sciatic nerve, which was inflamed. So it may take a few days to get back to normal, but at least the miserable pain is gone. How about that? I have a book on Celtic sea salt, which I just began rereading, but I am a true believer now in the water/salt cure. Thank the Lord! I have been in bed for four days with this pain, I don't like to take medicine or go to medical doctors or even chiropractors if I can avoid it. But I was about ready to, until this. Will keep you posted and also take the Knox gelatin; my husband went and bought me a big box. Thanks for your interest and concern; it helps to know someone out there cares.

P.S. I eat a pretty good diet, no alcohol, caffeine, or smoking. I have tried to eat a vegetarian diet, but can't seem to give up meat. I am just trying to eat more healthfully now (more vegetables) and adding a glass of carrot/celery juice once a day as well. Any thoughts or suggestions will be gratefully accepted!

My wife Carol and I will be forever grateful for showing us the most simple, economical way to better health. To think, all you have to do is drink eight glasses of water and one quarter teaspoon of salt per quart per day. I now know that anyone who does this will notice a considerable improvement in their health. I have yet to hear anyone who has taken that advice say they haven't noticed a difference. It works. You just have to do it. No one can do it for you. Also, people who are looking for better health through water must be made aware of the variables. For every cup of coffee I drink, I also drink an added glass of water. For every glass of soda, I do the same. After a short time you lose the taste for these other drinks.

I remember the first time I drank diet soda. I hated the taste. Because that's all my family used to buy, I started to acquire a taste for it. Then I hated the taste of regular soda. The same holds true when you start to drink water on a regular basis. Now I can't stand the taste of any soda. I never would have thought the day would come when I would enjoy a tall glass of cold, FILTERED, water with a pizza pie. That's right! I can't even drink soda with pizza. Water tastes much better. I still enjoy two cups of coffee in the morning, but I drink a glass of water before each cup. Some of the benefits we've reaped from taking your advice are 99% less back pain, a higher energy level, the absence of severe migraine headaches, and finally a thirst that needs quenching. For the past twenty years I never drank because I was thirsty. I drank because I believe drinking diet soda becomes habitual. Since I started drinking water I found that I drink because I'm actually thirsty. That alone amazes me.

My wife suffered for years with severe migraine headaches. She used to lay in bed with the drapes drawn for a day or two. I wouldn't even go into the bedroom for fear of waking her if she should be sleeping. It used to break my heart to see her suffer like that knowing there wasn't anything I could do for her. After trying everything under the sun for some simple relief, she started drinking water in the amounts you recommended. Low and behold, she starting experiencing relief for the first time in years.

I was diagnosed as having a herniated disc. I will never ever forget the pain that used to shoot down my legs if I moved the wrong way. There were times my wife had to put my socks on me in the morning. Then I would have to crawl out of bed. I couldn't sit in a chair, any kind of chair, for six months. If I was standing when the pain hit it would knock me right to the ground where I would stay until I could muster up the courage to crawl to the couch or bed. Sometimes I would just lay where I was for hours. To get to the doctors I had to lay on my stomach in the car. I had to eat at the kitchen table standing up. Now don't get me wrong, the doctor helped me. The pills I took for inflamation and the pills I took for pain helped. At the time, I couldn't have endured without them. Here's what I'm saying. The first year I had a perscription for the original bottle and three refills, all of which were used in one year. The second year I started drinking the water and I used only one bottle of pills in one year. I really think I could have done without those pills the second year but the pain was so horrendous it seemed as if I needed that little bit of extra insurance once in a while if I felt the slightest twinge in my buttocks. (That's where the pain would always originate.)

I'm convinced the pills eased the pain at the time but the water aided in the cure. The reason I say aided is because I also had to start walking and exercising. When I saw the big improvement in my health I almost naturally started eating more of the right foods. It seems as if everything starts falling into place once you make it a way of life. I'm not a health purist. I still smoke. But you know what? I smoke less. I still don't live or breathe or eat every hour of the day in the way that's s best, but, overall I'm in much better health now than I was a couple of years ago.

For the most part, everything in moderation never killed anyone. I even started bowling a couple of months ago. At one time I was convinced I would never be able to pick up a sixteen-pound bowling ball and throw it down an alley. I owe this new way of life to you, Bob Butts. Thank you! I'm writing you this letter in the hope other people will see it and maybe it will motivate them just enough to try it. If I help just one good person, it will have been worth it. I read Dr. Batman's book about 10 months ago. I found his claims astonishing but intriguing. When I read his explanation of the hydraulics of the spinal column and how dehydration compresses the disks, causing back pain, I decided to try his remedy because I suffer from ankylosis spondylitis (a form of rheumatoid arthritis), and from mild hypertension.

Believe me, it was not easy to drink the required water each day, simply because I had not been a big water drinker. I forced myself to do it and was rewarded for my effort, I have had no sever flare-ups on my spinal column since I began the water regime. You had to have been in my shoes to appreciate what this means to me. Being laid-up with spinal vertebrae inflammation many times each year, and as a result resembling "a walking comma" is very debilitating and painful. My elevated blood pressure has also returned to normal.

I consider Dr. Batman's information as God-sent. It is my prayer that you too will benefit from his pain-relieving and life-extension revelations.

Adults should drink at least eight, 8 oz. glasses per day to hydrate their body. Dr. Batman also reminds us to make sure that you have at least 1/4 teaspoon of salt per day in your food intake to help your body utilize the added water intake. The salt is crucial. Always drink water between meals, and not with meals. Dr. Batman recommends you drink at least a half-hour before meals and about 2 1/2 hours after meals, for best results. This time schedule of water intake will help digestion rather than dilute it.

Also, don't think for a moment that drinking coffee, soda pop, diet colas, tea, or fruit drinks is a substitute for water. When Dr. Batman prescribes eight, 8 oz. glasses of water, he means just that. Most coffee, pop and tea are dehydrating drinks. In other words, they're diuretic; their liquid isn't available to irrigate your system because of the caffeine and/or phosphates they contain. If you cannot give up these dehydrating liquids, just make certain you don't count their intake as part of your eight, 8 oz. glasses of water each day.

I consider Dr. Batman's information as God-sent. It is my prayer that you too will benefit from his pain-relieving and life-extension revelations.

I would like to thank you and share with you the significant progress I have enjoyed in the healing of my back. While reading your book, Your Body's Many Cries for Water, I learned of your other book, How to Deal with Back Pain and Rheumatoid Joint Pain.

Following your suggested exercises - plus a few of my own - and drinking the amount of water you suggest as well, I am pleased to report that I have enjoyed much more strength and a lot less pain in my back.

I had a back injury well over twenty years, while helping to lift a piano for a friend. It seems that one of the disks in my lower back was crushed or badly damaged. It had gotten progressively worse over the years to a point a couple of years ago when it would go into spasms - rendering me unable to walk. Te pain is excruciating. This would usually be triggered by a slight amount of lifting - especially front on. If I bent over and lifted something much over 10 pounds, I would be in trouble for some days.

Upon starting your suggested back exercise program about a year and a half ago, I saw slow but consistent progress. last summer was the acid test. Ten and a half years ago, I retired as an atomic clock researcher in Boulder, CO, and bought a farm in central Utah - near my hometown and family. My wife and I have pretty much had others run the farm until this last summer, but circumstances arose that we needed to run it. This including moving 30-feet-long irrigation pipes, baling and hauling three crops of hay. The farm is not big enough to be modernized, so my sons and I with some hired help were hand lifting 90-pound bales of hay up on a truck and hay wagon - with hay leaves down my sweating neck and all. We had to also lift them into the hay barn - harvesting well over a thousand bales. having been raised on a farm, I have never minded hard work and this was hard.

There is no way that I could have done that the year before, and it actually felt good to be able to do this hard work. I have always tried to keep myself in good physical condition, but some years ago i had to even stop jogging because it hurt my back too much. Now I can also run again without serious pain. Considering also that I am 66 years old, I feel that the whole thing is pretty remarkable and I thank you for the tremendous assist in my recovery. i am far from all the way better, but the trend is right and my back is getting stronger all the time. This morning and yesterday I shoveled about a foot of snow off of our walk way with no significant back pain. I haven't been able to do that for years.

You suggested extra weights on the feet as one does the back exercises. I just wear shoes and have a three-pound weight in each hand to strengthen my upper body while I am at it. The extra exercises that I do in addition to yours are all towards strengthening the back muscles and for general cardiovascular and lymph system circulation improvement.
These include :
1) Lying on each side and doing scissors with my free arm and leg in circular motion as well as up and down;
2) sit ups and leg lifts while lying on my back;
3) push ups from the knees and the toes with particular emphasis on flexing and using the lower back muscles - activating the osmotic pumping of water action as you suggest for the lower back;
4) jumping jacks, touching the floor with the weights in my hands, and cross touching the right hand to the left foot while straddled, and vice-versa;
5) doing a variety of jumping exercises on a re-bounder, which is excellent for the lymph system circulation; and
6) then a variety of stretching exercises to keep the whole body limber.

I add to these walking with my wife, cross-country skiing, and mountain bike riding every day when the weather permits. We can usually do one of these most days of the year.

It feels so good to feel good. Life has been really good to me, and a good health allows me to better serve and do those things that I feel are most important. I love to express my gratitude by serving, and you can't do that very well lying on your back in pain. Thanks again for helping so significantly to take that pain away. Water, the Remarkable Panacea!

It seems too good to be true that such a simple procedure (drink eight eight-ounce glasses of water a day) could provide such astounding benefits. From a preventative, as well as curative point of view, the list: is most impressive: digestive system problems; pain from arthritis, lower back, neck, angina, and headaches; stress related problems and depression; high blood pressure and hypertension; excessive cholesterol levels and many heart problems; excess body weight and over-eating problems; asthma and allergy problems; nerve disorders, including multiple sclerosis (MS); both insulin-dependent and insulin-independent diabetes and improper tryptophan balance; the latter may tie to the prevention and cure of AIDS; and lastly, but not the end of the list, is the BIG C (cancer).

Your Body's Many Cries for Water, by Fereydoon Batmanghelidj If this seems overly simplistic, I understand. I felt exactly the same way before reading Dr. F. Batmanghelidj’s book, Your Body’s Many Cries for Water with subtitles: You are not sick, you are thirsty! and Don’t treat thirst with medications. I would suggest that you read his book. Even though the book is written for a lay audience, it is quite technical. Quoting from one of a large number of inspiring testimonials in this book (several of whom are Doctors), M.D. Dan C. Roehm says, "...it is very apparent that this work is revolutionary and sweeps nearly all diseases before it. As an Internist/Cardiologist I find this work incisive, trenchant and fundamental. This work is a God send for all."

Dr. B (Batmanghelidj), as he is known by many of his associates, has had a remarkable career path. Born in Tehran, Iran in 1931, he was schooled in Edinburgh, Scotland and at St. Mary’ Hospital Medical School of London University. Immediately before the revolution in 1979, he was engaged in the completion of a family charity medical center, the largest medical complex in Iran. The revolutionary government put him in prison. It was there, in prison, that he began his research on the benefits of proper hydration in the human body. He had an unusual clientele with the high stress level of the prisoners – many of them suffering from abdominal pains, peptic ulcers, and numerous other problems. Because of his excellent success in treating his fellow prisoners, his execution was delayed. When his trial came, he presented the judge with an article on water treatment of peptic ulcers. This saved his life so that he could continue his research, and he was released from prison. The article was sent to a professor of gastroenterology at Yale University, and later published in the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, and then in the science section of the New York Times.

He escaped from Iran so that he could continue his research in America, where he has now published several books and numerous scientific papers. Interestingly, in his research, he has also uncovered the inappropriate activities of the pharmaceutical industries and the American Medical Association (AMA) to promote medicine at the expense of health. For example, he now has enough well documented information to pull together a class-action suit, should he choose to do so, against the medical community in how they are mistreating patients with hypertension. This potentially could be much like the class-action suit that smokers pulled together against the tobacco industry in 1995, and won!

Are these inappropriate activities being promulgated in innocence? Yes, but not totally, as many of them have been made aware of Dr. Batmanghelidj’s work, and they ignore it anyway. In addition to reading Dr. B’s books, one can find out more about his organizations activities on their web site as listed at the end of this book report.
Here, I will only give brief synoptic information from the above cited book. One really needs to read this book to better appreciate his work. This synopsis is written with the intent to help promulgate health, happiness and a better understanding of the marvelous miracle the body is. We learn from Dr. B that we cannot have optimum health without proper hydration, and if we are sick or diseased, it is a lot harder to be happy. Billions of dollars are spent on health, yet in water and its proper utilization for our bodies we could avoid much of these expenditures by understanding how our bodies work and its critical need to be properly hydrated. He further points out that most drugs and medications treat only the symptoms of illnesses and do not provide a cure. This is often because the medical community does not recognize that the proper cure could come from proper hydration of the body in many instances.

He points out the doctors take an oath to serve mankind, but the "business of America is business" – making money. They have no right, but some of them are doing it anyway, to "obstruct the simple message of ‘you are not sick, you are thirsty,’ from reaching a wider cross-section of the public. They have no business converting the pain and suffering of their fellow man into accumulative commercial practices..." to protect their own interests and profiteering motives.

This marvelous mechanism we call the body has a priority sequence in how it uses the water we give it. This is so that it can function as well as possible in the state of water shortage, which exists for most people – not being aware of their bodies need for more water nor being aware of its many "cries" indicators of it being in a state of dehydration. The first priority is the brain. Though the brain is only 2% of our body weight, it gets about 20% of the blood flow and is the first to be hydrated so that it can properly sense and prioritize the utilization of water for the rest of the body.

"...there is a mechanism for establishment of priority for circulating blood to any given area.. The order is predetermined according to a scale of importance of function. The brain, lungs, liver, kidneys, and glands take priority over muscles, bones, and skin in blood distribution... When we do not drink enough water to serve all the needs of the body, some cells become dehydrated and lose some of their water to the circulation... In water shortage and body drought, 66 % is taken from the water volume normally held inside the cells; 26 % is taken from... outside the cells; and 8 % is taken from blood volume." The long-term consequences of this dehydration is various kinds of disease. These illnesses and the pains associated therewith are then really our body crying for water.

For complete health our bodies need proper hydration, proper diet, proper rest and environment, and proper exercise. He also points out how stress in conjunction with dehydration brings on a variety of diseases – many of them digestive-system related.
In regard to diet, he further points out the large misunderstanding we have is "[in] advanced societies, thinking that tea, coffee, alcohol, and manufactured beverages are desirable substitutes for the purely natural water needs of the daily ‘stressed’ body is [a]... catastrophic mistake... [They]... contain dehydrating agents. They get rid of the water they are dissolved in plus some more water from the reserves of the body! One of the diseases of dehydration is to confuse the sensations of thirst and hunger. We think we are hungry and eat when we are actually thirsty. Aspartame and saccharin have similar effects – tricking the brain into thinking it has sugar when it doesn’t. For example, the diet and/or caffeine drinks confuse the body into thinking it is hungry when it is actually simply asking for water. This is the cause of a large number of people getting large (overweight). If when we go for a snack, we would get a drink of water instead, we would undoubtedly be a far healthier people – a simple but far reaching change of behavior.

Also, "Caffeine has diuretic properties. It... acts on the kidneys and causes increased urine production. It is physiologically a dehydrating agent. This characteristic is the main reason a person is forced to drink so many cans of soda every day and never be satisfied. Thinking they have consumed enough ‘water’ that is in the soda, they assume they are hungry and eat more than their body’s need... causing a gradual gain in weight..." Alcoholic beverages do basically the same thing – put the body in a state of dehydration and confusion.
In regard to exercise, he says, "Walking two times a day – every 12 hours – will maintain the activity of the hormone sensitive fat burning enzyme (... lipase) during day and night and help clear away the excess lipid deposits in the arteries." The walking can be replaced, if desired, with an equivalent aerobic exercise. He has several testimonials where people have accomplished significant weight loss (proper "fat-burning") and great health gains by simply cutting out all sodas, by drinking enough water, and by having proper exercise. Of course, a reasonable diet needs to be followed as well, but the body moves in the right direction when it is treated as it was designed to be.

In regard to diet, he treats the body chemistry in general terms as well as in specifics as dehydration affects and is the cause of many of our main diseases. In this context, the book becomes quite complex, but is very interesting as you see the wonderful harmony of how all the body functions work together when in a properly hydrated state – bringing about the prevention of most diseases.

As is well known, there are 20 amino acids (AA) needed by the body. Twelve are manufactured by the body – three in limited quantities. The other eight need to be imported from food intake. A critical one of these eight is tryptophan. "The brain tryptophan content, and its various by-product neurotransmitter systems, are responsible for maintenance of the ‘homeostatic balance of the body.’ Normal levels of tryptophan in the brain maintain a well-regulated balance in all functions of the body – what is meant by homeostasis. With a decrease in tryptophan supply to the brain, there is a proportionate decrease in the efficiency of all functions in the body.

"Depression and some mental disorders are the consequence of brain tryptophan imbalance. Prozac used in some mental disorders... is a drug that stops the enzymes that break down serotonin, a byproduct of tryptophan. When more serotonin is present, all nerves function normally. However, Prozac cannot replace the indispensable role of tryptophan itself... Hydration of the body, exercise and the intake of right foods help replenish brain tryptophan reserves... Chronic dehydration causes its loss from the pool of different amino acids held in the body." He also points out that stress can cause a dumping of the AAs and that "tryptophan seems to be one of the most important" ones that gets dumped.

As an important aside, Ann Blake Tracy in her book, PROZAC, Panacea or Pandora? says that the side effects from using PROZAC can be devastating, listing: Agitation, Akathisia (need of movement, suicidal tendencies, and tendencies of violence), Atazia (defective muscular coordination), Asthenia (loss of strength), Depersonalization (the belief that one’s own reality is temporarily lost), Hypesthesia (lessened sensitivity to touch), Hypoglycemia (deficiency of sugar in the blood), Hypomania (mild mania and excitement with moderate change in behavior), Hysteria, Mania, Neuralgia (severe sharp pain along the course of a nerve), Neuropathy (disease of the nerves), Paranoia, Psychosis, and Tremors. This is one of many drugs approved by the FDA, and which treat symptoms – and provide no cures – but which can have very serious side effects on one’s health. It is so important that we take our own health into our own hands.

"One must consume the full range of AAs to build the ‘reserve pool’ in due time... The best proteins are those stored in the germinating seeds of plants, such as lentils, grains, beans, etc." From my perspective, the consumption of raw foods from a plant based food selection approaches the ideal diet for optimum health. He says that, "Carrots (for their beta-carotene content) are an essential dietary requirement. Beta-carotene is a precursor for vitamin A and absolutely essential for liver metabolism, apart from its need by the eyes." Potassium is also essential; but not too much. It can be obtained from orange juice or bananas. In addition, he discusses the importance of the omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. These are needed for the manufacture of cell membranes, hormones and nerve coverings in the body. Flax seed and flax seed oil are excellent sources for these.

In the book, the various chapters work through the body chemistry and the effects of dehydration and proper hydration as it relates to sickness and health. For example, there is a chapter on the digestive system; one on rheumatoid arthritis, lower-back pain, neck pain, anginal pain, and headaches; one on stress and depression; one on high blood pressure and hypertension; one on cholesterol and why people tend to overeat; one on asthma and allergies; one on both insulin-independent diabetes and insulin-dependent diabetes – showing the very important relationship to the AA tryptophan in the body; one on AIDS and that HIV is a misnomer; and a general chapter on dealing with insomnia, fainting, heart attacks, the fallacy of a salt-free diet, our health care systems and the enormous savings that could be appreciated if everyone understood and applied this new "water-cure" paradigm. In the beginning of the book, he makes the intriguing statement that, "Morning sickness of the mother is a thirst signal of both the fetus and the mother." Hence, expectant mothers that have been continually drinking caffeine, diet-free, or alcoholic beverages, put themselves in a state of dehydration – thus increasing the probability of morning sickness and of exacerbating the problems associated therewith. Interspersed throughout the book are other very important discussions around cancer, Alzheimer’s, osteoporosis, puffiness of the eyes and swelling of the ankles, muscle cramps, the balance of salt and water for healthy cell regeneration, hydration, and sustenance, and providing the proper balance for all aspects of the reproductive process. He says that, "If bulimics begin to rehydrate their [bodies] well and drink water before their food, [their] problem will disappear."

He has some astounding bullet statements in the book like:
Excess cholesterol formation is the result of dehydration.
The present way of treating hypertension is wrong to the point of scientific absurdity.
Dehydration is the number one stressor of the human body – or any living matter.
Alcohol will suppress the secretion of vasopressin from the pituitary gland. Lack of vasopressin in circulation will translate to general dehydration of the body – even the brain cells.
It is... more prudent to attend to our daily water intake... than to what foods we eat.
He recommends eight to ten eight-ounce glasses of water per day – depending, of course, on body size. For each ten glasses of water, he recommends one-half teaspoon of salt. It is better to drink the water away from meals (½ hour before and about 2 hours after). It takes a lot of water to help properly digest food, but the body needs to be well hydrated before. Often, people drink their water with their meals – feeling thirsty mid-way through. Then, he says, "It is already too late, because the damage is registered by the cells lining the blood vessels." He says, "If we begin to appreciate that for the process of digestion of food, water is the most essential ingredient, most of the battle is won. If we give the necessary water to the body before we eat food, all the battle against cholesterol formation in the blood vessels will be won."

He has an extensive and fascinating discussion of the importance of water filtration into each of the cells in their myriad, miraculous, and diverse functions in a healthy, well-balanced, hydrated body. He says, "...water regulates the volume of a cell from inside. Salt regulates the amount of water that is held outside the cells – the ocean around the cell. There is a very delicate balance process in the design of the body in the way it maintains its composition of blood at the expense of fluctuating the water content in some cells of the body. When there is a shortage of water, some cells will go without a portion of their normal needs and some others will get a predetermined rationed amount to maintain function (... the mechanism involves water filtration through the cell membrane). However, blood will normally retain the consistency of its composition. It must do so to keep the normal composition of elements reaching the vital centers."

Current traditional medical thinking is that water acts as the conveyor of various essential minerals in solution to the sundry parts of the body. Dr. B. says, "This is where the ‘solutes paradigm’ is inadequate and goes wrong. It bases all assessments and evaluations of body functions on the solids content of blood. It does not recognize the comparative dehydration of some other parts of the body. All blood tests can appear normal and yet the small capillaries of the heart and the brain may be closed and cause some of the cells of these organs a gradual damage from increasing dehydration over a long period of time." It is my surmise that this may be a significant contributor to Alzheimer’s disease.

He goes on to say, "When we lose thirst sensation (or do not recognize the other signals of dehydration) and drink less water than the daily requirement, the shutting down of some vascular beds is the only natural alternative to keep the rest of the blood vessels full. The question is, how long can we go on like this? The answer is, long enough to ultimately become very ill and die. Unless we get wise to the paradigm shift and professionally and generally begin to recognize the problems associated with water metabolism disturbance in the human body and its variety of thirst signals, chronic dehydration will continue to take its toll on both our bodies and our society!"
Dr. Batmanghelidj now has other books, which are a continuation of this one – reporting their ongoing research. For myself, I am very happy that our dear friends, Doug and Charlotte Brown, told us about this book. I can now see where I have not been drinking near enough water over the course of my life. Just in the short time I have been following his recommended amount, I can see some significant benefits. For instance, I have been dealing with a lower back pain for many years – that can go into muscle spasms, and when it does, I cannot even walk. I can already see an improvement there. I believe this book contains very important information which everyone should know about, and hence, I have taken the time to write this report.

It has been one year since I first read your book, which was given to me as a present by Marcel Thevoz. Since then my health has improved significantly. I am now 52 and in excellent health. This was not the case before your book and Marcel's kindness inspired me to make water an integral part of my life.

To most people I was successful and in excellent health - normal weigh, unusual strength and endurance, above average at sports, with an excellent diet( a lot of fresh vegetables and whole grains and very little meat, animal products or processed food). Yet my list of complaints stretches over the last fifty years and includes duodenal ulcer (age 19), indigestion, colon and elimination problems (age 19-51), food allergies (age 12-17), chronic sinus infections (age 5 - 51), chronic and acute back pain problems (age 13- 51), emotional illness and mental confusion (age 6- 51).

These problems were even more bewildering and confusing because I am intelligent, educated, and motivated to find solutions to problems. I have been searching for answers to those problems for 35 years. I have looked for answers in diet, supplementation, exercise, yoga, meditation, traditional religion, spiritual practices, acupuncture, traditional medicine, chiropractic, massage, Reike, polarity balancing, 12-step programs, and self-improvement books and courses such as EST and the Hoffman Quandrinity process.

I had , of course, read many times about the importance of drinking plenty of water. I even invested in a reverse osmosis (RO) water filter six years ago hoping that the improved taste of the municipal water would motivate me to drink more water. In spite of this, I never gave water therapy a fair chance. Until I read your book, other beverages always looked better to me, particularly tea and coffee.

At that time I read your book I had a chronic nerve injury in my upper back that intermittently prevented me from playing golf or racquetball for a period of two years. My arm strength was about 1/3 of what it had been only two years previously. I was at a low point in my life physically and mentally.

I have never drunk in my life or smoked more than 5 cigarettes in a day. At that time I was not smoking or drinking any alcohol. Yet, I found myself obsessed with thoughts of caffeine, smoking and drinking. Although I have been a frequent visitor at chiropractic, osteopathic and massage therapists, I had not needed to visit medical doctor in 15 years. In my desperation I went to an M.D. who prescribed an anti-stress medication, a pain reliever and a muscle relaxant. I took the prescribed doses and fell into a semi coma for 16 hours and discontinued the medication. A few weeks latter Marcel came to my home for dinner and gave me your book.

Within one week of adding 2-3 quarts of water to my diet I noticed that:
1.The pain from the nerve injury went away and I was able to begin exercising.
2. I had much less indigestion and gas.
3. My urges and compulsive behavior lessened substantially or vanished. I no longer had to fight the urge to smoke, drink, stuff myself or use excessive amounts of caffeine.
4. My energy level improved.
5. My thinking and work improved.

Prevent Dehydration Dis-Eases and Diseases

How Dehydration caused Dis-eases
Persistent unintentional dehydration leaves its damaging impact in the fourth dimension of time. Caught in time, these Dis-eases conditions can be reversible , as you read and follow the simple re hydration daily.

Our human body manifests its water shortage by four(4) categories of conditions :
1. perceptive feelings;
2. drought-management programs;
3. crisis calls; and
4. complication of persistent dehydration.

1. Perceptive feelings of water shortage include : tiredness that is not the result of strenuous effort, such as feeling first thing in the morning that you do not wish to get out of the bed.
Anxiety, agitation, shortness of temper, depression, sleep disorder, craving for sodas, alcohol, and even hard drugs and agoraphobia are some of the ways our human brain reflects its water-conservation and water-regulation problems.

2. The drought-management and resource-management programs are : constipation, allergies, asthma, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and the autoimmune diseases.

3. Crisis calls : The newly understood regional thirst signals are : heartburn, rheumatoid joint pain, back pain, migraine headache, colitis pain, fibromyalgic pains , and angina pain.

4. Complications of dehydration are very extensive and include : obesity, hemorrhoids, cholesterol plagues and arterial diseases, and type 1 diabetes, as well as serious neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, neuritis, phlebitis, lymphomas, cancers, and many more.

Medicine has traditionally divided the human body study-logy into so many specialties and sub specialities based on the different body organs ' way of revealing their water shortages. Each of these groups has its own rituals for investigating within its "fiefdom." The pharmaceutical industry has accommodated physicians and has designed medications that are used in that particular "domain" of medicine. This is why, when dehydration manifest itself in more than one organ or domain of the human body, the patient is forced to see many different specialists to address his or her organ-specific symptoms. Hence the use of so many different pills and treatment procedures, in the same person, for the same underlying cause - dehydration.Here is demonstrated how water alone naturally reverses multiple health concerns.

Use Water-cure. Rather be thankful for the timely warning, and do something about it.

Drink at least 10% of your own daily water-quota (32.53 ml multiply by your present body weight(kg), every 90 minutes. Use 1/4 teaspoon of sea-salt in your daily diet, for every 1250 ml water drank.

Pain is a sign/signal produced by dehydration in the human body. Pain may be common but it is not normal.

Some of these conditions are shared below to help all healthy visitors understand ourselves and families better.

Heartburn
Dehydration Dis-ease: Heartburn is a signal of water shortage in the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract. It is a major thirst signal of the human body. The use of antacids(drug) or tablets medications in the treatment of this pain does not correct dehydration, and the body continues to suffer as a result of its water shortage.
Diseases: Not recognizing heartburn as a sign of dehydration and treating it with antacids and pill medications will, in time, produce inflammation of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum, hiatal hernia, ulceration, constipation, hemorrhoids, diverticulitis, Crohn's disease, and eventually cancers in the gastrointestinal tract, including the liver and pancreas.

Rheumatoid Joint Pain
Dehydration Dis-Ease : Rheumatoid joint pain - arthritis - is a signal of water shortage in the painful joint. It can affect the young people as well as the old people. The use of painkillers medication does not cure the problem, but exposes the person to further damage from the medications. Intake of water and small amounts of salt will cure this problem. Every 1250 ml of water can use 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt, daily. For a body weight of 76.8 kg, it needs 2500 ml of water and 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt, per day.

Low Back Pain
Dehydration Dis-Ease : Lower back pain and ankylosing arthritis of the spine are signs of water shortage in the spinal column and discs (especially 5th lumbar region) - the water cushions that support the upper weight of the human body. These conditions should first be treated with increased water intake - not by a commercial treatment of drugs, but a very effective one. Water cures pain because it rehydrate the drought conditions : Drugs kill the Body further because they cause further chemistry imbalance and dehydrating the drought cells further and compound the initial condition.

Disease: Not recognizing arthritis and lower back pain as signs of dehydration in the joint cavities of the human body and treating them as different diseases with painkillers, manipulation, acupuncture, and eventually surgery will, in time, produce osteoarthritis when the cartilage cells in the joints have eventually all died. It will produce deformity of the spine. It will produce crippling deformities of the limbs. Please bear in mind : Pain medications/drugs have their own life-threatening complications. We need not live in ignorance any more today when all the body is asking for its normal growth is plain water, not drugs.

Angina
Dehydration Dis-Ease : heart pain - angina - is a sign of water shortage in the heart/lung axis. It should be first treated with increased water intake until the patient is free of pain and independent of medications. Medical supervision is prudent. However, water is a natural 'medication' for the treatment of angina.

Disease : Dehydration, to the point that it causes the heart muscles to cry for water, will produce the killer heart problems, including heart attacks, embolic problems, strokes, hypertension, heart failure, kidney disease, low oxygen distribution, edema, and more.


Migraine Headache


Dehydration Dis-ease : Migraine headache is sign of water need by the brain and the eyes. It will totally clear up if dehydration is prevented from establishing in the human body.

Disease: The type of dehydration that causes migraine might eventually cause inflammation and leakage of the small arteries of the brain and be responsible for plaque formation that is often seen in serious neurological disorders. It can also affect the back of the eye and possibly cause partial loss of eyesight. The increase of myopia among our young citizens is a clear sign that our children had replace plain water with other canned beverages which directly/indirectly cause unintentional dehydration in their growing bodies which need constant water supply.

Colitis
Dehydration Dis-ease : Colitis pain is a signal of water shortage in the large gut. It is associated with constipation because the large intestine constricts to squeeze the last drop of water from the excrement - thus the lack of water lubrication.

Disease: Not recognizing colitis pain as a sign of dehydration will cause persistent constipation. Later in life, it will cause fecal impaction; it can cause diverticulitis, Crohn's disease, hemorrhoids, and polyps (abnormal growth at the womb, or near uterus), and appreciably increase the possibility of developing cancer of the colon and rectum.

Asthma
and Allergies
Dehydration Dis-Ease: Asthma, which affects 17 million children(2003 figure) and kills several thousand of them every year, and allergies, which afflict 50 million people (also 2003 figure) , are complications of dehydration in the human body.
Shortness of breath in asthma is a water-rationing program of the human body under the control of histamine. In asthma, free passage of air is obstructed so that water does not leave the human body in the form of vapor - the water steam (we adult on average lose about one quart of water through the lungs in 24 hours).
Increased water intake will prevent asthma attacks. It will keep every air cell better hydrated and helps them in their contraction (surface tension of water) to expel their air content every time we exhale.
Asthmatics also need to take more salt to break the mucous plugs in the lungs that obstruct the free flow of air in and out of the lungs' air sacs. They also need to supplement the intake of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, and selenium, the intracellular minerals that trap water and keep it inside the cells. Please keep to one glass of fresh orange juice per day, if you happened to have asthma now. In dehydration, these minerals become deficient in the human body. water deficient is the real 'first-cause' for asthma.

Disease: Not recognizing asthma and allergies as indicators of dehydration in the human body of a growing child (cells population multiplying) not only will sentence many unaware thousands of children to die every year, but will also permit irreversible genetic damage to get established in the remaining seventeen(17) million (figure in 2003) asthmatic children and those who suffer from allergies.

Just imagine, one-quarter of children in Harlem district on New York, USA, are reported by the New York Times of April 19, 2003, to be suffering from asthma. This is truly one of the great national tragedies of medical ignorance and will eventually herd these innocent children onto the doomsday train of the drug industry for their shortened future lives.

All school children should use water-cure protocol formula to prevent asthma and allergies to develop: Every 90 minute, drink 10 percent of your own personal daily water quota. water quota is calculated by 32.53 ml multiply by your own body weight(in kilogram). And use 1/4 teaspoon of sea-salt in your daily diet for every 1250 ml water intake. Daily is the keyword here.

Hypertension

Dehydration Dis-ease : Hypertension is a state of natural adaption of the human body to a generalized drought condition internally, when there is not enough water to fill all the blood vessels that facilitate the normal diffusion of water into vital cells. The rise in pressure is a part of the mechanism of reverse osmosis ; water from the blood serum is filtered and injected into important cells through minute holes in their membranes; extra pressure in needed for the "injection process." Just as we doctors inject I.V "water" in hospitals, so the body injects water into tens of trillion of cells all at the same time.

Water and some salt intake will bring blood pressure back to normal! Supplements of the needed minerals (potassium, magnesium, etc) to hold the injected water inside the cells would also be necessary to prevent the rise of blood pressure.

Disease: Not recognizing high blood pressure as one of the major indicators of dehydration in the human body, and treating it with diuretics drugs that further dehydrate the body will, in time, cause blockages of the heart arteries and the arteries that go to the brain by cholesterol. many stroke patients were the result of these drugs. It will eventually cause kidney disease. It will cause brain damage and neurological disorder, such as Alzheimer's disease.


Type 2 Diabetes

Dehydration-Dis-Ease :Adult-onset diabetes is another way the human body over time adapts to severe dehydration. To have adequate water needs, the release of insulin is inhibited to prevent insulin from pushing water into all body cells. In diabetes, only some cells get survival rations of available water.

Disease : Not recognizing adult-onset diabetes as a complication of prolonged dehydration will, in time, cause massive damage to the blood vessels all over the body. It will cause eventual loss of the toes, feet, and legs from gangrene. This is the nature way of sacrificial mode to keep other vital organs to survive another day during chronic dehydration at cellular level. Diabetes will cause eye damage, even blindness. people with type 2 diabetes will eventually become insulin-dependent. They will need to receive insulin to control their blood sugar. It is the water shortage over time which trigger this sign and symptom in diabetes, so to prevent any onset, monitor your daily water intake is significant.

Cholesterol
Dehydration Dis-Ease: High cholesterol levels are an indicator of early drought management by the human body. Cholesterol is a clay like material that is poured in the gaps of some cell membranes to safeguard them against losing their vital water content to the osmotically more powerful blood circulating in their vicinity. Cholesterol, apart from being used to manufacture nerve cell membranes and hormones, is also used as a "shield" against excessive water loss for use in other vital cells that would receive an emergency supply of water by its injection through their cell membranes. There is also a direct relationship between bones losing their calcium and getting soft and cholesterol levels, because vitamin D is made from cholesterol and exposure to sunlight. Vitamin D is needed to stimulate new bone formation. Increasing the rate of cholesterol formation might be one of the ways the human body fights osteoporosis. So, do your body a favour, quit taking any anti-cholesterol prescribed pills(if any). In one of the testimonies, you will see how increased water intake increased bone density by 10 per cent - in some bones 17 per cent in the hip bone, where in encased bone density is most needed. It is not the "calcium supplement" your body bone is needing to grow healthy, but sufficient water on daily basis.

The classification of cholesterol as "bad" cholesterol because it is seen as plaques in the arterial walls in the heart and elsewhere is inaccurate and has become a moneymaking hype for the pharmaceutical industry. We measure the human body's level of cholesterol from the blood taken out of one of the arm veins. This is the blood that is moving very slowly in the veins to reach(return) the heart. If it were the stickiness of cholesterol that caused the plaques, then the veins of the human body should get blocked; if anything, much more than in the arteries, where the blood is better mixed because of its greater pressure and the pulsating nature of blood flow.
There is not a single report of cholesterol having ever blocked or formed plaques on the wall of the blood veins in the human body. Think that one out!

Family with infant or babies, please monitor that the child receive sufficient plain water daily. Many infants had died due to dehydration unknowingly in their sleep. Not every cry is for milk or food, but for water. Take heed, your body is not sick, it is crying for water. Use the water-cure protocol as found in this blog and increase the water quota as the child body grows healthy weight. Every one kilogram of body weight, use 32.53 milliliter of plain water, per day. Drink 10 per cent of your own daily water quota , every 90 minute, per dose.

Actually, cholesterol serves as a "waterproofing bandage" on the abrasions and tears in the arterial walls that get damaged when the blood becomes concentrated and acidic as result of cellular dehydration and low urine output (dark and acidic urine). Prolonged and ignored dehydration of cells had caused the cells to mutate and grow cancerous, so we have these symptoms of blood-cancer or leukemia or other fancy jargon.

Disease: Giving cholesterol-lowering medications to people whose bodies need to make more cholesterol for its myriad important functions will ultimately produce many serious and life-threatening health problems, including liver damage that might be fatal. This is known as "correct-prescribed" drug induced disease. Cholesterol is important to life. The human body would not make more of it unless it really needed to do so.


Depression, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy

These conditions are caused by prolonged chronic dehydration. They will clear up once the body becomes well and regularly hydrated in conjunction with adequate intake of the essential intracellular mineral, mentioned above. In these conditions, exercising your muscles should be part of the treatment program.
