Pray for our body mind, and heart , that is healing

Before we pray, let's first take a moment to listen to God's word and then we'll pray together.

Healing is part of who Jesus Christ is.

When you say his name, you are calling on the living Christ, the one who has always had compassion for the broken, the hurting, and the weary.

So Jesus Christ is a healer, and there should be no doubt in your mind about that.

There was a moment when even John the Baptist, the bold prophet who prepared the way for Jesus, needed reassurance.

John was in a hard place. He had questions.

He sent messengers to Jesus to ask if he truly was the one. And Jesus did not respond with a lecture.

He responded with evidence and mercy. In action.

Luke 7 :18-23 says, "Are you the one who is to come? Or shall we look for another? In that hour he healed many people of diseases and plagues and evil spirits.  And on many who were blind he bestowed sight." And he answered them,  "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard. The blind receive their sight. The lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear. The dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them.

Jesus was showing John and everyone watching that healing is not just something he does.

 Healing reveals his heart.

Healing reveals the kingdom of God breaking into human suffering. And that same Jesus has not changed.

He still lifts up those who feel crushed by life.

Now, many believers make a common mistake when they think about healing.

They place healing in a small box and label it physical only. They imagine healing as a pain-free body, a clean medical report, strength returning to tired limbs.

And yes, God can do that. He can heal in a moment. He can heal through a process.

He can heal through medicine and wise doctors.

None of these options are beyond his power because all wisdom ultimately comes from him.

But if you only think of healing as physical, you may overlook the deeper places where you truly need God's touch. There are people who smile in public, but carry deep pain in private.

There are believers who love Jesus sincerely, yet their heart still aches from what was done to them, what was as said to them, what they lost, or what they never received.

Some people need healing in their minds because anxiety has worn them down.

Some need healing in their memories because the past keeps replaying like a wound that never fully closed.

Some need healing in their soul because they have lived too long feeling rejected, unwanted, or unseen.

This is why scripture speaks about God's healing in a wider, richer way.

Psalm 147:3.~ He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Notice what that says. He does not only heal bodies, he heals hearts. He cares about what is happening inside you.

He cares about the weight you carry.

He cares about the tears you have cried that no one else noticed.

And when God heals a heart, it changes the way you live, the way you love, and the way you see yourself.

You may be asking today, "Where is my healing? When will it be my turn?"

That is a real question, and God is not offended by it. He is not threatened by your honesty, but he wants to lead you into trust.

There are seasons when God heals quickly, and there are seasons when he heals slowly.

And there are seasons when he uses the pain to teach you how to lean on him more deeply than ever before.

This is where many believers struggle.

You may know God can heal, yet you do not understand his timing. You may pray and still wait.

You may believe and still ache.

You may serve God faithfully and still face difficulty.

In those moments, you need a truth that is bigger than your feelings.

Isaiah 55 8-9.~ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways, My ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

God's wisdom is higher than what you can see. It means there may be a purpose unfolding that you cannot yet recognize.

Sometimes God allows pressure to shape your character. Sometimes he allows a valley season to grow your prayer life. Sometimes he allows hardship to remove pride and make room for a softer, cleaner heart.

Sometimes he uses your suffering to form a testimony that will later comfort someone else who feels alone.

Even so, do not misunderstand this.

God is not pleased by your pain. He is not looking for ways to hurt you. He is our Father and his heart is good.

He is the one who draws near to the broken hearts. He is the one who strengthens the weak.

2 Corinthians 12:9.~My grace is sufficient for you. For my power is made perfect in weakness.

There are times when healing comes as a miracle. And there are times when healing begins with grace that sustains you while God rebuilds you from the inside out. That is still healing.

When God keeps you from falling apart, that is healing.

When God gives you peace in the middle of chaos, that is healing.

When God helps you forgive what you never thought you could forgive, that is healing.

When God restores your hope after deep disappointment, that is healing.

And while you wait, keep your faith rooted in what Jesus Christ has already done.

Isaiah 53:5. ~ He was wounded for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. Upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace. and with his stripes we are healed.

Jesus paid for your salvation and he also carried your griefs and sorrows.

Your pain matters to him. Your healing matters to him. So keep bringing your requests to God. Beloved, do not focus on the physical alone. Ask God to heal your whole life. Ask him to heal your body, yes, but also heal your mind, heal your heart, heal your emotions, heal your memories, and heal your soul. Ask him to restore what life has tried to damage.

Ask him to make you whole. So, keep trusting the Lord. Keep praying and coming to Jesus Christ. He healed then and he still heals today.

Now, let's take a moment to pray together.

Father, I praise you for who you are.

You know the places where I feel strong and you also know the places where I feel tired, confused or worn down.

Today I come to you with a sincere heart because I need healing and I believe you still heal.

Lord, I bring my whole life before you.

I bring my body, my thoughts, my emotions, my memories, and the hidden wounds I rarely talk about.

l also lift up every person who is reading and listening right now.

Even as I pray for myself, I ask you to meet them too, right where they are.

Some of us need healing in the body.

Some of us need healing in the heart because grief has been heavy.

Some of us need healing in the mind because fear, anxiety, and painful thoughts have become too loud.

King Jesus, let your healing power flow through every part of our lives.

Your word gives me confidence because it points me back to the Cross  on Calvary

It reminds me that you did not ignore human suffering.

You stepped into it and carried it.

First Peter 2 verse 24 says, He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds, you have been healed.

Thank you, Lord Jesus.

You carried my sin so I could be forgiven.

You carried my shame so l could be free.

You carried what I deserved so I could receive mercy.

You paid theprice l could never pay.

When I look at the cross  , I see love.

I see grace that reaches me even when I feel weak.

And because of what you have done, I come to you with hope.

I trust that healing is not impossible for you.

Father, I ask you to heal my body. Touch the areas that hurt, the areas that feel weak and the areas that doctors may not fully understand.

If healing comes through a miracle, I give you praise.

If healing comes through treatment and time, I still give you praise because all wisdom and help are under your authority.

Teach me to stay faithful in the process.

Keep me from despair when the answer feels slow.

Keep me steady when I feel discouraged.

l also ask you to heal my heart.

Lord, there are wounds that time has not erased.

There are hurtful words I still remember.

There are painful losses I still carry.

There are disappointments I have tried to bury, but they still affect me.

Heal what is broken inside me.

Heal the places where I have learned to protect myself instead of trusting you.

Heal my ability to love again with purity and peace.

Your word says in Psalm 34 :17-19, "¹⁷When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.

¹⁸The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

¹⁹Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. Lord,"

I hold on to this promise.

You hear me when I cry.

You do not turn away when I feel crushed.

You come near and you rescue.

So l ask you to deliver me from every trouble that has been pressing on my life.

Deliver me from fear that steals my sleep.

Deliver me from heaviness that drains my joy.

Deliver me from cycles I cannot break on my own.

Deliver me from anything that keeps me from living with a clean heart and steady faith.

Father, I ask you to heal my mind, cleanse my thoughts, calm the inner noise.

Where there has been confusion, you bring clarity.

Where there has been panic, you bring peace.

Where there has been tormenting memories, you bring restoration.

Where there has been self-hatred, you replace it with the truth of your love.

Teach me to take my thoughts back under the lordship of Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:5 says, "We take every thought captive to obey Christ.

Help me practice that, Lord.

When harmful thoughts rise, remind me that I do not have to agree with them.

When lies try to settle in my heart, remind me that your truth is stronger.

When my mind feels tired, fill me with your peace.

Lord, sometimes I look fine on the outside, but inside I feel like l am fighting a battle.

I confess that I cannot win this battle by my own strength.

I need you to restore peace within me.

Put me back together in every place where life has chipped away at my hope.

Let your presence wash over my soul and renew me.

Your word shows me that you care about the deepest kind of pain, too.

Psalm 147:3. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

So heal me there, Lord.

Heal the hidden places.

Heal the tender places.

Heal the places l avoid because they hurt too much to touch.

Teach me that l am safe with you.

Teach me that I can bring my full story into your light.

Romans 8 :28. ~ For those who love God, all things work together for good.

Hold me to that truth, Lord.

When I do not understand, help me trust your heart.

When I feel weak, remind me that your grace is enough.

2 Corinthians 12:9. ~ My grace is sufficient for you. For my power is made perfect in weakness.

Father, let your grace carry me today.

Let your strength rise in me when mine feels small

Teach me to pray with faith, to rest with trust, and to keep walking with you even before I see the full answer.

Lord Jesus, I believe that healing is already beginning in my body, heart, and mind.

I receive your peace and restoring touch.

I receive your comfort and strength.

Let your name be honoured through my life, through my healing, and through the way I respond while I wait.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray.

Amen.

Respected reader, if this prayer has touched your heart, please say amen as a sign of faith. I pray that every blessing in this prayer is now upon you in the name of Jesus Christ.
