Now let's take a moment to pray together.

Dear Lord, thank you for meeting me here today.

Thank you for giving me another chance to come close to you.  You have been faithful to me in ways I cannot even count. You have carried me through seasons where I felt strong and you have carried me through seasons where I felt weak.

So today I choose to place my heart before you again and I ask you to shape me into a person who belongs fully to you.

Your word in Romans 12:1 says, "Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies, dedicating all of yourselves set apart as a living sacrifice, holy and well pleasing to God, which is your rational, logical, intelligent act of worship.

Father, I hear that call and I respond with a willing heart. Help me present myself to you fully and sincerely.

Lord, I confess that my heart can attach itself to things that are temporary. Sometimes I value comfort too much.

Sometimes I hold tightly to my plans. Sometimes I fear losing what I have.

But I do not want anything to sit on the throne of my life except you.

Please search my heart and reveal anything I have turned into an idol, even good things that I have lifted too high.

Your word in Proverbs 4:23 says to guard the heart because from it flow the issues of life.

Teach me to guard my heart with wisdom and to keep my love for you first.

Father, make me free from the love of money and the obsession with possessions. Help me live with open hands.

Your word in 1 Timothy 6, verse 10 reminds me that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.

I do not want greed to shape my decisions or fear to control my giving. Give me contentment.

Give me a spirit and teach me to trust you as my provider.

Your word in Matthew 6:33 calls me to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness and then everything I need will be added.

I choose your kingdom first, Lord.

I choose your will above my desires.

Lord Jesus Christ, help me forsake selfish ambition. I do not want to live only for my name, my success, or my comfort.

I want to live for your glory.

Your word in Philippians chapter 2: verses 3 to 4 calls me to do nothing from selfish, ambition or pride, but to consider others and look out for them.

Teach me to be selfless in a real way with sincerity, with love, and with humility.

Make my life reflect the heart of Jesus Christ.

Lord, give me the strength to take up my cross and follow you.

Your word in Luke chapter 9, verse 23, says that if anyone wants to come after you, they must deny themselves, take up their cross daily, and follow you.

I want to follow you even when obedience costs me something.

Give me courage when I have to say no to my flesh.

Give me wisdom when I have to walk away from temptation.

Give me discipline when I want to delay obedience.

Your word in Romans 6 13-14 says, "Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.

For sin shall no longer be your master because you are not under the law but under grace.

Father, I offer myself to you.

Let my mind, eyes, mouth belong to you.

Let my hands, my time, my body, and my gifts belong to you.

Make me an instrument of righteousness.

Break every chain that keeps pulling me back to old patterns.

Set me free from the hidden things that try to master me.

Thank you that sin is not my master because your grace is stronger.

Lord, I commit to following you and I understand that following you means letting go of other allegiances.

I cannot serve two masters.

Your word in Matthew 6:24 says that a person cannot serve both God and money.

So I choose you again today. I choose the narrow road because it leads to life. Your word in Matthew 7 :13-14 reminds me that the road that leads to life is narrow and few find it. Help me be one who stays on it. Keep my feet steady. Keep my heart clean.

Father, give me a willing and obedient heart like Abraham. When he placed Isaac on the altar, he showed that nothing would come before you. I want that kind of trust. I want to love you more than my most prized possessions.

If you ever ask me to surrender something, help me not argue with you and help me not delay. Help me obey with faith.

Remind me that whatever you ask me to lay down, you are able to provide again and you are able to replace with something better.

You are always good, even when your ways stretch my understanding.

Lord, I present my life to you as a living sacrifice set apart for your purposes.

And when sacrifice feels painful, remind me that l am not losing my life.

Your word in John 12: verses 25-26 teaches that the one who loves their life in this world will lose it, but the one who lays it down for you will keep it for eternal life.

Jesus, I want to serve you faithfully through every season. When things are stable, keep me devoted.

When things are hard, keep me faithful.

When I do not understand, keep me trusting.

Let me hold tightly to your word and walk closely with you. Holy Spirit, help me do what I cannot do in my own strength.

Your word in Philippians 2:13 says that it is God who works in me to will and to act according to His good purpose.

So work in me, Lord. Make surrender a joy. Make my heart soft, teachable, and responsive.

Thank you for shaping me day by day.

I belong to you and I choose you again. In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen.
