Eat less, live longer. About a hundred centenarians lived in modest circumstances. They ate less than the average amount, and some fasted at times because they were poor and simply had no food. They follow the "three-quarters"(3/4) rule: they stop eating when they are 3/4 full. Studies have shown that a reduction in caloric intake can increase life expectancy in anals ---why not humans?

Sarwar Bari: I have grown up facing and straining under this exclusion feudalism. Many people grow up believing this exclusion to be their given fate, but some opt to confront it. I stood with forces who always sought to confront the system in the hope of making it inclusive and equitable for everyone .

Martin Lee: I see a modern China in which the human rights of all her 1.3 billion citizens are respected by their government , a democratically elected government, and are protected by the rule of laws. I might not see that come about in my lifetime. But so long as we keep fighting got it and do not give up, I am confident that democracy , human rights and the rule of law will come to the whole of China.

Chua Tian Chang: If we give up the fight, those currently in power win by default and the human rights situation will have little chance of improving much. But if we keep pushing, keep protesting, we can nudge the government and the other authorities to accept the changes needed to produce a brighter human rights condition for all .

But what if judicial decisions are so perverse that they offend against plain common sense?
Or are so tainted with bias that anyone can see that the entire judicial process is being blatantly abused to satisfy a political vendetta?
This is not as theoretical or academic as it sounds.

Loretta Ann P. Rosales: It has been too long that the benefits of democracy and social justice have remained an exclusive claim for the privileged few who wield tremendous power. It is time we break the barrier and expand the benefits to the larger whole for whose rights our forefathers had once upon a time fought and sacrificed their lives.

Shih Ming-teh: In every era, there are always those who will struggle for freedom ... they will be rejected, bullied, humiliated, imprisoned and even killed. These freedom-fighters crawl along a narrow path. But in the end, those who follow will widen the path into a broad avenue. Freedom-fighters may rot physically , but their courage and commitment will enhance human civilization and last forever. Freedom- fighters don't belong to today, but they will live on tomorrow.
