What is True Healing?

The Unseen Therapist doesn't define healing as we do.  Her version is more powerful because she aims at the ultimate cause of all ailments ... the belief in separation.

We tend to think of healing in terms of the body.  That is, we think healing occurs when tumors subside, headaches vanish, pains fade, vision improves and so on.  Accordingly, we spend vast amounts of money for pharmaceuticals, hospitals, surgeries and radiation, all of which are aimed at improving the health of the body.

And none of this actually cures anything.

Sure, we may get welcome bodily relief along the way and that may seem to be a cure.  However, until we recognize who we really are, there will always be another ailment that waits around the corner to replace the one that just subsided.  This endless cycle of temporary "cures" repeats itself over time as our bodies age, organs diminish and we appear to eventually die.

True healing is of the mind, not physical

By contrast, The Unseen Therapist thinks of healing in terms of the mind.  This is clearly stated in the materials from A Course In Miracles.

"Psychotherapy is the only form of therapy there is.  Since only the mind can be sick, only the mind can be healed.  Only the mind is in need of healing.  This does not appear to be the case, for the manifestations of the world seem real indeed."

And...

"As all therapy is psychotherapy, so all illness is mental illness."  Both quotes are from the Introduction to Psychotherapy: Purpose, Process and Practice

Think about it.  It is our minds that chose the belief in separation.  It wasn't our toes, lungs or kidneys.  And thus it is our mind that manifested the body (the ultimate symbol of separation) and its pains, pleasures, traumas, fears and the like.

To reiterate the findings of our premiere scientists...

...separation is impossible.

At the atomic level everything is connected into a large Oneness soup. Our seemingly separate bodies, then, reflect a nonsensical belief in the impossible.  Accordingly, the mind that believes this is in need of correction.

This correction is the healing goal of The Unseen Therapist.  As we gradually recognize that our bodily experience is a dream then Spiritual Peace (Love) can enter our systems and cure everything.  Actually, cure is not really the right word.  Properly understood, our physical ailments will fade as it is recognized that they are fictions.

Does this mean that we should forsake all human remedies and retreat to a mountain top where we can live forever in a "Bliss Abyss?"  That's a choice, of course, but it seems a bit impractical for most people.  Easier to start with a few simple principles and move our way up the Spiritual Ladder in a step-by-step manner.  That's what the Optimal EFT Lessons and Refinements are all about.

Oh my!  Do we have to give up our bodies to attain this level of healing?

No.  In fact, spiritually evolved people need to be here in bodily form to counsel others along this path.  This way they are more easily seen and their messages more readily understood by those in need.

Is it necessary that we do Optimal EFT jointly with other people?

It is desirable ... but good results can be obtained by doing this solo (on yourself).

In the bigger picture, however, Love is best when shared and that is why working together with someone can enhance results ... sometimes dramatically.  Please note that both the therapist and patient bring limitations with them.  This is stated in this quote from the Course in Miracles material.

"Healing is limited by the limitations of the psychotherapist, as it is limited by those of the patient."
From Part III of the pamphlet, Psychotherapy: Purpose, Process and Practice.

First, therapists cannot draw any more from the Unseen Therapist than they believe they have and that depends on how well how well they deal with their own Guards at the Gate.

Second, patients cannot receive any more than their readiness allows and that readiness, again, is limited by their own Guards at the Gate.

Remember, the feisty little Guard at the Gate is very fearful of the Oneness represented by The Unseen Therapist and is very clever at presenting obstacles that serve to close the gate.  He is a master at distraction.  His multiple tools include....
  • Distracting thoughts.
  • Physical discomforts.
  • Procrastination re: doing your Optimal EFT procedures.
  • Involving you in resentments, fears and guilt that contradict your spiritual pursuits.
And all this is reinforced by our senses that erroneously report a separated world ... 24/7.

Fortunately, the Optimal EFT Lessons and Refinements are designed to assist all healing personnel in this regard.  However, they will not do so by themselves.  Diligence is required.

Surface Healing vs. True Healing

While True Healing is our ultimate goal, we must be realistic and accept that we are simply entering a path in that direction.  The destination is not ours yet and we will certainly make our mistakes along the way.  Thus, even though some of your earlier attempts at healing may appear substantial, the likelihood is that they do not yet reflect True Forgiveness and thus represent a form of Surface Healing.

This is okay.  You haven't done it "wrong."  Nor are you defective, inadequate or any of the other labels we sometimes lay upon ourselves.  You simply have more to learn.  There is no hurry.  Take one step at a time.  Walk on velvet with the understanding that The Unseen Therapist has infinite patience.  Love has nothing to do with time so stub your toe and try again.  Enjoy the process and giggle a bit along the way.
e-hugs, Gary.

There's Only One Of Us

The World Within Our Senses (The Sensory World) insists that there are billions of us inhabiting this planet and all of us are unique.  Even identical twins look slightly different and vary in their beliefs, decisions, preferences and so on.  Even though we are learning that this is a mirage, it is so compelling that we must compensate for it in our daily lives.  Accordingly, almost every decision we make is influenced by how the world, and the imaginary people in it, will respond.

But our goal is to see beyond that.  We must recognize what Quantum Physics and countless people with spiritual experiences like mine are clearly telling us, i.e. that there is no separation and thus there is only one of us.  To do so, requires that we perceive ALL other people as joined with us in an ultra-loving state in The World Beyond Our Senses.  No differences whatsoever.  Love makes no distinctions.  As indicated in previous articles, this realization is likely to be a gradual process.

Now let's explore this Oneness notion and lay out some of its features:
  • If we are all One then, despite how it appears, everyone else is a mirror of you.
  • This includes those we label angelic as well as those we consider robbers, rapists, murderers and pedophiles. It includes our very best friends ... and ... our worst enemies.
  • Thus within our dream this kaleidoscope of "people features" represents our potential to both love and hate ... to nurture and reject ... to experience both peace and turmoil.
  • So when we come across people we don't like, we are actually experiencing reflections of things we don't like about ourselves.  It may not seem that way.  In fact, we may argue for an opposite conclusion.  But if we are all One then you ARE those people and they ARE you.  It may take some more convincing for this to sink in but, until it does, the denial of this form of Oneness is keeping us in that prison we call The Sensory World.
  • In The World Beyond Our Senses there is only One thing ... Love.  Everything else fades into nothingness because there is no "everything else."
Now here's a fascinating thought.

If those who irritate us are actually part of us then we MUST see beyond their "shortcomings" if we are to perceive ourselves as Love.  Spiritual Love is all encompassing.  There can be nothing else.  Thus if we see any part of us as even slightly offensive then we have denied the complete state of Love that is our reality.

This is where True Forgiveness comes in from a previous article.  We must learn that this Sensory World is nothing but a dream and the unloving behavior of everyone, including that of you, me and those who offend us, is but a fiction.  As we approach that realization, True Forgiveness becomes easier because, ultimately, there is nothing to forgive.  And if there is nothing to forgive then the slate is clean and we are left with a glorious state of Loving Oneness.  No resentments.  No judgments.  Just Love.

WE ARE One

Forgiveness The Key to Freedom

True Forgiveness

This is our main ticket out of the dream

True Forgiveness (as defined below) abolishes the entire illusion of this world and gently places us into that exquisite World Beyond Our Senses. In fact, if everyone exercised True Forgiveness, the world's problems would vanish in an instant. No more anger, trauma, sickness, war, hunger or death. Only Love and an uninterrupted blissful existence.

So why bother with Optimal EFT? Who needs to study articles and perform practices? Why not just forgive everything and be done with it? It would sure save a lot of time and, Lord knows, this world surely needs it. I would love for it to be that easy. But, alas, we need to understand True Forgiveness before we can proceed.

But first, let's look at everyday forgiveness ... the standard definition

Let's use a common forgiveness example. Suppose your brother had the habit of stealing things from you and, over the years, has stolen your money, cars, jewelry, etc. You, of course, harbor anger and mistrust regarding your brother and that has decimated your relationship. Now suppose that a few years go by and your brother comes to you, apologetically, and asks for your forgiveness. He claims he has undergone treatment for his theft problem and is a new man. He even pays you back partially for the things he stole. You are touched by this and say, "I forgive you." Thereafter, you enjoy your brother on many levels and even partner with him on some projects.

This is an often told tale of forgiveness. Heartwarming, Loving. It's the sort of story that deserves a movie. It is an example of what we commonly mean when we discuss forgiveness.

But let's look beneath these circumstances and explore what happens if your brother steals from you once again. Does your forgiveness remain in place or do you resume your previous wariness and become on guard or alert to his thieving ways. Even if you are benevolently open to this "slip," don't the old angers and mistrusts show up again? And if he steals from you a second or third time might not your emotions take over and your former forgiveness be compromised or fly out the window?

If your former forgiveness has wavered under these circumstances then you have not exercised True Forgiveness. You may have temporarily swept the issue under the rug but, in the background...

...you have been keeping score.

Your forgiveness has not been True Forgiveness. It has been partial, incomplete. You have been subtly judging, awaiting the day when you eventually say, "See, you did it again!!"

True Forgiveness

While the above standard example of forgiveness is useful, it will not get us out of the dream. It may make the dream more tolerable for awhile, but that is all.

What we need is True Forgiveness and that involves the recognition that both you and your brother are living in a dream and, as a result...

...the thefts never really happened.

They were simply part of a dream and, when you awaken from it, you simply say, "Oh, that was just a dream."

Therein lies the definition of True Forgiveness.  It is a deep understanding that we really are experiencing a dream.  There is only One of us and our seeming separation into individual bodies is a mirage.  Seen in this way, we actually forget about the misdeed.

We can only exercise True Forgiveness if we recognize that we are dreaming.  And I don't mean just academically. We must stand apart from our senses and "see" the Loving Light in everyone by using an "inner vision" rather than our eyes.  This includes our enemies and those who have betrayed us. No exceptions because Love has no exceptions.  This is our challenge.  This is why Optimal EFT is a process and not something you "get" from a movie, book or workshop.

A monumental shift

True Forgiveness is massively more powerful than standard forgiveness because it completely wipes the slate clean.  As long as we truly recognize everything that happens as part of a dream, then we have no traumas, betrayals, disease or enemies.  All such happenings become fictions and have no effect on us.  They seem very real within the dream, of course, but if we awaken we recognize them for the non-events they really are.  This is a monumental shift in perception that is hundreds of times more effective than standard forgiveness.

Is this realistic?

Can we really exercise this true form of forgiveness and completely abolish all remnants of the negative side of this world?  And if we did this, wouldn't that drop all our defenses and subject us to being blindsided by all those thieves, betrayers and irresponsible people in the world?

Probably so, at least for now.

Doing so would mean giving up every caution we think we need to keep us safe, sane and financially sound. The World Within Our Senses gives us constant reminders of the dangers lurking all around us even though, as Quantum Physics tells us, it is all imaginary.  There is no out there out there.

This World Within Our Senses is no place for Pollyanna. She would be homeless and destitute in short order ... or at least so our cautions tell us.

The World Beyond Our Senses, however, is quite different. As you know by now, I have briefly been in that world and, from that vantage point, the World Within Our Senses becomes absurd. It causes us to ask why we would want to hold a grudge or resentment against anyone? Doing so blots out the endless Love that is our true birthright. Why would we ever trade THAT for a bunch of useless cautions? Only in a dream could we give any weight to this nonsense.

But, again, this is not nonsense within the dream. This illusion appears convincingly real and, in that context, True Forgiveness appears to be our enemy. In this dream, we must hold on to our cautions, fears, resentments and the like or, it seems, we will surely perish.

Here are two ways that A Course In Miracles puts it (it uses the term forgiveness in the same way that I describe True Forgiveness above):

There is nothing to forgive.  (ACIM Text: Chapter 14,Section III, Paragraph 7)

What could you want forgiveness cannot give? Do you want peace? Forgiveness offers it. Do you want happiness, a quiet mind, a certainty of purpose, and a sense of worth and beauty that transcends the world? Do you want care and safety, and the warmth of sure protection always? Do you want a quietness that cannot be disturbed, a gentleness that never can be hurt, a deep, abiding comfort, and a rest so perfect it can never be upset?

All this forgiveness offers you, and more. It sparkles on your eyes as you awake, and gives you joy with which to meet the day. It soothes your forehead while you sleep, and rests upon your eyelids so you see no dreams of fear and evil, malice and attack. And when you wake again, it offers you another day of happiness and peace. All this forgiveness offers you, and more.  (ACIM Workbook: Lesson 122)

Our challenge

So, we have a challenge before us. True forgiveness is our ticket out of here but it is likely to take time and a gradual shift in our beliefs. We will, of course, need tools and ideas to pull this off. That's what Optimal EFT is all about.

The Law of Karma and The Law of Forgiveness

Man receives only that which he gives. The Game of Life is a game of boomerangs. Man's thoughts, deeds and words, return to him sooner or later, with astounding accuracy. This is the law of Karma, which is Sanskrit for "Comeback." "Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

For example: A friend told me this story of herself, illustrating the law. She said, "I make all my Karma on my aunt, whatever I say to her, someone says to me. I am often irritable at home, and one day, said to my aunt, who was talking to me during dinner. 'No more talk, I wish to eat in peace.'"

"The following day, I was lunching with a woman with whom I wished to make a great impression. I was talking animatedly, when she said: 'No more talk, I wish to eat in peace!'"

My friend is high in consciousness, so her Karma returns much more quickly than to one on the mental plane.

The more man knows, the more he is responsible for, and a person with a knowledge of Spiritual Law, which he does not practice, suffers greatly, in consequence. "The fear of the Lord (law) is the beginning of wisdom." If we read the word Lord, law, it will make many passages in the Bible much clearer.

"Vengence is mine, I will repay saith the Lord" (law). It is the law which takes vengeance, not God. God sees man perfect, "created in his own image," (imagination) and given "power and dominion."

This is the perfect idea of man, registered in Divine Mind, awaiting man's recognition; for man can only be what he sees himself to be, and only attain what he sees himself attaining.

"Nothing ever happens without an on-looker" is an ancient saying.

Man sees first his failure or success, his joy or sorrow, before it swings into visibility from the scenes set in his own imagination. We have observed this in the mother picturing disease for her child, or a woman seeing success for her husband.

Jesus Christ said, "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."

So, we see freedom (from all unhappy conditions) comes through knowledge - a knowledge of Spiritual Law.

Obedience precedes authority, and the law obeys man when he obeys the law. The law of electricity must be obeyed before it becomes man's servant. When handled ignorantly, it becomes man's deadly foe. So with the laws of Mind!

For example: A woman with a strong personal will, wished she owned a house which belonged to an acquaintance, and she often made mental pictures of herself living in the house. In the course of time, the man died and she moved into the house. Several years afterwards, coming into the knowledge of Spiritual Law, she said to me: "Do you think I had anything to do with that man's death?" I replied: "Yes, your desire was so strong, everything made way for it, but you paid your Karmic debt. Your husband, whom you loved devotedly, died soon after, and the house was a white elephant on your hands for years."

The original owner, however, could not have been affected by her thoughts had he been positive in the truth, nor her husband, but they were both under Karmic law. The woman should have said (feeling the great desire for the house), "Infinite Intelligence, give me the right house, equally as charming as this, the house which is mine by divine right."

The divine selection would have given perfect satisfaction and brought good to all. The divine pattern is the only safe pattern to work by.

Desire is a tremendous force, and must be directed in the right channels, or chaos ensues.

In demonstrating, the most important step is the first step, to "ask aright."

Man should always demand only that which is his by divine right.

To go back to the illustration: Had the woman taken this attitude: "If this house, I desire, is mine, I cannot lose it, if it is not, give me its equivalent," the man might have decided to move out, harmoniously (had it been the divine selection for her) or another house would have been substituted. Anything forced into manifestation through personal will, is always "ill-got," and has "ever bad success."

Man is admonished, "My will be done not thine,"and the curious thing is, man always gets just what he desires when he does relinquish personal will, thereby enabling Infinite Intelligence to work through him.

"Stand ye still and see the salvation of the Lord" (law).

For example: A woman came to me in great distress. Her daughter had determined to take a very hazardous trip, and the mother was filled with fear.

She said she had used every argument, had pointed out the dangers to be encountered, and forbidden her to go, but the daughter became more and more rebellious and determined. I said to the mother, "You are forcing your personal will upon your daughter, which you have no right to do, and your fear of the trip is only attracting it, for man attracts what he fears." I added, "Let go, and take your mental hands off; put it in God's Hands, and use this statement:" "I put this situation in the hands of Infinite Love and Wisdom; if this trip is the Divine plan, I bless it and not longer resist, but if it is not divinely planned, I give thanks that it is now dissolved and dissipated."

A day or two after that, her daughter said to her, "Mother, I have given up the trip," and the situation returned to its "native nothingness."

It is learning to "stand still," which seems so difficult for man. I have dealt more fully with this law in the chapter on nonresistance.

I will give another example of sowing and reaping, which came in the most curious way.

A woman came to me saying, she had received a conterfeit twenty-dollar bill, given to her at the bank. She was much disturbed, for, she said, "The people at the bank will never acknowledge their mistake."

I replied, "Let us analyze the situation and find out why you attracted it." She thought a few moments and exclaimed: "I know it, I sent a friend a lot of stagemoney, just for a joke." So the law had sent her some stagemoney, for it doesn't know anything about jokes.

I said, "Now we will call on the law of forgiveness, and neutralize the situation."

Christianity is founded upon the law of forgiveness - Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Karmic law, and the Christ within each man is his Redeemer and Salvation from all inharmonious conditions.

So I said: "Infinite Spirit, we call on the law of forgiveness and give thanks that she is under grace and not under law, and cannot lose this twenty dollars which is hers by divine right."

"Now," I said, "Go back to the bank and tell them, fearlessly, that it was given you, there by mistake."

She obeyed, and to her surprise, they apologized and gave her another bill, treating her most courteously.

So knowledge of the Law gives man power to "rub out his mistakes." Man cannot force the external to be what he is not.

If he desires riches, he must be rich first in consciousness.

For example: A woman came to me asking treatment for prosperity. She did not take much interest in her household affairs, and her home was in great disorder.

I said to her, "If you wish to be rich, you much be orderly. All men with great wealth are orderly - and order is heaven's first law." I added, "You will never become rich with a burnt match in the pin-cushion."

She had a good sense of humor and commenced immediately, putting her house in order. She rearranged furniture, straightened out bureau drawers, cleaned rugs, and soon made a big financial demonstration - a gift from a relative. The woman, herself, became made over, and keeps herself keyed-up financially, by being ever watchful of the external and expecting prosperity, knowing God is her supply.

Many people are in ignorance of the fact that gifts and things are investments, and that hoarding and saving invariably lead to loss.

"There is that scattereth and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty."

For example: I knew a man who wanted to buy a fur-lined overcoat. He and his wife went to various shops, but there was none he wanted. He said they were all too cheap-looking. At last, he was shown one, the salesman said was valued at a thousand dollars, but which the manager would sell him for five-hundred dollars, as it was late in the season.

His financial possessions amounted to about seven hundred dollars. The reasoning mind would have said, "You can't afford to spend nearly all you have on a coat," but he was very intuitive and never reasoned.

He turned to his wife and said, "If I get this coat, I'll make a ton of money!" So his wife consented, weakly.

About a month later, he received a ten-thousand-dollar commission. The coat made him feel so rich, it linked him with success and prosperity; without the coat he would not have received the commission. It was an investment paying large dividends!

If man ignores these leadings to spend or to give, the same amount of money will go in an uninteresting or unhappy way.

For example: A woman told me, on Thanksgiving Day, she informed her family that they could not afford a Thanksgiving dinner. She had the money, but decided to save it.

A few days later, someone entered her room and took from the bureau drawer the exact amount the dinner would have cost.

The law always stands back of the man who spends fearlessly, with wisdom.

For example: One of my students was shopping with her little nephew. The child clamored for a toy, which she told him she could not afford to buy.

She realized suddenly that she was seeking lack, and not recognizing God as her supply!

So she bought the toy, and on her way home, picked up, in the street, the exact amount of money she had paid for it.

Man's supply is inexhaustible and unfailing when fully trusted, but faith or trust must precede the demonstration. "According to your faith be it unto you." "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen - " for faith holds the vision steady, and the adverse pictures are dissolved and dissipated, and "in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

Jesus Christ brought the good news (the gospel) that there was a higher law than the law of Karma - and that that law transcends the law of Karma. It is the law of grace, or forgiveness. It is the law which frees man from the law of cause and effect - the law of consequence. "Under grace, and not under law."

We are told that on this plane, man reaps where he has not sown; the gifts of God are simply poured out upon him. "All that the Kingdom affords is his." This continued state of bliss awaits the man who has overcome the race (or world) thought.

In the world thought there is tribulation, but Jesus Christ said: "Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

The world thought is that of sin, sickness and death. He saw their absolute unreality and said sickness and sorrow shall pass away and death itself, the last enemy, be overcome.

We know now, from a scientific standpoint, that death could be overcome by stamping the subconscious mind with the conviction of eternal youth and eternal life.

The subconscious, being simply power without direction, carries out orders without questioning.

Working under the direction of the superconscious (the Christ or God within man) the "resurrection of the body" would be accomplished.

Man would no longer throw off his body in death, it would be transformed into the "body electric," sung by Walt Whitman, for Christianity is founded upon the forgiveness of sins and "an empty tomb."

What Do You Expect?

"According to your faith be it unto you." --Matthew 9:29

Faith is expectancy, "According to your faith, be it unto you."

We might say, according to your expectancies be it done unto you; so, what are you expecting?

We hear people say: "We expect the worst to happen," or "The worst is yet to come." They are deliberately inviting the worst to come.

We hear others say: "I expect a change for the better." They are inviting better conditions into their lives.

Change your expectancies and you change your conditions.

How can you change your expectancies, when you have formed the habit of expecting loss, lack or failure?

Begin to act as if you expected success, happiness and abundance; prepare for your good.

Do something to show you expect it to come. Active faith alone, will impress the subconscious.

If you have spoken the word for a home, prepare for it immediately, as if you hadn't a moment to lose. Collect little ornaments, table-cloths, etc., etc.!

I knew a woman who made the giant swing into faith, by buying a large arm-chair; a chair meant business, she bought a large and comfortable chair, for she was preparing for the right man. He came.

Someone will say, "Suppose you haven't money to buy ornaments or a chair?" Then look in shop windows and link with them in thought.

Get in their vibration: I sometimes hear people say; "I don't go into the shops because I can't afford to buy anything." That is just the reason why you should go into the shops. Begin to make friends with the things you desire or require.

I know a woman who wanted a ring. She went boldly to the ring department and tried on rings.

It gave her such a realization of ownership, that not long after, a friend made her a gift of a ring. "You combine with what you notice."

Keep on noticing beautiful things, and you make an invisible contact. Sooner or later these things are drawn into your life, unless you say, "Poor me, too good to be true."

"My soul, wait thou only upon God: for my expectation is from Him." This is a most important statement from the 62nd Psalm.

The soul is the subconscious mind, and the psalmist was telling his subconscious to expect everything directly from the universal; not to depend upon doors and channels; "My expectations is from Him."

God cannot fail, for "His ways are ingenious, His methods are sure."

You can expect any seemingly impossible Good from God; if you do not limit the channels.

Do not say how you want it done, or how it can't be done.

"God is the Giver and the Gift and creates His own amazing channels."

Take the following statement: I cannot be separated from God the Giver, therefore, I cannot be separated from God the Gift. The gift is God in action.

Get the realization that every blessing is Good in action, and see God in every face and good in every situation. This makes you master of all conditions.

A woman came to me saying that there was no heat in the radiators in their apartment, and that her mother was suffering from the cold. She added, "The landlord has declared that we can't have heat until a certain date." I replied, "God is your landlord." She said, "That's all I want to know," and rushed out. That evening the heat was turned on without asking. It was because she realized that the landlord was God in manifestation.

This is a wonderful age, for people are becoming Miracle Minded; it is in the air.

Quoting from an article which I found in the New York Journal and American by John Anderson, it corroborates what I have just said.

The title of the article is "Theatre Goers Make Hits of Metaphysical Plays."

If, said the cynical manager, who shall be called Brock Pemberton, with a slight accent of sarcasm in his voice, the other night, on an intermission curbside talk, you fellows meaning the critics, know so much about what the New York public wants, why don't you tell me what to produce?

Why don't you tell me what sort of play the play-goers want to see?" "I would," I said, "But you wouldn't believe it."

"You're hedging," he said, "You don't know, and you're trying to cover up by pretending to know more than you're willing to say. You haven't any more idea than I have this minute what sort of plays generally succeed."

"I have," I said, "there is one sure fire success; one theme that works and has always worked, whether it is competing with boy meets girl, mysteries, historical tragedies, etc., no play on the theme has ever completely failed if it had nay merit at all, and a lot of poor ones have been big hits."

"You're stalling again," said Mr. Pemberton, "What sort of plays are they?"

"Metaphysical," I said, fouling slightly with a big word and waiting quietly for the effect. "Metaphysical," said Mr. Pemberton, "You mean metaphysical?"

I paused a moment and since Mr. Pemberton said nothing, went right on spouting such titles as "The Green Pastures," "The Star Wagon," "Father Malachy's Miracle!, etc." "Some of these," I added, "reached the public over the heads of the critics." But Mr. Pemberton had departed to ask probably, in every theatre in town, "Is there a metaphysician in the house?"

People are beginning to realize the power of their words and thoughts. They understand why "Faith is the substance of the thing hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

We see the law of expectancy working out through superstition.

If you walk under a ladder and expect it to give you bad luck, it will give you bad luck. The ladder is quite innocent; bad luck came because you expected it.

We might say, expectancy is the substance of the things hoped for, or expectancy is the substance of the thing man fears. "The thing I expected has come upon me."

Nothing is too good to be true, nothing is too wonderful to happen, nothing is too good to last, when you look to God for your good.

Now think of the blessings which seem so far off, and begin to expect them now, under grace, in an unexpected way; for God works in unexpected ways, His wonders to perform.

I was told that there are three thousand promises in the Bible.

Let us now expect all these blessings to come to pass. Among them we are promised Riches and Honor, Eternal Youth ("Your flesh shall become as a little child's") and Eternal Life, ("Death itself shall be overcome.")

Christianity is founded upon the forgiveness of sins and an empty tomb.

We now know that all these things are scientifically possible.

As we call on the law of forgiveness, we become free from mistakes and the consequences of mistakes, ("Though your sins be as scarlet ye shall be washed whiter than wool.")

Then our bodies will be bathed in Light, and express the "body electric," which is incorruptible and indestructible, pure substance, expressing perfection.

I expect the unexpected, my glorious good now comes to pass.

The Great Back-Door Secret to Wealth

The Great Back-Door Secret to Wealth

I received a check in the mail today from a long-
lost friend. The check is for only a portion of the
money he owes me. But since he took almost ten
years to send this amount, I am glad to see it.

Ten years ago he hired me to write a detailed
marketing strategy for him. At that time, I
charged a few thousand dollars for such a service.
He agreed to it and said he would pay. I did the
work and he didn't pay.

Because he was my friend, I let the invoice slide.
Months went by. Then years. Then he moved to
another state. And I moved to another city. He
went on his way in life and basically dropped out
of my awareness. I went on my own way and
fairly quickly became somewhat famous on the
Internet for my books and tapes.

(The Greatest Money-Making Secret in History! - Joe Vitale - Page 21)

One day a few months ago I received an email
from someone who wanted to co-author a book
with me. He said he knew some of my friends,
and mentioned the one who owed me money.
As soon as I saw my old friend's name, my blood
pressure rose. I felt myself get angry. I felt ripped
off. Betrayed. Hurt.

I took some deep breaths and calmed myself
down. I talked to myself. I reminded myself that
the universe is a big place (some understatement)
and that wealth can come from many avenues, not
just from past invoices. I decided to forgive my
friend. And I did, mentally. I sincerely let him and
his debt go. I didn't need the money. And I didn't
need to be right.

After maybe nine years, my friend sent me an
email. He said he knew he owed me money. He
explained that he had tough times, that he had
moved, that he was trying to make it as a
professional speaker. He added that he wanted
to bring peace to our old friendship.

I wrote him a brief note saying we already had
peace. I also invited him to pay off his invoice by
sending me a check for a tiny percentage of what
he owed me (about twenty percent, as I recall).
He agreed.

Well, he didn't send me a check. Not right away,
anyway. Several more months passed before I
heard from him again. This time it was another
email, and this time he was again explaining his
situation to me.

I remained at peace. I knew I would have money.
It didn't have to come from him. The universe---
whatever you want to call that

(The Greatest Money-Making Secret in History! - Joe Vitale - Page 22)

power bigger than you or I---would see that money
came to me as long as I stayed in the flow. And
being at peace is a good way to stay in the flow.

And, as I explained in the beginning of this chapter,
the check arrived today.

I have no idea how my old friend felt as he wrote
that check. I hope he did it with a heart full of joy.
If so, he activated the money attracting principle.

I know when I wrote a check for $500 to my
brother, who had helped me out of a bind twenty
years before and I finally paid himoff, I felt
exhilarated. Writing that check to Ted made me
feel like a king. And it gave me such an inner
sense of peace that that alone was worth a million
dollars.

I'm calling this sense of peace---or forgiveness, if
you will---back-door secret to wealth.

Where in your life are you holding grudges
because someone owes you money? Or maybe
because you owe someone money?

Let it go. Talk to yourself. Allow yourself the
heavenly awareness that the universe provides,
not your friends. Money doesn't come to you from
them, it comes to you through them.

Once you can let the grudges go, you free
yourself to receive.

How to Heal Yourself (or Anyone Else)

and Discover Health, Wealth, and Happiness, Harmony Relationships,

Here are two ho'oponopono proven ways to heal yourself (or anyone else) of anything you notice. Remember that what you see in another is also in you, so all the healing is self-healing. Work on yourself , not trying to correct others.  No one else has to do these processes but you.

First, this is the prayer Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona, Ho'oponopono Master Teacher, creator of Self I-Dentity Ho'oponopono, said to help heal hundreds if not thousands of people, without meeting them face to face. It is simple but powerful :

Divine creator, father, mother, son as one . . . If I, my family, relatives, and ancestors have offended you, your family, relatives, and ancestors in thoughts, words, deeds, and actions from the beginning of our creation to the present , we ask your forgiveness . . . Let this cleanse, purify, release, cut all the negative memories, blocks, energies, and vibrations, and transmute these unwanted energies to pure light . . . And it is done.

Second, the way Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len likes to heal is to first say " I am sorry" and "Please forgive me."  You say this to acknowledge that something -- without you knowing what it is -- has gotten into your body /mind system. You have no idea how it got there. You don't need to know. If you are overweight, you simply caught the program that is making you that way. By saying "I am sorry" you are telling the Divine that you want forgiveness inside yourself for whatever brought it to you. You are not asking the Divine to forgive you  ; you are asking the Divine to help you forgive yourself .

From there , you say "Thank you" and "I love you."
When you say "Thank you," you are expressing gratitude. You are showing  your faith that the issue will be resolved for the higher good of all concerned.
The beautiful phase "I love you" transmutes the energy from stuck to flowing. It reconnects you to the Divine. Since the zero state is one of pure love and has zero limits, you are beginning to get to that state  by expressing love.

What happens next is up to the Divine . You may be inspired to  take action of some sort. Whatever it is , do it. If you are not sure about the action to take, use this same healing method (say " I love you", I am sorry" , "Please forgive me" , "I thank you") on your confusion.  When you are clear, you'll know what to do.

Just keep cleaning continuously, non-stop.
This is a simplified version of the modernized ho'oponopono key method of healing and self-healing and problems solving.

About Water

“Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are gods.”

“Don't be ashamed to weep; 'tis right to grieve. Tears are only water, and flowers, trees, and fruit cannot grow without water. But there must be sunlight also. A wounded heart will heal in time, and when it does, the memory and love of our lost ones is sealed inside to comfort us.”

“Cry. Forgive. Learn. Move on. Let your tears water the seeds of your future happiness.”

“For whatever we lose (like a you or a me),
It's always our self we find in the sea.”

“The only drink I like ice in is water, because you can’t water down water. I’m like that with love, too. Don’t you dare add any ice to the hot liquid loving I’m trying to pour all over you.”

“Anger is like flowing water; there's nothing wrong with it as long as you let it flow. Hate is like stagnant water; anger that you denied yourself the freedom to feel, the freedom to flow; water that you gathered in one place and left to forget. Stagnant water becomes dirty, stinky, disease-ridden, poisonous, deadly; that is your hate. On flowing water travels little paper boats; paper boats of forgiveness. Allow yourself to feel anger, allow your waters to flow, along with all the paper boats of forgiveness. Be human.”

“The cure for anything is salt water - tears, sweat, or the sea.”

“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.
I am haunted by waters.”

“It is life, I think, to watch the water. A man can learn so many things.”

“Water does not resist. Water flows. When you plunge your hand into it, all you feel is a caress. Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you. But water always goes where it wants to go, and nothing in the end can stand against it. Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone. Remember that, my child. Remember you are half water. If you can't go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does.”

“A Kiss is a terrible name for a piece of chocolate shaped like a water droplet, because kisses are hot and would melt chocolate—even if it is wearing an astronaut suit made out of tinfoil.

“She loves the serene brutality of the ocean, loves the electric power she felt with each breath of wet, briny air.”

“I just bought a small condo overlooking the water. The water is in a cup, one floor below my unit.
”

“Human nature is like water. It takes the shape of its container.”

“No matter how much water a sink takes on, it never lives up to its name. The Titanic would never have sunk if it were made out of a sink.
”

 “Full fathom five thy father lies;
Of his bones are coral made;
Those are pearls that were his eyes:
Nothing of him that doth fade,
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange.
Sea-nymphs hourly ring his knell: Ding-dong
Hark! now I hear them,—Ding-dong, bell.”
― William Shakespeare, The Tempest

“The ocean was the best place, of course. That was what she loved most. It was a feeling of freedom like no other, and yet a feeling of communion with all the other places and creatures the water touched.”

“I don’t drink water, because if water can erode rock, think what it can do to flesh.
”

“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.” ― Martin Luther King Jr.

“Water is the driving force in nature.” ― Leonardo da Vinci

“Ocean: A body of water occupying two-thirds of a world made for man - who has no gills.”

“You never really know what's coming. A small wave, or maybe a big one. All you can really do is hope that when it comes, you can surf over it, instead of drown in its monstrosity.”

“I read once that water is a symbol for emotions. And for a while now I've thought maybe my mother drowned in both.”

“In one drop of water are found all the secrets of all the oceans; in one aspect of You are found all the aspects of existence.” ― Kahlil Gibran

“An over-indulgence of anything, even something as pure as water, can intoxicate.”
