The Cartilage Repair System

The repair system of the cartilage can only be established from the base cells that are attached to the bone. The contact surfaces that rub against one another, even when water and food supply are now made available to them, cannot provide the permanent padding that normally develops from the bone-connected growing base of the cartilage. If the signals of water deficiency of the joint cartilage are not recognized for what they mean, and pain-killers drugs of whatever kind are used, no matter how pretentious to providing the solution, the immediate outcome will be a dependence on the addictive medication. The more important result of this inaccurate and bad education will be that permanent damage to the cartilage separation of the joint bones will develop. The cartilage will die in places and the bones surface will be exposed to direct contact.

This is when osteoarthritis and joint deformity will be established ー an irreparable joint pathology (see Fig. 29 in the post Joint Cartilage and Bone Circulation) . A far more important problem can be the  dangerous side effects of these chemical medications. They can produce chemical-physiological complications that in extreme cases may eventually cause death, often from severe bleeding into the stomach. Every year, thousands die from this very complication of the misuse of "pain-killers" in rheumatoid arthritis.
