The China Project

was Dr. T.Colin Campbell's study on Diet, Lifestyle and Mortality in China: A study of the Characteristics of 65 Chinese Counties, showed that as people became more "civilized" and lived near or in large cities, their health became increasing poor.

This study showed that as they ate more refined white rice and refined white flour and less whole foods (brown rice, 100% whole wheat) they suffered from the diseases of "civilised" people. People who lived in the more rural areas of China had none of the diseases of the wealthy. These diseases are various cancers, diabetes, heart disease and osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis (bone related diseases) was unheard of in the rural areas where they ate no dairy products and only consumed vegetable proteins or no more than 7% of their daily protein from animal proteins.

All of their calcium came from vegetables sources like dark green leafy vegetables, sea vegetables and tofu. Cabbage is very rich in natural organic calcium with other minerals like magnesium , potassium, etc and is easily absorbed by the human body.

Dr Colin Campbell estimated that the average rural Chinese woman ate about 400 mg of calcium in the form of food stuffs. And still they had no osteoporosis !
The study reports that their conclusion for this is that they ate very little animal protein and animal fats. They ate whole foods! Health foods!

Look at Yao Ming before he went to America to play NBA professional basketball, while he was there and later, how he has to go back to China to treat his health condition. Wealth affluence can influence one's health.

Whole foods can help restore vitality and energy in anyone at any age - even if you have been eating the typical SAD (Sad American Diet) of most refined flour and refined sugar (white bread, white paste, cookies "famous Amos", boxed cereal and crackers, etc.); and refined oils (margarine, shortening and packaged foods).
